My Past
A Wall In betweenHi subbies, Non subbies and silent readers. I finally finished another chapter :) As usual please Feedback so I can improve on bits you guys might not like. Dont forget to subscribe and comment.
"Lee Hyunsoo you cant act cute! Stop trying so hard its creepy!", he said. Monsoon stood there laughing. I joined in and Myungsoo followed. They waited here with me until my mum returned. We didnt really talk much. After all Myungsoo was tired from carrying me around all day, I was tired with all the drama and Monsoon is probably in his own world. They went back after my mum came home after saying their good byes. I headed upstairs to sleep after wishing my mum good night. I sat on my bed reading over the notes Young Mi gave me. Its not too hard to learn. Its pretty straight forward and common sense. I put it aside and decided to start tomorrow. I started falling asleep. My eyes were heavy and they started to shut by themselves by force. This means good night world.
"Achoo", I got startled by the sudden noise. My eyes opened by themselves and I shot up. "Achoo", I heard it again but this time it was much louder. It came from next door. "Bless you", I replied. "Thanks". It was Myungsoo. Such a loud sneezer. Geez.
"You sneeze too loud.", I complained.
"Its all because of you", he yelled.
"Lets fight tomorrow. I want to go to sleep so dont dare waking me up!", I said before going back to sleep. "And thanks again for today. Youre not 'that' bad", I said emphasising the 'that' part. No reply. I guess he fell asleep. Maybe I should sleep aswell. I shut my eyes and fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning as looked at the clock. It was 10 am. Nothing to do. I went to the toilet and got ready, went downstairs slowly, minding my foot and made my breakfast. I remembered that Myungsoo promised me notes for this week. I ate my breakfast and headed upstairs deciding that I would spend my day in here not moving a muscle. So I took a few snacks with me. I took out a few books and started revision. A few hours past. My phone rang.
'Michin goeni, Waeguro ni~'
I picked up.
"Hello?" "Yes I know its Hoo Sook!", "Yes I finished eating", "No I'm revising." "What does he want to say" "Okay just give the phone to him" "Hello?" "Well naah, its my phone why wouldnt I be talking" "Yes just woke up why do you care?" "Dont shout at me I was tired" "I didnt tell you to carry me around!" "You just wanted to say that you were going to come back late?" "Oh yeah class room duty." "Yes I'm really sorry for leaving you" "Okay just bring the notes today" "Wait you want to tutor me?" "Okay just put down the phone and stop complaining!" "Bye!"
I took Young Mis notes and read over them with my headphones in.
I decided to revise.
*Ding dong*
I took my head phones out and tried to listen to make sure I wasnt imagining. The door bell rang again.
*Ding dong*
I walked downstairs with my crutches and opened the door.
"Teacher Myungsoo is here", I heard. I looked. It was him. He smiled. I didnt smile back and gave him an unimpressed reaction.
"At least say good morning to your teacher", he said dissappointed.
"Its past 4pm! Is this your morning?", I asked.
"Okay okay calm down!! Dont jump", he declared.
"I can handle the studying myself. I'm fine with the notes", I said. He handed me a copy of his notes and walked away.
"Hey wait what is this?", I asked. He stopped and turned around.
"Your notes.", he replied.
"Are you sure this is english?", I asked.
"Yes why", he asked.
"I cant read this", I said. There was silence.
"Okay just tutor me",I said.
"Fine", he replied. He walked in and took his shoes off.
"Have you eaten yet?", he asked. I looked at him with no reply.
"Okay just go I'll make you something", he said before heading into the kitchen. I nodded and walked upstairs slowly. Somehow even though he scolls me and insults me most of the times, I'm glad to have him living next door. 15 minutes past while I was lying on the floor staring at the celing. I heard the door.
"I brought food for the patient", I heard. I still didnt move.
"Yah get up before I spill everything over you", he demanded. I straightened up extremely slowly to get on his nerves again. I'm pretty good at it too. I ate what he gave me. It was some tomato soup with some bread and some orange juice and he made himself some coffee. I started eating minding the soup as it was still really hot. He read his notes while drinking his coffee.
"Are my notes that hard to read", he asked. I swallowed my food.
"Yes", I replied.
"Guess I would have to teach you every day then", he sighed.
"Well look on the bright side, you can cook for me that way", I smiled. He glared. I finished the soup and put it aside. That was my lunch! He started with Physics. I wanted him to teach me physics in particular. Its something I dont understand. So far I got straight A's by memorising the book and writing the exams. I mean it did work but there is no point since I dont understand what I memorised. He explained me everything one by one. Starting from particles, quarks accelarators, alpha, beta, gamma and so on. I actually understood it all. Wasnt that bad.
"I'm pretty sure this will come up in the exam!", he said while pointing at a question. I nodded in response.
"You're a pretty good teacher!", I said. He smiled.
"Wanna take a break?", he asked. I nodded. My brain just absorbed 4 months worth of Physics. He looked around the room and got himself a manga. He then looked at the piano again.
"You play piano?", he asked. I remained silent for a while.
"Yes I did. For a while. But I stopped now", I stopped.
"Why did you stop", he asked. Again I didnt know how to answer. I forced a smile out instead.
"If you feel uncomfortable you dont have to talk about it. Can you still play?", he asked.
"I think I still can", I replied. He probably wanted me to play. I got up and walked up to the piano. I pulled the blanket off and sat down.
"I'll try", I said. I looked at the keys. I lifted my hands and placed them on the keys. My body froze. My heart started beating really fast. My hand started shaking in fear. The fear of the past. That past I wanted to forget all this time. That past I've been trying
to forget all thing time. I tear came out and rolled down my cheek as I looked at the black and white keys. She was a beauty. A beauty I was scared of...
