New Challenge
A Wall In betweenHeeeey guys!! ^^ I'm back with another chapter :D. I hope I'm progressing well. If you haven't already noticed, we are still on march so it has only been around 2/3 months since Myungsoo moved in. Anyways I hope you have checked out my trailers. If not GO CHECK EM OUT NOW!! A few days past after White day. I was in school. The first two periods past and it was break time. Hyun Jae rushed to my table. She was eager to tell me something for the whole day. The whole gang gathered around my table. Myungsoo was startled at the sight of this and got up ready to leave.
"Wait this concerns you too," Hyun Jae said which stopped Myungsoo from going anywhere and sitting back down in his seat. He turned his attention to my table where everyone else was.
"Go on what is it? We were waiting so eargerly since morning" Young Mi whinned. Hyun Jae got some sort of poster out of her bag and showed it. We all leaned towards it to read it.
"I applied Hyunsoo and Myungsoo for this," she smiled. We looked at her and leaned forward to read the text properly. 'Couple Singing contest' it said. My eyes widened.
"Wait you have to audition for this. How did you apply us?" I asked. She giggled.
"The party. Naeng Myun? Remember? One of the boys filmed it and I asked him for the copy and sent it" she said. My jaw dropped open.
"Whaaaat??" I shouted. Myungsoo shushed me as the class was looking at me. I put my head down.
"What were you thinking?" I asked.
"It's a good idea," Hoo Sook said.
"Shut up" I glared at her making her look away.
"Come on you two are good," Hyun Jae begged, "The prize is a few concert tickets."
"Who cares if they are concert tickets," I said bluntly.
"TVXQ tickets. For all of us including Minhwa and Monsoon. With VIP tickets to get backstage," she smiled. Myungsoo's eyes widened. He looked at me with puppy eyes. I glared back at him.
"That means I can see Yunho?" Jae Hwa asked.
"And Jaejoong," Hyun Jae added. Everyone looked up and sighed.
"You have to enter," Mi Jin demanded. I glared at her. It seemed like I was the only one who didn't like the idea.
"Roger," Myungsoo replied. I gave him a weird look. Myungsoo and agreeing to do things like this? No way.
"I don't want to enter," I moaned.
"Please," Sun Hi begged.
"Can't one of you do it? I mean Hyun Jae's got a good voice. Much better than mine" I said.
"But you two look like a better couple. Besides I sent your video for the auditions already." she said. I thought.
"Please? I'll do anything to see my idols," Myungsoo begged. I turned my attention towards him.
"Anything huh?" I smirked, "I'm in then". Everyone cheered apart from Myungsoo who was struck. I gave him a cheeky smile. Break was over and we all decided to discuss this after school at my house. After all it is our meeting place and everyones second home. We left school and arrived home. After some lunch we held our discussion.
"I cancelled football practice for this. So it better be useful," Myungsoo complained.
"Dude you were the one who wanted to do this the most," I said.
"But why do I have to hang out with a bunch of girls for that? It's tiring" he complained even more.
"Shut up," I moaned. Hyun Jae finally joined us. She seemed prepared. She sat down and completed the circle we made.
"Okay we need a video of the actual song for the second round of judging" she said.
"What about the first?" Sun Hi asked.
"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you. Both of you made it through the first round" she smiled.
"Why are the main contestants the last ones to know?" I asked. She chucked.
"I was too excited" she smiled.
"You seem to have a plan," Sun Hi pointed out. Hyun Jae nodded.
"You have to sing 2 songs for the performance. One of them is going to be sent for judging and selecting the performers. The other song will be sang on stage. Both songs will have different themes. We need a song that fits the theme given." she explained. We nodded with awe.
"And the themes are?" Jae Hwa asked eagerly.
"Patience woman patience," Hyun Jae said calmly.
"We will send off the easier one. I mean one of the themes is much easier to portray than the other one which is more mixed emotions." she continued to explain. We kept watching her.
"Now you gotta tell us the themes" Mi Jin said.
"Okay! The first one is 'First Love' second one is 'Obsession'" she said.
"So we are doing 'First love' I presume" Young Mi said.
"Exacty" Hyun Jae nodded.
"Any songs you have in mind?" Myungsoo asked.
"Of course" she smiled.
"We are waiting" Hoo Sook said.
"Normally 'First Love' is portrayed as something positive and really heartwarming and cute. There is always something about a persons first love that is almost magical" she explained.
"Nice way of interpreting it." Jae Hwa said.
"Stop making us wait so eagerly. Tell us your idea already!!" Mi Jin said.
"Fool by Juniel and Yonghwa" Hyun Jae smiled.
"Yonghwa oppa!!" Sun Hi squeeled. Typical Sun Hi. He is one of her celeb crushes.
"You better do good singing his part Myungsoo" Sun Hi warned. Myungsoo nodded.
"So let me explain. Mi Jin and Jae Hwa, just do what you usually do" Hyun Jae said.
"They usually just mess around" I pointed out.
"That's not nice" Mi Jin whinned.
"I mean as in clothing for the performance" she expanded.
"Consider it done" Jae Hwa smiled.
"I will help with the lyrics and stuff. We also need a team name and a poster advertising these two" Hyun Jae said.
"I can do it with Young Mi and Sun Hi" Hoo Sook suggested.
"Sure why not" Young Mi agreed to which Sun Hi nodded.
"Finally we've got it cleared." she said.
"What have you planned for the second song?" Myungsoo asked. He was eager to win that VIP ticket.
"It's hard to actually find duets. But I found one. One of my favorites too. I'm sure everyone likes that song" Hyun Jae said.
"What is it with you and suspense. Spit it out already" Jae Hwa said.
"Isn't it spill it out?" Mi Jin asked. We all thought and laughed. Jae Hwa and her sayings are as bad as ever.
"Enough laughter. The second song is 'Going crazy' by Ji Eun and Bang Yong Guk" she said.
"My ring tone" I thought out loud.
"Yes Hyunsoo your ringtone" Hoo Sook laughed.
"In a way it is a harder theme to portray. Mixed emotions?" Young Mi said.
"Yep thats why they have to show the charisma on stage for that performance. By the way thats only for the finals though which is in july so miles away. The first theme live performance is in two months while we have to send the video next week. There will be two winners. One for the first theme which will happen between a few cities around this area while the second one is for the whole country to participate in." Hyun Jae said.
"That makes more sense" Myungsoo said.
"Okay I'm actually wanting to win this thing now." I said.
"By the way the tickets are for the first winners. The second winners get an Apple macbook each" Hyun Jae pointed out.
"Two birds with one stone. Perfect I wanted a new laptop and seeing TVXQ doesn't sound bad either" I thought.
"We gotta win both then", Myungsoo smiled.
"Yep" I smiled back.
"And additional thing. I want both of you to perform on the guitar while singing 'Fool'" Hyun Jae said to which we all agreed to.
"For TVXQ" Myungsoo shouted. We all cheered with a 'yeah' while pumping our fists in the air.
"For the fun of it" Hyun Jae shouted.
"Yeaahh" we all cheered.
"For team work" Hoo Sook shouted.
"Yeaaaah" we all cheered again.
"For my new Apple macbook" I shouted.
"Yeeeaa--" everyone froze and looked at me.
"You selfish little girl" Young Mi laughed. Everyone started laughing and like this preparations started.
Let the one week countdown begin!
