CHAPTER 9: OBSTACLES (PART 1)

Jiyeon was in her bed, and was thinking about what she had heard when she came back to gave food to Eunjung this evening. Now she knew that the reason why Eunjung had that headache. She was sick. She did not know what kind of sickness was, but she knew the heath condition with Eunjung was really not good. That girl was the person had helped her during hardship; the girl who helped her to get out of that dark world. She felt safe and warm when around this girl. She did not want something bad to happen with Eunjung. Jiyeon realized that Eunjung closely played an important part in her life.

-Eunjung, I’ll help you. _ Jiyeon said to herself. She would do her best to help the other girl.

Next morning

-Eunjung, do you feel better? _ Jiyeon checked Eunjung’s temperature by touching her forehead. Eunjung was surprised with the touch.

-I … I’m fine.

-What’s wrong? _ Jiyeon asked Eunjung back. She wondered why the older girl stuttered like that.

-Nothing. I’m fine.

-Today, I make your favorite soup. It’s good for your stomach. _ Eunjung was surprised again because Jiyeon talked much today. After about 2 months living together, this was the first time. She felt strange but like it.

-You seem happy. Can you share with me? _ Eunjung smiled brightly at the other. Jiyeon’s face turned red.

-Nothing. Have your breakfast. Then go to work. It’s a bit late._ Jiyeon urged. In fact, she did not what to say. She was not used to talking too much.

-Uhm. Have your breakfast with me. _Eunjung gently said with a smile. She was happy that Jiyeon was open with her.

Jiyeon said nothing but sat down and had breakfast with Eunjung. Eunjung looked at the girl in front of her. She popped up an idea.

-Jiyeon, do you want to have a day out with me?

-What are you talking about? _ Jiyeon asked. She never had the idea of going out. Since her mother died, she had never gone out for relaxation.

-I mean going out with me to somewhere to relax. We’re like workaholic . I think we should have some fun together. What do you say? _Eunjung excitedly suggested.

-I think I can’t. I still have another place to work, remember? _ Jiyeon could not leave Hyomin alone. Recently, she felt closer and closer to the other.

-I know, but I hope that you can think about my suggestion. _ Eunjung of course knew what Jiyeon was thinking because she knew Hyomin’s condition, but she did not want to make it too clear. She had a plan.

-Uhm. I’ll think about it later. _ Jiyeon simply answered. Honestly, she wanted to go out with Eunjung. She was not the person who asked for something luxurious. To her, going out for fun was something like that. However, this time, she felt like going out with the older without a reason.

In the evening, Eunjung left the company earlier to have a check up with her private doctor.

-It’s lucky that the black blood is not spreading fast. I’ll give you some medicine. These drugs can make you feel tired, so you need to rest when that comes, got it? _ The doc strongly asks Eunjung. He knew how stubborn this girl was.

-I know how to take care of myself. _ The doc just sighed.

-If you don’t know how to, then I’ll tell your health status to your family, remember!

-Stop threatening me. _ Eunjung felt extremely annoyed that the doc used this way again. The doc said nothing since he was used to with this kind of reaction.
