[White day Special] My Action packed White day
A Wall In betweenHii !!! I stopped at a pretty awkward part right? Guess what! Its white day today. Happy white day to people who celebrate it. Well I dont celebrate it but who cares we always have to think positively. Anyways since its white day I'm back with another loooong special chapter. Seems like I added the biggest plot twist so far. Hope you enjoy it :)
I woke up and looked at the calender. March the 14th. The writing was in red. March the 14th, March the 14th... Wait it's White day. I gasped. I went to the toilet and brushed my teeth and got into my school uniform. I brushed my hair, got my bag and went downstairs. Mum has gone work already. I sighed. Why can't I have an older sister to cook for me? I fed Eros and then I went into the kitchen and made myself some cheese toast and some tea. The weather is getting warmer now. Well its spring now right. I kept remembering yesterday. Myungsoos birthday.
"Hyunsoo Noona. I think I like you". Monsoons words kept echoing in my mind. I shivered at the thought. I remembered Myungsoos words. "Dont dare hurt my brother". I picked up my cup of tea and slowly drank it. I wasnt hungry so I left everything as it was and headed out. Its probably better to avoid those two for a while. I'll walk to school. I picked my school bag up and headed out making sure noone came out from next door. After checking a few times I decided to start walking looking back once in a while. I needed time to think. I still kept looking back once in a while to make sure the werent behind me. After I reached the turn I turned to the main road and started to slow down a bit. I put my hands in my pockets and looked up and let out a big sigh.
God why are you doing this to me?
I kept walking thinking about what I could do to avoid this situation. If I avoided them it should be fine for a while. Why do those two live right next door? I could start crying right now! I kept walking. That should be my decision to for now. I let out another sigh and looked up. Hyunsoo ah have some hope!
I arrived at school and saw Myungsoo entering the gates. He looked at me. I saw him but kept walking as if I didnt know him. I walked through the empty corridor with lowerclassman, but for some reason his foot steps were the only ones I could hear getting closer and closer to me. I kept walking and picked up my pace. I arrived in front of the class room door. I quickly reached to the door handle and opened the door and walked to my seat, looking at the floor to avoid eye contact with anyone.
"Hyunsoo ah", Hyun Jae said while patting my shoulder. I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Oh hi guys", I answered them with a forced smile.
"Where is that 'Yo guys' you normally greet us with", Mi Jin asked. I can't make this too obvious. I straightened up.
"Yo", I said with a louder and more enthuisiastic voice.
"Thats more like it", Young Mi said while smiling. I looked at my desk. I found a few packets of Sweets on there. Oh yeah its White day. I forgot. I should have brought a shopping bag with me.
"Want a shopping bag?", Jae Hwa asked giving me a shopping bag.
"Thanks.", I took the sweets and put them in there.
"You forget one every year so I brought one for you this year", she said. I laughed. After clearing the table I sat down and waited for the teacher to come. It was our English teacher Mr Kwon. We had english first. I took my book out and dropped my pen while doing so. I leaned down to pick it up when a hand took it before I could. I got up again.
"Here". It was Myungsoo. I couldnt look at him straight. He seemed to look away aswell for some reason.
"Thanks", I said and hesitated to take my pen. I tried not to make contact with him.
"I saw what happened yesterday".
"Huh?"
"I saw what happened yesterday", he repeated. "I mean in the kitchen". He couldnt look at me. I decided to look down on the table.
"I dont know what youre talking about", I said. I didnt know what else to say.
"Is that why you cant talk back to me?". I didnt know how to respond to his question.
"Is that why you cant even look straight at me today?". I still didnt know how to answer his question.
It hurts so much inside. To keep everything inside. To burden my heart with emotions like this. To be lost like this.
"Answer me. ANSWER ME DAMN IT!", he startled me.
"Myungsoo, Hyunsoo out!", our teacher shouted. I walked out followed by Myungsoo. We stood against the wall.
"I'm sorry! I dont know how to answer you", I whispered.
"Huh?"
"It hurts so much to keep so much to yourself, not being able to express those feelings. No one gives me a choice. On what I actually want do. Everyone just tells me what I have to do. What I should or shouldnt do. What can I do if everyone is trying to control me as if I'm a doll bought with money?", I asked. He couldnt respond.
"Answer me damn it! What am I supposed to do huh?".
"What do you want to do then? Do whatever you think is right.", he said.
"Even if it means hurting someone?", I was still uncertain.
"As long as you think its right. As long as you dont lie to yourself". I decided to face him and smile again. I walked into the class opening the door.
"Hyunsoo out! I didnt tell you to come in". Oops. The class started laughing. I also let out an embarrased laugh.
"Just come in already", he said. We walked in. I decided to write a letter to Monsoon in the lesson.
'To Monsoon,
I'm sorry for just running out yesterday. I'm really sorry but I can't return your feelings. To be honest I don't like anyone right now. I don't know how to write this letter. Right now I'm thinking whether I should give this letter to you or not. Honestly I don't know how to put it into words. I don't want to hurt your feelings but I don't want to return feeling which are not true either. Well I guess I'll talk to you later. Again I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings so please dont take this to heart. Thank you for understanding me.

I honestly didnt know how to write the letter. But it should be enough. Monsoon is young but he is smart enough to understand.
It was finally break time. Everyone gathered around my table to talk.
"You never give chocolates out on Valentines day. Yet you get so much for White day. So selfish", Jae Hwa said.
"What can I do?", I asked innocently.
"What do we have next?", Hyun Jae asked.
"Maths", Hoo Sook answered. I looked through my bag. I forgot my book in my locker.
"I need to get my book from the locker. I'll be back", I said.
"You are probably the only one who uses those useless things", Mi Jin said. I laughed.
"Hurry you only have 5 minutes", Hoo Sook said. I ran out, down the stairs to my locker. I opened it up and found a few letters in it. One had a pink envelope. I opened that one up first.
'To Lee Hyunsoo.
I've been looking up to you for such a long time. You are an inspiration to me and allowed me to realise my dream. I would like to say thank you to you personally and confess to you. Please meet me in the park with the lake at the flowerbed. A Secret Admirer'
I tilted my head. It's from the same person as the previous weird messages. I didn't know what to do. I was going to go to at least be grateful. I put it in my pocket and hurried back to my class. In class I sat down and our teacher soon followed after me. Maths class began as normal. I was my normal self again just like Myungsoo was his normal self. He smiled when I looked at me, and I smiled back in return. The lesson past really slowly. Don't all boring lessons do that? It was finally end of the day. Everyone left after home room and just like always, Myungsoo and I were left alone in homeroom. We did our usual chores. Since we got the hang of it, it didn't take too long.
"You done for the day?" I asked. He nodded.
"Don't you have football?" I asked.
"No. Do you want me to go football?" he asked.
"Well...", I thought.
"You don't need to answer that" he said. I laughed. We got our bags and headed home by bus. Myungsoo helped me with carrying the sweets I got.
"You eat all of this?" he asked.
"Not all at once but I try to finish it all. I don't like wasting food" I replied.
"Seems like with your annual supply you'll get diabetes," he laughed.
"You shouldn't say those things," I shouted. He laughed. We reached home and I went in. Wasn't today one of the longest days I've experienced. How can two brothers just turn my life 180 degrees? I put my hands in my pocket and found the note.
"Oh yeah I have to go right?" I asked myself. I put my bag in my room and got ready. Since it warmed up a bit I decided to wear something nice. I mean what if he turns out to be cute? Just kidding. I won't do that. But in the end I still wore something nice. A pastel green skirt, with a beige, sleeveless shirt and a black cardigan. I still had to wear a coat as it was still a bit chilly. I took the note again and read it. Park with a lake.. that's pretty far from here. Why can't I just go to the park near here? I walked to the bus stop and got the bus to the park. From my house it took 30 minutes and I had to take two buses. I got off the second bus and walked to the park in the lake. I looked for the flowerbed and spotted a boy. He was a bit taller than Minhwa and Myungsoo. Brown hair, tall, slender. He wasn't bad looking at all. I was still examining him when he spotted me and walked towards me. He bowed.
"Thank you for coming. I'm Lee Jung Hee. From the boys school around here. I'm in year 13 so two years above you." he smiled.
"No problem. I'm sorry for making you wait" I said.
"No no don't worry." he smiled.
"So you wanted to talk right?" I asked. He nodded.
"Can we take a walk while talking?" he asked.
"Sure why not?" I replied. We started to walk around.
"So?" I started.
"I just wanted to say that I like you" he started. He got out a wrapped present and a packet of sweets and handed it over. "I know it might be a bit sudden".
"Well thanks," I thanked him. "But to be honest, I don't have any plans on going out at the moment. I mean I don't have feelings for anyone right now. I don't want a fake relationship either just for the sake of it."
"I see," he said and quietened down.
"I'm really sorry" I said.
"No problem. Well I'll be going then" he said and went. His voice lost all of it's energy and became dull and plain.
"Well Bye. I'm really sorry" I shouted. He didn't turn back.
"I guess I should be heading home too now", I thought. I walked the opposite way. I thought about walking back home. I walked back and came across a really empty street. I heared footsteps behind mine. I turned back to see no one there. I kept walking, and the sound of the footsteps reappeared. This time they were louder than before. I picked up my pace. The footsteps became faster too. I turned back and saw no one there again. I kept walking with the same footsteps behind me. I stopped walking and turned around.
"Whoever is there, man up and come out," I shouted. I looked around. Jung Hee appeared from a hiding spot.
"Sunbae, did you forget something?" I asked. I looked unsure.
"I'll tell you something Hyunsoo" he said and started walking towards me really slowly. "I always got whatever I wanted." I took a step back as he came closer and closer to me.
"By always I mean always," he said. I walked backwards really slowly. I turned back to see a dead end. What should I do? He picked up his pace and I did too. Too bad I was digging my own grave by doing that. I reached a dead end and stopped walking. He came closer.
"Stay back. I'm warning you" I warned.
"I watched you for two years. You were once the captain of the female martial arts team in school right? That won't scare me. I did enough research on you. Martial arts or whatever, you are still a girl. That's your weakness," he said.
"Yaah are you a psycho?" I asked. Two years? How did he do that when he was in another school.
"Every mondays, I would come to help the basketball club in your school. I see you every mondays. To be precise, I watched you every monday's for two years. As Captain of the martial arts team, and Class President. I'll tell you know, you never failed to amaze me." he said. He got even closer now.
"Stay back. I might be a girl, but I was still in the Martial arts club before!" I said.
"You want to fight me in that outfit?" he laughed. Damn it!
"Like I said. You are a girl. That's your biggest weakness. You can be the strongest girl your school. No the whole world. But that won't change the fact that you are still a girl". He grabbed my hand.
"What do you think you are doing?" I asked.
"Like I said, I always got what I wanted," he said and pulled my arm. I tried to struggle away but it was no use.
"Let go!" I screamed.
"Do let her go before she screams again. If I hear that high pitch again, I'm sure I'll go deaf". He stopped pulling my hand and out attention turned to that familiar voice I heared. We turned to see who it was. It was Myungsoo.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Grocery shopping" he said while holding up some bags.
"This area is around 30 minutes away from our house. Why come here when there are stores 5 minutes away from our neighbourhood?" I asked.
"Seems like I got busted," he laughed, "I was walking down the corridor today and heared a few girls talking about some dude putting a letter through your locker. According to what I heard, he isn't the nicest dude around here. More like a selfish idiot according to rumours. I was really tempted to see the letter so I just took it" he said casually.
"Wait you can't just go around taking other people's properties without their permission" I nagged.
"I just borrowed it, read it and put it back" he said. I sighed.
"No difference there," I said. Jung Hee let go of my hand. I looked at my wrist and it was red from the force.
"Cut the crap already," he shouted.
"You are better looking than I imagined you know. I thought you'd be some nerd who has fallen for another nerd," Myungsoo laughed. Is he insulting me?
"You little..", Jung Hee tightened his wrist and punched Myungsoo across the face. He on the other hand took the punch and fell to the ground from the force.
"Idiot what are you doing. You are a black belt in Taek won do. Fight already!" I shouted.
"I don't want to kill him though" Myungsoo argued back.
"You are so stupid." I shouted. Jung Hee grabbed my hand with more force now.
"Enough with the games" he said and started pulling me hand. If Myungsoo won't do anything, I will. I twisted his arm to his back and pushed him to the ground.
"Impressive", he said confidently. He grabbed my wrist even tighter now and got up although I was pushing him down with all my force.
"I'm one step ahead of you. I've been planning ahead knowing you'll be able to fight back" he smirked. Myungsoo grabbed one of his hands from the back and pushed him against the wall. Due to this I was able to release my hand from him.
"If she doesn't like it, let it go dude," he said. Jung Hee seemed to push back with a lot of force but Myungsoo just used one single hand to hold him again the wall. I gulbed. Myungsoo finally let go of him and he fell to the ground, and held my wrist instead now.
"Sorry dude, I got to return a favour today, so I need to borrow her. But don't worry she will be free from tomorrow onwards so you can continue your nonsense then" Myungsoo smirked. What's with him? 'Continue your nonsense then'. Isn't he meant to save me?
"See ya! Take care" Myungsoo smiled and started walking while pulling me with him. After we reached a certain distance, he started to slow down.
"Thanks for that" I said quietly.
"Huh? I can't hear you" he said. He is so annoying.
"I said thank you", I shouted.
"You're welcome" he shouted back. We continued walking.
"You can let go of my hand now" he teased. I looked at my hand which was holding tightly onto his. I quickly took mine away.
"Jerk" I muttered.
"I heard that"
"It was meant to be heard" I said.
"Oh yeah I completely forgot" he said. He took something out of one of his shopping bags and gave it to me.
"What is this?" I asked.
"It's a White day present" he said,
"Thanks. You actually thought of me!" I smiled.
"They were leftovers from yesterday" he said. I laughed at his comment.
"Seeing that you are all dressed up, why don't we eat out today?" he offered. I looked at him suspiciously.
"It's my treat" he said.
"Then it's okay" I smiled. He glared at me.
"By the way, what's with the eating out thing all of the sudden?" I asked.
"It's my return present for the cake you gave on Valentines day", he smiled. "But don't pig out on the food since it's my treat".
"I was going to do that" I laughed. I noticed a scratch on his cheek.
"Wait stop" I called. He stopped walking. I got out a plaster and a pen and started drawing hearts on it. He never learns his lessons. I handed it to him. He looked at it.
"It's your punishment. Go on put it on" I demanded.
"At least stick it on my cheek for me. I mean you can't just tell the patient to treat themselves" he said. I smiled and put it on for him.
"There you go. It won't come off until tomorrow" I smiled. He rubbed the plaster on his cheek and smiled back. We went to a little restaurant to eat. Of course Myungsoo paid so I ate all I could. We went back home and I gave Monsoon the letter. He chuckled at my letter and said that it was fine. He didn't take it to heart. That's good to hear. But instead he said something along the lines of 'Noona I can't got out with you since there is someone who has taken you already. But even still I will still like you'. I wonder what that was all about...After our little talk I went to go and sleep. I guess miracles do occur. Problems can be solved in a day. I saw Eros sleeping peacefully besides me. I decided to stare at the ceiling.
"Staring at the ceiling?" I heared from next door.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"You are weird, that's how" he replied making me chuckle.
"Thanks again for today" I said.
"What can I do with you. Promise you won't do anything like that again." he sighed.
"Don't worry I won't" I said.
"That just makes me worry even more" he sighed again.
"Thanks for the 'left overs'. They are really good" I giggled. I emphasised the word 'left overs'.
"I'm glad you liked it" he said back.
"Why are we being so nice to eachother?" I asked.
"I got no idea. Lets just be our usual selves. Makes life better." he said to which I agreed. We started talking and before I knew it, Myungsoo stopped responding to my talking.
"Myungsoo?" I called. No response. He is probably asleep.
"Thanks again for today. I don't know what I would have done if you didn't show up today. I'm actually happy to have a friend like you. We are friends right?" I asked. No response. "I'm such an idiot. I go asking questions, knowing you are asleep. Anyways good night Myungsoo". I said and fell asleep.
