"This has been happening for the past few hours now! I'm suprised you were still asleep. Call me over when you need something", he said before going. I nodded.
I was glad to have those two living next door although they do give me a head ache most of the time. I felt my forehead. Guess I should sleep a bit more. There will be school tomorrow. I put the alarm on just in case I dont wake up in time. That has happened alot but I did somehow make it on time everytime. I then fell asleep after sorting out my books and my uniform.
"Hyunsoo?", I heared someone call my name.
"Just 5 more minutes", I answered while I was still asleep.
"Yah monkey wake up!", I heared. I woke up and looked at the clock.
"Whats your problem its still 6!", I said angrily.
"Are you feeling better", he asked avoiding my question.
I remembered yesterday and felt
my forehead.
"Yep much better!", I replied.
"Sounds like it too!", he laughed.
"Seems like you are back to your normal self too.", I laughed.
"Yes. But Monsoon caught my cold.", he said.
"Really? He should stay home today then!", I said in a worried tone.
"Yes I told him to but he isnt listening!", he replied.
"Where is he?", I asked.
"I'm right here!", Monsoon replied instead of Myungsoo.
"You should stay home today Monsoon!", I said in a worried tone.
"But I have football practice after school!", he moaned.
"Oh yeah the football tournament is coming up right?", I asked.
"Yep", he replied.
"We cant really do anything about it. It should be better for you to stay home and rest today. I'm sure you will do fine even without practice", I tried to convince him.
"But still the captain will shout at me", he said.
"Who is your captain?", I asked.
"Its that Minwa dude from our class", Myungsoo answered.
"Ohhh him! I can talk it out with him if you want to.", I offered.
Monsoon was still hesitant.
"Okay I will promise to come to the tournament with you if you stay home today", I offered.
"Okay I give up", Monsoon surrendered.
"You listen to her but not me", Myungsoo moaned.
"Thats because you are just..........you", I laughed. "Anyways just get rest today. Do you want me to stay today?", I asked.
"Nope I will be fine", Monsoon answered.
"Do call me if you have a problem.", I said.
"Yes", he agreed.
"What am I for then?", Myungsoo asked.
"Quit and go to sleep. Be ready and wait for me!", I demanded before falling asleep again.
I woke up at the sound of the alarm. I headed for the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face. I changed into my uniform and tied my hair into a ponytail and went downstairs to make breakfast for myself. As I reached the kitchen I found a plate with food covered in foil and a note beside it.
'I hope you are feeling better Hyunsoo. Have a nice day today.'
Mum really thinks of everything. I smiled at the thought. I ate and went upstairs to get my bag and heared the doorbell ring. I went downstairs knowing it was Myungsoo. I opened it.
"Ready?", he asked.
"Yep.", I nodded.
"Do you want to walk it to school?", he asked.
"Why not", I replied. We started walking.
"Thanks for yesterday", I said.
"What are you talking about?", he asked.
"Dont worry Monsoon told me everything. How your temperature was 40 degrees yet you looked after me even though my temperature was lower", I said.
"Whatever", he replied. Now that I realised I wanted to know more about the noona.
"You know that noona? She is really pretty", I started.
"You went through my stuff?", he asked.
"Yep", I nodded.
"Typical!".
"So... If you dont want to talk about it then leave it", I said.
"No its fine.", he said. I looked at him. His face was more serious.
"I hate her!", he said with so much anger.
"I'm sorry", I said. He looked at me. His face changed.
"For what?", he asked.
"Bringing her up", I replied.
"You will find out sooner or later because of your nosiness.", he said. I just giggled.
"She was pretty. Yes I agree. Maybe even too pretty. Maybe thats what gave her the guts to play with me.", his voice sounded furious.
"Just what happened?", I asked curiously.
"I remember I invited her on this dinner date. I arrived late since I went and got cash from the bank. I heared her talking on the phone.", he stopped.
"'That idiot of a pretty boy is really falling for me. One more week and I would win that bet and that money would all be mine.'", he said. I looked at him.
"Those were the exact words she said.". He stopped once again.
"That day I didnt meet up with her. I didnt know what to do. I didnt know why I cried so much. In the end I just sent her a letter telling her that I wont be meeting with her anymore.", he stopped and thought.
"I was really naive back then, huh?", he questioned himself while giving off a weak smile.
"I never knew you could bear so much hatred towards a person", I said. He nodded.
"Sometimes I do wonder what has become out of her. I mean if she has changed or not. But then again I feel like its none of my business anymore", he said.
"Its really hard to forget someone close who meant so much huh?". He nodded. "I never knew that".
"You should be happy that you didnt go through it.", he said. I nodded.
"Can I ask you something?", I asked.
"Sure", he said.
"Do you hate me?", I asked in a hesitant manner. He bursted out into laughter. I shouldnt have asked that. Its so embarrassing! Me and my big mouth.
"Just what gave you that idea?", he asked.
"Just.", I didnt know how to explain myself.
"Well I dont exactly hate you". He stopped and thought about it.
"Can I ask you another thing. That noona. Her name. Do you not get along with me because of the names", I asked again.
"Names? Oh you probably saw it. Her name is Lee Kyunsoo yours is Lee Hyunsoo. Although you have similar names, I wont just hate a person for that. You are completely different people. She is pretty, confident, older.", he stopped, "but she is egoistic, self centered and heartless. And there is you the opposite."
"You are trying to call me ugly?", I asked.
"I complimented you aswell be happy.", he replied.
"But you never mentioned any if my characteristics! And you said I'm the opposite if pretty!", I complained.
"Let me think. You are probably more energetic, mature, smarter and more caring", he stopped and thought once again.
"And cuter", I added. He laughed.
"Now that I think about it both of you were class presidents.", he said, "But I wont hate you just for something like that. I do treat you differently. But thats my own will to treat you like that.". I smiled.
"Sometimes I feel like killing you, Myungsoo", I said. His expression changed. I caught him by surprise.
"But then you turn into a different Myungsoo I dont want to kill off", I added and laughed. He laughed too.
Well too be honest I didnt get along with Myungsoo at first. I actually hated that guy. But now it seems like all that coldness was just a mask he had on to cover what he really felt. I never knew that there could have been such a little thing that could change a whole person. That could make them a completely different one. Although I havent been through what he has been through, I could still relate to him. After that, I became more independant and mature. To be honest, just like him I still have inner feelings. He has hatred, I have fear thats the only difference. Both of us are trying to hide it, no we are trying to run away from the past. Not everyone has a perfect life. Let me correct that, no one has a perfect life.
"Yah shorty quit daydreaming and talk", he demanded.
"What do you want to talk about?", I asked.
"You", he said.
"Huh? Me?", I asked.
"No not you. I mean what happened back then", he said.
"Oh you mean 'that'. I think today isnt the right day to let you know about it", I answered.
"Why?", he pouted.
"Aigoo Myungsoo ah aegyo wont work on me.", I laughed. I pointed towards a building.
"It has to wait since we arrived at school!", I replied. I soon saw Mi Jin and Hoo Sook arriving a school. I called them and waved telling them to wait.
"So see you in class then Kim Myungsoo! Dont be late otherwise you will have to do todays classroom duty yourself", I smiled and ran off. Before I did I heard him whisper something.
"Weirdo", he giggled.
