A Wall In between
"Are you trying to declare a war? If it's a war you want it's a war you'll get!" and then slammed the door shut.
He is so arrogant. I mean he gulbed it all down and complains about it. I stood there for a few minutes thinking about how arrogant and self centered he is. My mum and the visitors came downstairs.
"Hyungsoo ahh" my mums loud voice interupted my thoughts. As Myungsoo's brother and his mum headed out aswell I headed upstairs to finish off my homework.The house was back to it's silent state. I went to have dinner, got ready for bed, switched the lights off and went to lay down. I took my phone and texted Sun Hi to come a bit earlier tomorrow. I don't want to have bad luck right in the morning.
I woke up feeling the hot rays of sunlight on my face. I did a few stretches before looking at the clock which was quietly sat on my bedside table. Then I realized, I forgot to set the alarm. I was supposed to go on the early bus. It's 7, the time I usually wake up. I hurried to the toilet to get ready. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. While eating my toast, I ran out. I'm late, I'm late. Sun Hi is going to kill m- ouch.
"Who the heck -" I shouted as I looked up with my mouth full of toast. It was him along with his brother. I felt like an idiot. I rubbed my face and swallowed down my remaining breakfast. I started walking away when his brother called out, "Hey wait we can go to school together". I stopped and waited for him. I began to choke.
"Hey are you alright? Do you want some water?" He held out his water bottle.
I accepted it, "Thanks, I think you saved my life." I teased. We laughed.
"By the way, I'm Monsoon in year nine so two years younger than Myungsoo."
His voice was different from his brothers. Myungsoo had a cold tone to it whereas his was somehow warmer and sweeter. Despite their looks they seem really different. Monsoon was much more sociable than Myungsoo.
"I'm Hyunsoo. You already know I'm in your brothers class. I'm also the class president so feel free to ask for help anytime anyday.", I said. We started walking while Myungsoo followed a few meters behind us. We got to the bus stop in no time. With the constant talking I didn't notice time fly. In the bus me and Monsoon went to the back, Myungsoo kept his distance and stayed at the front. It's as if we were strangers. After a while I noticed that Sun Hi already left without me. That Sun Hi she is going to hear a piece of my mind.
As we reached school, we said our goodbyes and parted in opposite directions. I looked at my watch and decided to walk faster. The corridor was empty and quite. I could only hear footsteps. Mine and Myungsoo's which was not far behind. The closer I got to class, the more I thought of Sun Hi. How dare she do that to me?
As soon as I entered, I approched her with my hands ready to strangle her neck. But, before I could go further my other friends pushed me down to my seat.
"What the hec-?" I looked up seeing Jae Hwa and Mi Jin stood on either sides like guards while Hoo Sook and Young Mi attacked me with questions. What are they on about?! Oh my, don't tell me. How did they know? Aiish, SUN HI!!!
"Is it true?", Young Min asked. I nodded my head sadly.
"Good thing Sun Hi told us. Why didn't you tell us? We are friends remember?" Jae Hwa said. I sighed.
"Don't sigh at us", exclaimed Mi Jin. Aiish, can't I atleast beathe. Mi Jin was about to say something but we were all startled hearing the voice beside me.
"You are all just as loud as your friend Miss Annoying. You dont want me to label you guys aswell right?" All of us turned to get a greater shock. It was Myungsoo. He scared me half to death. How much did he hear? Does he know we were talking about him? Wait a sec, what did he say? Miss Annoying? I'm gonna go crazy because of the guy!!
Giving him a glare, I said, "Miss annoying isn't there any other way you could describe me?"
"Of course, there is", he replied, returning my glare.
"You are loud, short, weird, an idiot. Well I can continue but I should give your friends a chance to say something. So, do you guys have anything to add to that?"
He made a big mistake. My friends would never say anything bad about me. They are- before I could finish, all of them start saying things that were way worse than what he said. I could hear words such as 'bossy', 'arrogant', 'stubborn'. A good way to stab me in the back. I gave them all a look saying 'You guys are so dead'!!
"Yaah, what about my good points?!" I was going to go crazy if they didn't talk.
"She is the most friendliest person I ever met.", Young Mi said with a smile.
"She is one of the kindest and the smartest of people I've met, she can be bossy sometimes but that is just to keep us on track!", Hoo Sook added. I smiled.
"She is an angel but a devil when it comes to teaching.", said Mi Jin.
"Someone who is full of energy, trustworthy and someone you can rely on,",said Sun Hi. I smiled again.
"No comment", said Jae Hwa. I bursted out laughing. That was so like her.
My friends shared the same thought and joined in. We laughed til our stomach hurt. I felt Myungsoo staring, he quickly turned to face the front when I looked at him. I came to realize I didn't know much about him...
He seemed mysterious and didn't seem to blend in well with everyone else. Maybe he wasn't trying to blend in either...
