Chapter 17 – HaeSica?

“Hey annoying AJ, wake up.” A soft voice said as I felt someone poked my nose and cheeks.

I slowly sat up straight and rubbed my eyes.

Darn… I fell asleep.

“It’s just your head on my shoulder but it’s already that heavy. Too much air on your head?”

What?! I fell asleep on her shoulder?!

Dammit.

I stood up straight and ran towards her. I kept on yawning while I walk behind her. I really feel so sleepy right now. When she went inside the convenience store, I pulled out my phone and texted Donghae oppa.

Amber: Can you pick me up oppa? I really am sleepy right now. I’ll wait for you in the train station near Soojung’s house.

Donghae: Got it Baby Dino. I’m on my way now.

“Hey!”

I looked up only to see Soojung throw a can of drink to me. As soon as caught it, I looked at it.

Coffee?

I smiled at myself, feeling happy that somehow, even just a little bit, she thought of me.

“Thanks!” I shouted as she walked towards her house. I kept on leaning on the post and looked at her back. I was surprised when she looked back at me though, which she barely do.

I smiled at her and stupidly waved my hand at her.

As soon as she went inside, I opened the can of coffee and drank it all at once. After I finished all of it and put it in the trashcan, I pulled out my phone. I thought hard on what to tell her. I asked Suzy for her number a few weeks ago, but up until now, I still don’t know what to tell her. Of course I want to call her or text her sweet nothings, but I kept on doubting whether I should send it to her or not, considering that technically, she’s still Minho’s girlfriend.

Is it funny to think that I don’t have the guts to ask for your number? I got your number from Suzy.

I finally texted her… but as expected, she didn’t reply.

I sighed deeply as I left the area.

I typed on my phone, still contemplating whether to push the send button.

I screamed to myself as I pushed the send button with closed eyes and walked away quickly.

Jessica’s POV

I saw her waved her hand as soon as she saw me went in the café near the train station. I approached her and sat in front.

“Wow, for a record, you’re only 10 minutes late!” The girl in front of me commented.

“Do you want to die Kwon Yuri?”

“Hahaha… Please don’t kill me yet Sica. You still need me in your races.”

“Okay, if it’s something good for us, I won’t mind her being absent today.”

“So what do you want to talk about? I already gave the note to Ember HD. I’m sure they’ve read it already and is preparing to face us.”

“She said she’s fine with it as long as all is fair. She trusts us and she knows you’re only doing this because of your sister.”
