*Myungsoo POV*
Damn. I just had the weirdest dream. I saw my baby Yeol crying over me, who was apparently dead and bloody. Weird right?! It was so realistic that I could actually feel the pain all over my body. Wow. I shifted on the cold, hard floor. Wait a minute. Floor? I slowly opened my eyes, squinting at the brightness of the place. Slowly getting accustomed to the light, I opened my eyes wide.
What. The. .
My jaw dropped. Did Yeol paint the whole house white while I was asleep and added some super powerful white lights? I gaped at the long unending corridor before me. It was just so… white. So bright. So pure. You get my point. This DEFINITELY isn’t our house. I patted the empty space next to me, confused as to why Sungyeol wasn't next to me, as he always is every morning. I sat up in confusion. Where am I? What am I doing here? I rubbed my eyes furiously, wondering if it was just a dream. When I opened them again, I was in the same place. I wasn't dreaming. Out of instinct, I looked down at the rest of my body.
I was wearing a white robe. What the-
Why on earth would I be wearing a robe?
Pushing that question to the back of my mind, I had the sudden urge to stand. I rose to my feet unsteadily, clutching at the wall for support. My legs felt like jelly. Not a nice feeling. I fell on my with a “plop” sound. I groaned. My eyebrows furrowed together in concentration as I tried to stand properly.
“Kim Myungsoo?”
I looked up at the sound of my name. In front of me stood a teenage guy, the blonde highlights in his chestnut brown hair making him look like a gangster or just your typical rebellious kid, but he looked kind enough when he smiled. He was wearing the same white robes as me, which I found a little... mismatched,
“Um… that’s me.” I answered awkwardly.
He chuckled and offered his hand to me, wanting to help me stand properly.
I laughed sheepishly and grabbed his hand, hoisting myself up. He invited me to take a walk with him. Normally I wouldn’t trust strangers. Even those that help you up. Especially when they have gangster hair like him. But I accepted his invitation. Something at the back of my mind told me that I should.
“So, tell me, do you remember?” He spoke, breaking the tension.
My left eyebrow shot up. Remember what? Am i missing something here?
Seeing my puzzled look, he cringed. “I guess not.”
He suddenly came to a stop, causing me to stop too. He inhaled deeply. “This may be a little hard to accept but… you’re dead, Myungsoo.”
Whaaaaat?
“Haha. You’re joking right? Very funny.” I let out a nervous laugh, looking at him uncertainly. But his face remained completely serious and emotionless. O…kay. Maybe he wasn’t.
So this is heaven? Hmm… wasn’t really what I expected. I thought it’d be… angels with halos and wings running on clouds, playing in green pastures, God walking around hi-fiving everyone, huge floating shopping malls and so on. But no. It’s just an endless white corridor. Aww…
“But… but how? It’s impossible. I don’t even recall dying.” I bit my lower lip, thinking hard.
“You got into a car accident. Don't you remember? Think harder.” He explained patiently, As if him telling me that would help me regain my memory. I strained my mind. Hmm.... Oh the dream!!! So the dream last night wasn’t really a dream?
Wait.
That means I’m dead.
Oh my god.
Sungyeol! Oh my baby Yeol, Oh my god that means he was really crying and everything and so upset and-
I was going to propose to him.
.
“Now, please don’t panic, stay calm. Listen to what I have to say first.” He seemed to be able to read my mind as I panicked, rubbish running through my mind.
My mind quietened down as I waited eagerly for him to explain the situation.
“I shall now show you your boyfriend, Sungyeol.” He waved his hands, and a crystal ball appeared out of thin air. My eyes bulged out of my skull. COOL. He grinned, pleased with himself. Touching the ball gently, he whispered Sungyeol's name and an image of my darling appeared. My lips broke out into a wide smile. But then, the smile faded. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.
