Chapter 37 – Unexpected

The New Year has just passed a few days ago, but to a person as bored as Amber, driving is the only thing that keeps her “alive” and preoccupied with a lot of things that have been confusing her lately.

She’s been hanging out a lot with Suzy for the few weeks since the fight with Soojung. For her, she’d rather call it hanging out than going out. Though she told Suzy that she’d try her best to recognize her feelings and return the love that the younger girl gives to her, she knows very well that it wouldn’t be easy to tell her heart to forget Jung Soojung.

It was actually a good thing that Suzy took a vacation in a province with her family. She was at least able to have some time alone and think, but much to her dismay, she only ended up more confused than before.

“Why don’t you try to move your and be a man just for once, and talk to Soojung.” Her friend, Kwon Yuri, advised her one afternoon when she decided to visit the older girl’s café. “What are you afraid of? That Soojung hates you that much that she might end up killing you? C’mon Am, Soojung is not a monster or something, she’s a girl.”

“Don’t most guys consider girls as monsters?” Amber answered the older girl, earning a smack on her head. “See?! You’re a girl, hence you’re a monster! That hurts you know.”

“You are also a girl!” Yuri was about to hit her again, but this time she was able to hold it and calmed her nerves by sipping her coffee and continued, “Anyway, as I was saying, it’s not as if you’re going to cheat or something. You yourself told me that Suzy and you aren’t officially dating. But seriously kid, you’re always seen with her.”

“Are you stalking me?”

“Not me but our ‘fans’. Let me tell this to you and I hope this will sink into that dense brain of yours.”
