Chapter Forty-Seven
Spectrum {[Apply Closed]}“This place is pretty impressive,” muttered Sora, “Sure the other dorm had sentimental value to it since it was our first dorm, but this one is quickly growing on me with the fact that it’s much more spacious.”
The others nodded in agreement, liking it for the fact that they could actually breathe since the other one felt bit suffocating with how small the dorm had been. They all piled their things into the spacious living room, waiting for their managers to come in with their things. Upon the duo finally making it up into the room, they peered at the six members of Spectrum.
“Why are you all just standing there?” questioned Hyun Soo, “Decide who gets what room and so on.”
“First dibs,” stated Minhyun, earning a disapproving glance from Younghun.
The leader then stated, “You all choose yours first. Minhyun and I can deal with what’s left.”
“Says who?” questioned Minhyun, looking at the leader, defiance burning in his gaze as he turned to look at the elder.
“Says your elder,” shot back Younghun, smiling cutely towards the younger despite using the strict tone that usually only came out when they were goofing off during practice when they should be focusing on something else.
“Alright, the leader has spoken,” stated Shin, “However, as second oldest I claim the rights of first pick.”
Younghun laughed and waved the second oldest to choose which ever of the three rooms he wanted, knowing that the younger deserved a comfortable room for all the work he had done for the group and the company. Younghun took a seat in the rather bland living room, happily stretching out on the plush couch. Minhyun frowned at him, but the elder carelessly ignored him, his eyes trained to the other males scrambling around the new dorm, exploring it happily and finally deciding on their rooms, leaving Younghun and Minhyun with the smallest of the rooms.
“Thanks a lot leader,” stated Minhyun, sarcasm dripping from his voice.
“You are very welcome, Minhyun-ah,” stated Younghun as he neatly put his things away, ignoring his groaning roommate.
“I hate you.”
“Love you too.”
Minhyun rolled his eyes, leaving the room rather angrily.
“Just admit it already, you like him,” stated Woojung, causing Minhyun to jump and spin on his heel to stare at the younger who was casually leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.
“I-I do not,” muttered Minhyun, stubbornly.
Without noticing it too much, time passed by rather quickly days passed followed by weeks, soon the holidays came and so did Woo Jung’s birthday – which was like the previous days except for the boys had free time and celebrated with a cake, most of which ended up on the members rather and the floor rather than actually being eaten. They also gifted the male; however, it was nothing expensive. The highlight of the male’s day had been that he had been given the day following his birthday off, in turn meaning that he got to spend the night and following day with his precious younger sister.
Upon Woojung’s departure from the dorms, the other members started cleaning up the dorms after their party – meaning most of them were cleaning up the icing of the cake which was managing to stain not only the floors but the walls of their relatively new dorm.
“Why didn’t we celebrate like this for my birthday?” complained Minhyun, “It was two months ago after all!”
“Well, hyung, if you had been nicer maybe we wouldn’t have forgotten about it!” stated Sora, sticking his tongue out at the elder.
Minhyun quickly got to his feet to attack the younger, but slipped on a portion of the hardwood floor that Younghun had just finished cleaning – in the end, landing harshly on his tail bone and causing the other members to burst into laughter.
“Also, you did celebrate it Minhyun,” reminded Younghun, “You celebrated by going out and getting drunk which ended up with Woojung having to drag your drunken back to the dorms.”
Minhyun flushed slightly and frowned at the elder, “Shut up.”
“No,” responded the leader, smirking towards the younger – in turn causing the other three to shake their heads and mutter something along the lines of wanting the two to just to get together already and stop flirting with each other.
As quickly as Woo Jung’s birthday came, it passed as did the holidays and little did the males realize that they had already made it into 2014 and had received notice of the fact that they were indeed to start preparations for their comeback after months of focusing on improving their various different abilities – the boys had lost track of how much time had truly passed, most of the males had seen improvement in certain criteria – some in the same, others in their own.
Hyun Soo stood in the kitchen with the six males, looking down at the papers in his hands which were the schedules for the members, “You all have tomorrow off to do whatever you want, if you want to you can invite your family members over because I know for a fact that we will have a couple of children at the apartment the whole day tomorrow since Younghun is babysitting his nephew and niece since his sister and brother have to make an appearance at some sort of party. If any of you want to invite someone to spend the day here or go out with them you can. I’m not in charge of you all tomorrow.”
A low buzz arose from the other five members and Hyun Soo shook his head before setting the boy’s individual schedules for the week on the table, “Shall I read your all’s schedule for the days following?”
The boys shrugged and the manager sighed.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” stated Hyun Soo, “the day after tomorrow and the day after that you all will be spending your day in the studio recording your album – although you all haven’t reached a level of popularity like some of your fellow rookies, we’ve decided to have you all release yet another full length album consisting of a spectrum of different genres. Then after that you all will continue your dance practices with the demo of the songs you all are going to be promoting this time around.”
The boys nodded.
“The only thing is though, during the group session Sora, Minhyun, and Woojung will be absent from the recording,” stated Hyun Soo, “So you can technically just say that half the group is recording and then the other half is doing so as well.”
Again the males nodded.
“Anyway, Sora has been chosen to act in drama while Woojung and Minhyun have been chosen for a clothing catalog shoot,” stated Hyun Soo, “At this point in time, we’re giving Younghun and Shin a week off from doing things like that due to how active we’ve had them both within the company with their own little projects and with their own solo schedules.”
The other four nodded in understanding and Hyun Soo carried on to talk about Xue, “Your magnae will technically come late to the recording due to his break classes…That’s about it.”
The boys hummed in understanding.
“Anyhow, enjoy the night off and the day off tomorrow,” stated Hyun Soo before looking at his watch, “According to the time, Younghun’s noona will arrive with the kids in about an hour.”
Younghun nodded from where he was sitting in one of the chairs in the living room, studying a set of papers that sat before him while sipping on a cup of coffee.
“I though you guys said they were coming tomorrow,” stated Minhyun.
“Did I say that?” muttered Hyun Soo, “They are staying here tonight, and they’re going to use my room since I’m going to be spending the night with my family in Incheon.”
Minhyun frowned at the thought of having to spend the night and possibly the day with two children.
This chapter is jumpy and a little messy due to the fact that it was written over a time span of about a month and a half - I'm sorry. *bows* Hopefully you all still enjoyed the chapter.
This chapter was actually written in early January as well, however, due to school being a , I was unable to post it. However, I have the time now, so here it is. I hope you enjoyed the double update - although this is crap.
