A Bad Monday!
A Wall In between
Soon Mrs Park arrived. We entered the class room after her. Ji Hyun was behind me. I could feel her glares. How uncomfortable!
We all went in and sat down. I took my seat near the window, Myungsoo on my right, Jae Hwa behind me, and Mi Jin in front if me.
"So class we have work to be getting on with. But I have something to prepare for Mr Parks class as he is on Paternal leave.", she said. Aleady? Its only been around a week and he is already on paternal leave? "So class you have to be getting on with your work and ask me if you need any help I'll be next door", she continued. "I'll be writing 3 essay questions on the board thats all your work for today", she said before writing 3 questions on the board.

'Describe changes in medicine during Middle Ages until Modern Medicine'
'What effect did the discovery of antiseptic have on medicine'
Each of them are 16 marks. That would take me around 35 minutes to do. Lets just get on with it. I looked at the lined paper provided to me and turned to the clock. I started writing and just got on with it looking at the clock once in a while. 32 minutes passed and I finished. 3 minuted earlier than expected. I have around 1 hour and 20 minutes left. I looked
around. Everyone was too focused on the work. I turned to the clock again. I put my head down. I fell asleep...
I felt something hitting my foot. I woke up and rubbed my eyes. I felt it again but this time it was much harder.
"Oww", I moaned in a tired voice trying to keep my voice down. I turned around. It was Ji Hyun. I straightened up. I found piece of paper around my work area.
"Sorry never meant to hurt you. You shouldnt be sleeping!", she exclaimed. But it hurt so much.
"Hey what was that for I saw that", I heard Myungsoo say. Our attention turned to him.
"I just woke her up. The model student shouldnt be sleeping in class.", she said. "Besides
werent you the one flicking pieces of paper at her?", she asked.
"I have the right to. And besides why did you just kick her?", he asked once again. I could feel tension build up so I kept quiet.
"Tsk. Why do you care?", she asked. I still kept quiet.
"Hey its alright. I'm fine. See.", I said and stood up. At that moment my ankle twisted. Wasnt the pain from my foot getting hurt enough?
"Aahh", I growned. Ji Hyun gasped. Mi Jin immedialty stood up and supported me. I tried to step forward. It was a sharp pain.
"Yah Hyunsoo ah are you okay",
Jae Hwa stood up. I tried to step again. Still hurt.
"I'll run and tell Mrs Park", she said before leaving the room. Myungsoo stood up.
"Get on my back!", he said while bending down.
"Huh?". Everyone looked at him. The class turned their attention to us. Ji Hyun gasped aswell.
"Are you deaf? Get on my back!", he shouted. I got startled.
"No my leg is alright. Its nothing", I smiled. But it hurt a lot.
"Shut up.", his voice was furious. I looked at Mi Jin this time she got startled.
"I'm taking you to the medical room. You cant let your foot get any worse. Besides you fainted today. Its better for you to go to the medical room", he said.
"Dont worry I can make it there myself. I can take care of myself", I told him.
"She is the class president after all. She should do all this herself", Ji Hyun said. She looked away. Her voice was filled with regret but she was annoyed.
"Shut up yo-"
"Yaah Myungsoo.", I interupted him. "I can fight my own battles
myself. I'm old enough to make my own decisions. And Ji Hyun.", she turned to face me, "We might not be in good terms since the beginning. But we only have to get along for a few more months. I think we can manage that!", I told her.
Myungsoo got fustrated. He coughed to tell us that he was still there on the floor.
"I think you should get going to the medical room. You werent well from the morning", Mi Jin said. I nodded. I started hopping my way to the door.
"Where do you think youre going like that?", Myungsoo asked.
I didnt reply and kept hopping. He walked besides me in a really slow pace showing me that I wont get anywhere today.
"I wont ask you to pay me for the trip", he said. I still didnt reply.
"Geez this girl", he bent down once again and forced me onto his back.
"If you dont want to fall down. I advise you to hold on.", I did as he said. This is so embarrassing. I knew everyone was looking but I didnt have the guts to look back. "Look it wasnt that hard now was it?", he said sarcastically. I didnt reply. He walked out through the empty corridor. We didnt talk. We arrived at the medical room.
"Lee Hyunsoo again? Second time today. Today is the first time you actually came here. And you brought your friend with you", said the school nurse. I smiled and received a smile back. Myungsoo put me down on the medical bed to let her examine my ankle and took a seat outside the room. The school nurse was quite nice. She wrapped my ankle in a bandage.
"You sprained your ankle quite badly. I think its best for you to get rest for a week." WHAT A WEEK? Ive got exams next week. "I know you have exams next week but I want you to be better next week for those exams! So you are banned from school this week.", I sighed and nodded.
"And that boy? Your boyfriend?", she asked.
"No no hes just a class mate. And hes also my neightbour.", I replied.
She smiled. "Well lets phone home then. I think its good for you to visit the doctors although they wont be able to do anything else. Just inform them for future reference.", she said.
"My mum wont be at home in a while and my dad is abroad.", I replied.
She walked out thinking. "Oh youre still here. Please do me a favour and take Hyunsoo home. I give you permission to miss your lessons today. Could you please take her to the doctors aswell since she will be alone at home.", I heard her say. I hopped off the bed and went outside to check.
"Oh Myungsoo youre still here", I asked. He nodded. He agreed to the nurse.
"Get on I'll carry you again", he said.
"Are you stupid you cant walk that far with me and two bags", I shouted.
"Youve never seen me carry a person and two bags so how would you know?". Its pointless arguing with him. I just got on without arguing.
"I'm heavy you know" I said.
"Yes I figured it out. You eat too much", he pointed out. I cringed
my nose. Idiot. But I was grateful. He grew closer to me. He started walking. I grabbed and leaned forward.
"Dont take advantage of this. I know I'm handsome but dont enjoy being so close to me.", he tried breaking the silence. I was too tired to answer.
"Whats that girls problem? Whats her name again? Ji Hyun?", he asked.
"Dont ask", I replied. We continued walking in silence. And were close to my house. I felt really tired and was about to fall asleep.
"Air Myungsoo has reached its destination. We thank you for flying with Air Myungsoo and we hope you have a good time at your destination", he laughed cheering me up. I smiled. I put me on the floor and told me to open the door and put me on the sofa.
"I'll be right back. Can I borrow your keys", he asked. I handed him my keys. He headed out leaving me behind. Home sweet home...
