A Wall In betweenHi another chapter for you guys. Since I've been stuck on the same day for 7 Chapters, I decided to fast forward her week of absence since nothing much will happen. But I hope this chapter is good as it has so much of the main story line in it which will develop in future chapters. She was a beauty. A beauty I was scared of...
My hands were still shaking as my eyes were set on the black and white keys.
"Hyunsoo... Are you okay?", Myungsoo hesitated to ask.
"I dont want to. I dont want to play", I whispered. I was still shivering in fear forcing those words out of my mouth.
"You dont have to play if you dont want to". He seemed quite uncomfortable to see me like that. He walked up to me and bent down and sat on the floor besides me. He took my hand and held them together. His hands were warm. I didnt want to admit but I dont want to let go. He helped me up and took me to my chair and helped me sit down. I was still in shock.
"What happened?", he asked. I was quiet. He then got his hand and felt my forehead.
"You dont have a temperature. Youre forehead is quiet cold.". I still didnt respond. He then pinched my cheek. I finally snapped out of it.
"Are you okay?", he asked. I nodded. "What just happened there?". I was still quiet.
"Guess you wont tell me. Dont you trust me?", he asked.
"No I do but-", I hesitated to speak.
"I'm not forcing you. But talking it out would make you feel better", he said.
"Promise me you wont tell anyone.". He nodded.
"Well I have two phobias. I got both on the same day.", I started. "When I was 12, I had an incident. I was at a piano competition. Competitors from all over the country came. During the competition I was locked inside a storage room until I was found after the competition ended. I was disqualified for not turning up but I was right there inside that little room. I tried to play the piano after that but just couldnt play. That incident gave me fear of something I used to love and treasure so much. Something that I was good at and wasnt compared to my cousins with. I cant play the piano anymore and I'm also scared of small places.", I stopped.
"You can figure out the rest yourself", I said. He sat there in silence.
"I'm really sorry", he said quietly. He was looking on the floor.
"Well its not your fault so dont apologize", I said. We sat there in silence for a while.
"Well I guess I should be going", he said. He was still down. He got up but I pulled got hold of his hand and pulled him onto his chair again.
"Well there are still some things I dont understand in physics. Do explain those to me before going.", I smiled. He cheered up.
"Sure why not", he said. His voice was still hesitant. We did some more physics questions and he explained me todays notes. After two hours he gave me the essay questions they did in class. He sat there besides me while I attempted the questions. There were four in total. It should take me around 40 minutes. I looked at the clock and started. After finishing the third question I looked up. I turned around to see if Myungsoo was still reading the books he got a while ago. He fell asleep. I tried to wake him up an shook him a few times. He wouldnt move. If I was my normal self I would have poured water over him or something. But not today. I will let him sleep for a bit. I turned to the clock it was 7:30. Mum has evening shift aswell today. She will come back at 9. I got up and put a blanket on him.
"Why am I caring for you so much you idiot?" I whispered. I giggled.
I got my pen and started writing the last essay. I finished my last essay and turned to see Myungsoo. Still asleep. I looked at him. He looks much better when he is asleep. No cold stares. No insults. It was a quiet Myungsoo who wouldnt talk back to me. I put my head on the table. My eyes were heavy and they started to shut on its own. I cant fall asleep like this. But I couldnt stay awake either...
I woke up next morning. I found myself on my bed with my blanket there. I got up and looked at my alarm clock. It was 9am. I got up and saw the blanket I put on Myungsoo there neatly folded up on the table. It had a note.
'Thank you'
I smiled. For one week I followed the same routine. I woke up, ate breakfast, did some revision, waited for Myungsoo and had him tutor me. For one week it was likr military service trying to get myself ready for the following week. My foot got better day by day. This means I can go to school next week. Well I hate school but I miss it at the same time.
