Jerk
A Wall In between
"Cold cold cold", she screamed, clearly annoyed. Well, atleast she is up right?
" Yah! Why did you do that? I was up you know", she said.
Yeah right....
We all took turns to brush our teeth and got changed. After a while we headed towards the kitchen and opened the fridge to find hardly any food in there. I guess we used up most of it yesterday...
"Who wants to come to the stores with me? We are out of food!", I asked. Suprisingly everyone tried to look away. I guess I'll take Hyun Jae, Jae Hwa and Young Mi. All three of the sighed while the others gave a sign of relief.
"I'll go get my purse from upstairs", I said before going upstairs. I went up to my desk and got my purse.
"I overheard that you are going shopping can you get me some milk? I'll pay you back", I heard Myungsoo say from next door.
"I'm not going shopping for you. I'm not your maid so go yourself. You can come with us if you want to but thats all I can do for you", I replied.
"Fine then. I'll come down but wait for me I don't know where the stores are", he said.
"That's another good reason to leave you behind", I muttered.
"Did you say something?", he asked.
"Nothing just hurry up and get down here before we leave you", I shouted.
I went downstairs to find everyone ready with their shoes on. I put my shoes and my coat on. Good thing this winter is warmer than usual. No snow no nothing. We headed out and found Myungsoo waiting there.
"Took you some time to get ready", he said.
"Just shut up and move", I replied to his comment. We were walking through the cold which wasn't that cold. The sun was up. Unusual for January. We walked past many stores to get to my favorite. We entered.
We were walking through the store towards the food section. I stopped to bend down to get some bread. I got up and put the bread into the shopping basket Myungsoo was holding. When I turned around, Hyun Jae, Jae Hwa and Young Mi were gone. They left us behind.
We continued walking in silence.
"Hey shorty do me a huge favour", he broke the silence.
"What is it?", I asked.
"Hey turn around and face me when I'm talking to you", he said.
"Fine". I turned around to see him looking away.
"Do me a favour and don't fall for my brother.", he said quietly.
"Huh?? WHAAAT??", I covered my mouth.
"He is younger than you. It's not good", he said.
What's with him?
"Kim Myungsoo don't tell me that you think that I'm falling for Monsoon.", I exclaimed. He continued looking away and didn't say anything.
"Geez I only look at him as a little brother.", I said lowering my voice.
"Are you really sure about that?", he asked with an uncertain voice.
"Kim Myungsoo!!! I said I look at him as nothing more than as a little brother.", I answered back raising my voice again.
"Doesn't seem like it to me...", he argued back.
"Don't make me curse at you!! I told you once and I told you once again and you still don't listen to me. Who do you think I am? Why do you think of me as such a person. I hate you, you JERK!", I shouted. I was about to cry. Why doesn't he understand me? Is being nice to someone a bad thing?
"Yaah Hyunsoo ah take your couple fight outside.". I turned around. It was the manager. I saw people stare at me with worried expressions and glaring at Myungsoo.
"No no manager nim you got the wrong idea. He is just a -", I was cut off.
"Whatever it is please solve it outside Hyunsoo. I don't know about your boyfriend but I know that you are mature enough to solve this problem", he said.
More people started staring so Myungsoo decided to drag me outside leaving the basket on the floor. We reached the main entrance and walked outside.
"What was that for? Now they would have gotten the wrong idea.", I shouted.
"What are they supposed to think of us?", he asked.
"I didn't want them to think of us as a C..couple! And me crying over a guy", I said back quietly. This time I was looking away. He didn't know how to answer to that.
Just that moment Hyun Jae, Young Mi and Jae Hwa came out with the shopping done.
"Why are you two outside?", Hyun Jae asked.
"Apparently there was a young couple fighting inside the store and they got kicked out.", Jae Hwa told us.
"We were that 'couple", Myungsoo said. I looked at him.
"You got kicked out of the store Hyunsoo? You are one of the managers favorite shoppers. I seriously can't believe it. Is this the first time?", Young Mi asked. I nodded.
"I think now that we finished the shopping we should go now", Hyun Jae said.
I walked off without looking back, taking the lead. Everyone else followed behind me. I didn't know what to say. I think its better for me to be alone for a while until we get home. I spent the time thinking if I really made it seem that way. I was just being polite to him nothing else. Geez...
We arrived at the front door. Myungsoo went quietly into his house. I snapped out of it and looked at my three friends carrying the shopping.
"Oh no I should have helped you guys carry some bags. I'm really sorry", I said.
They all replied to me with their smiles. I opened the door and we went inside and dropped the shopping off. We stepped into the living room to find the rest fast asleep and found plates on the dinning table. These guys are making themselves a bit too comfortable. I walked off to the kitchen and checked if the rest of the food was gone and yes it was. I walked back to the living room.
"HOO SOOK, SUN HI, MI JIN.", I screamed.
All three of them woke up immidiatly and stood up.
"I can't find the food we left in the kitchen before we left. Have you seen it?", I asked. They all looked at eachother guiltily. I heard giggling behind me.
"Don't tell me you all ate without us.", I said. They all nodded in sync. I laughed.
As a punishment I made those three make the food. Everyone else was in front of the TV. I went into my room to put my purse away. I was about to leave.
"Hyunsoo.... I'm sorry", I stopped and turned around. "I'm sorry I got the wrong idea and also for bringing it up and making you shout in a public place. I feel really guilty thinking about it. Will you forgive me?" I heard from the other side of the wall. It was Myungsoo.
"Fine I'll forgive you", I was about to step out again when I heard his voice again.
"I'm sorry for shouting at you the yesterday aswell. I shouldn't have done it. And you can come over....", he said. I sighed. I guess I can't oppose that apology.
"Fine", I said before shutting the door and walking downstairs to join everyone downstairs in front of the TV. Hours past while laughing and crying in front of the TV. I guess this is how a Saturday should be.
"Hey don't we have exams coming up", Hyun Jae said making all the laugher stop. She was right we do have exams coming up.
"Why don't we revise today. You can stay over again today and tomorrow since your uniform is still here and we can revise together." I suggested. Everyone agreed. We sat around the dinning room and started revising and teaching eachother. After a few hours we stopped as we stumbled across a few questions which we didn't know how to solve. We would normally ask my dad but he is away. Mum isn't here either.
"I guess there is only one option left...", Min Jin said.
"Him?", Sun Hi asked. Min Jin nodded.
"You want to ask the devil?", Hoo Sook asked. Mi Jin nodded again. We all broke out into chatter.
"I guess he is our last resort.", Young me explained. We all nodded and gulbed before standing up and headed to the door. I was sent as sacrifice.
I knocked and waited. Myungsoo answered.
"Ohh Hi Myungsoo didn't expect you to open the door", I made something up.
