UPDATE #1 (originally chapter four)

I've decided to start putting up, updates like this one - which will mainly be posted every so often to remind those of you who have subscribed but haven't applied how much longer you have until the deadline - which is a little under two weeks now. 

This one is mainly just about me telling you all that, plus asking that you would vote in THIS(<- hyperlink) poll about how many members you think should be in the group - I would like to keep it under nine. I'm asking this of you all because I would like to get that number decided before the story actually starts (meaning before I have the nine who will appear in the first couple of chapters - reminder: NOT all of them will be members of the group - chosen).

UPDATE #2 (originally chapter five)

For those of you who have yet to put in your application form, you have about a week and a half until the application deadline - from how many people have applied so far I don't think I'm going to push back the deadline. However, I might have to if I do not get more masculine members - not saying I'm displeased with the others, because there are quite a few that have gotten my attention right away and I really like.  

Also, I had previously forgotten about that stupid Lastest User Poll section, so I got a crap load of votes from people who probably don't know anything about what the poll was even for, so we're re-doing it. This time, just post your answer in the comments - it would be greatly appreciated.

For those of you who've forgotten the question, it was:

How many members should Spectrum have?

P.S. If your character is not listed in the accepted applicants' list, it's because I haven't had the time too look at them yet - due to homework/school and track - however, I will be looking at them in an hour or so, so they will be up soon.

UPDATE #3 (originally chapter six)

You all have a week left until the deadline, only 11 of you have applied. For those of you have yet to apply, make sure you have applied before or on the 23 - any later and it will not be accepted. 

Also, I still want to hear your all's opinions on how many members the group should have - if you've already voted, please do not vote again.

UPDATE #4 (originally chapter seven)

For those of whom who have yet to apply, please be doing so soon because the 23 is just around the corner (four/three days, depending on where you live). I decided to post this update today rather than tomorrow (it is the 19 where I live), since I have a crap load of homework I'm going to have to do tomorrow and probably won't make it onto the computer. 

Also, according to the votes in the comments, it's pretty much 7 people for six members and 3 (or so) for seven members. This vote will be on going until the six/seven members are decided. 

UPDATE #5 (originally chapter eight)

For those of you who have yet to apply but have subscribed, you only have a little over 24 hours to post your applications. The story won't say that the application is closed for a day or so due the fact I have to attend my cousin's wedding during the deadline.

As soon as my cousin's wedding is over - I'll be looking over the options and all of your applications again (on the two hour ride, returning from the wedding) and will choose the nine applicants I like best so I can post a chapter - or possibly a preveiw on the following day. 

UPDATE #6 (originally chapter nine)

This is the final update that will be posted, please know that once the story starts the updates will be erased and replaced with the chapters. Anyway, there are four of you that have yet to apply - I don't know if you plan on doing so, but you have a little under thirteen hours left to apply (going by the time where I live, where it is still the morning of the 23).

UPDATE #7 (originally chapter thirteen)

After a night of thinking and consideration, I’ve realized that I’m not really doing what I was originally planning on doing with the story, so to actually do as I said I was, I’m doing something one you gave me the idea for and that is –

I’m going to give you all the option to write a chapter about your character.

There are a multitude of reasons why I’m doing this:

-          I’ve been having a problem with some of your character’s personalities (as you all probably already know). I’m having a problem writing them – it’s a weakness of mine as a writer that I want to over come. This will give you the opportunity of allowing me and the reader get to know the characters a little better before I make my final decision on who I’m going to pick for the group – this may be the thing that gets your character picked if I'm trying decide on yours and another's character. 

-          It helps me see what you want your character to be like, again I feel like I'm not portraying them as well as I should. These are thoughts that have plagued my mind since I started writing the chapters - please understand no one made them appear suddenly through a comment. 

-          I like reader involvement (which is kind of obvious by now), hopefully it doesn’t annoy you all. On this subject, I’m always open for suggestions and ideas from the readers.

-          Also, I’m not going to be able to write chapters of my own for a while since I’m going out of town Tuesday & Wednesday (for the B.A.P Live on Earth Tour in Washington D.C.) and will be away from my laptop – I will have my phone with me though, but it’s a hassle to write with it. Plus, I’ll be out of town on Friday and will be busy writing my final project (a short story) for my creative writing class this week, which is due the 22 and 23 – it won’t take me long.

For those of you who choose to write a chapter:

-          Please let me know.

-          The chapter should be about your character going home for a day & a night (current place of residence part of the application *coughcough*) – short, I know.

-          Like I said above, it should help me and your fellow readers get to know your character better both personality wise and family wise.

-          If you have any questions on what else to include in your chapter (if you can’t think of anything) tell me what you have already in the comments, on my wall, or via private message – your choice – make it short and sweet and I’ll reply back as soon as I can with an ideas I have of what you can include.

-          There is no length requirement aside from making it too short – I will let you know upon the time I see it.

-          Tell me when your chapter is ready and I will make you a co-author so that you can post it. (I will edit any grammar mistakes I pick up on and will read over it and approve of its length – not really of its contents because the contents is of your choosing)

-          Take as much time as you need on these, but please have them done sometime this week or next. 

For those of you who choose not to write a chapter:

-          You can choose not to have a solo chapter (not really preferred)

-          You can send me a few well written paragraphs (preferably more than one or two depending on the length) about their home life and about what they are to do in the chapter via private message (only) and I will rearrange it into a chapter and make my best attempt at showing their personality.
