CHAPTER 8: CHANGES (PART 8)

Soyeon’s POV

Last night was a new experience to me. I was glad she didn’t lead us to a luxurious restaurant like I have imagined. It was a traditional restaurant. As I expected, we had dinner in a private room. For me, I would prefer to eat among the crowd. It is much cozier, but I guess Boram isn’t comfortable with that. About my sons, they seem to enjoy the dinner. I have no complaints about the food. They were absolutely stunning. I guess the price wasn’t cheap at all, but Boram didn’t show me the bill.

It’s been a while since I visited Hyomin. I have made a promise with Ms.Kim to help her. However, I think I haven’t fulfilled that promise well. Therefore, today, I use my day off to visit her with my sons.

-Good morning! _ I greet her with cheerful voice.

-Soyeon unnie! _ Hyomin seems shocked. I guess she doesn’t know I was back two days ago.

-Hyomin aunty, good morning!

-Mason, Mavin, you are also here. Come in! _ She opens the door for us skillfully. Sometimes, I really look up to this girl. She tries to do everything by herself. I can understand why she has to be like that.

-Where's Jiyeon? Today’s not Jiyeon working day, right?_ I ask Hyomin when we are in the house. We’re sitting in the garden while I watch the boys playing. I know Hyomin can’t see but I know how naughty my boys are by hearing.

-Yes, but recently, she usually passes by my house in the evening even it’s not her working day.

-Really? You two are closer? _ I’m really glad to know that.

-Not really because she doesn’t show her real feeling. _ I know what she means. _ I’m not good at communicating, so…

-Don’t be negative! I think Jiyeon is also like you. She just doesn’t know how to connect with people. I think she also wants to make friend to you. _ I comfort this girl. I guess she has some crazy thinking in her head now. I know it since she shows it on her face.

-I guess she just doesn’t to make friend with a b…

-Don’t say like that. I’m sure she also wants to be your friend. _ I know it. This girl always has some dim view about herself. I have to change this. I really want to help her, and I should get Jiyeon in this _ Hyomin, I really want to be your friend truly. I don’t want to become your friends because anyone or anything, but it is simply I want to be your friend. Remember that? _ I hold her hand tight to let her know how sincere my words are. She doesn’t say anything, and even doesn’t hold my hand back. After a while, she finally holds my hand softly like she’s scared she will hurt me.

-I’ll remember this. Thank you. _ Hyomin is about to shade tears.

-Don’t cry. _ I hug her to comfort her. She seems more vulnerable.

My boys come to our place after running around. They are tired.

-Are you hungry? _ Hyomin softly asks.

-Yes. Mom, can we have something to eat? _ My younger boy asks in unstable breath because he just run around too much, while my older boy doesn’t have strength to say. _

-I say to you that don’t run too much.

-I guess you are sweating a lot. You should go to the bathroom. _ Hyomin likes children a lot.

-Yes, aunty. _ I know Hyomin just saves them.

-Your work is good? _ I ask her. I wonder that the staff treats her well.

-I try to get used to with the working environment. _ I can realize there is sadness in her tone.

-Don’t worry. Everything will be all right. _ I hug her, and she also hugs me back.

-Thank you.

-Nothing. Let’s have lunch. _ I think this is a good start …

Qri’s POV

It’s Sunday, and I know that Boram was back. However, I haven’t seen her since this morning. I have seen EUnjung. She said she had to go out, and she would not come back. I wonder what has she done recently. She seems that she covers something from us. I have to ask her later. I don’t want to ruin our relationship just like that.

-Miss, have you seen Boram? _ I ask a maid in our house.

-No, I think she’s still in her bedroom. _ I guess Boram doesn’t want to see me.

-Ok, thanks.

I go upstairs and stand in front of Boram’s room. I never feel this nervous when seeing one of my sisters. I take this move without telling them, so they don’t understand me. I know, however, they still trust me.
