CHAPTER 1: THE PAST (PART 1)

I'm Park Soyeon. I used to have a family with a father, amother and a younger brother. Now, it hasn't been mine anymore. My existence is mistake. When I was born, my father's business became bad, my mother's health wasn't good either. Therefore, i received less love from my parents than other children. My father was always strict at me, my mother had no opinion. I had to take care of my mother so I couldn't go out much. One time, I had to stay at school to discuss with teacher about some problems because I was a monitor of the class. I came home late than usual. When I came home, I was hit by my father. he used his belt to hit me. The next day, I couldn't go to school, I didn't dare to show up in front of him. My mother came to comfort and apply on my bruises. She said "your father was just so tired and stressful. He didn't mean to do this". That evening, he came home and brought food to my room. I could see his tears when he looked at my bruises. Sine then, I was cared more and I could feel this is family that I want. However, it didn't last long.

A yaer later, my mother gave birth for my younger brother. When he was born, my father's career became good, my mother's health became stable. He's opposite from me. My parents cared about him more. This was what I could expect but I couldn't expect that my father totally forgot about me. For instance, when he bought toys or games, he just bought for him. I would get hit if I made him cry.. I could understand why he did that. I think he didn't mean but that was his nature action. I always git up for my brother. He's my younger brother after all, especially when he made mistakes. He begged me to save him from purnishment . I couldn't refuse so I agreed. mY method was that I got purnishment for him. Why? Because when my father knew that was his fault he would scold both of us. He said "Why don't you know how to play with him? You're older so you have to be better to teach him". Therefore, I chose to be scolded. I get used to with it. Otherwise, I was loved by teachers and friends in school, it made my life a bit better.

When I was 18, I decided to live independantly. I worked part time jobs to earn. In the morning, I was a waitress in a fast food store. In the evening, i worked as a painter on the streets. My father wanted my brother to go to famous university. However, my family's f
