Two days later on that same street, Wang Ya Se and Wu Xiong were taking a walk after school.

"Wu Xiong, do you like your new hat?" Ya Se asked his girlfriend after a little bit of shopping. The two had been walking past a store when Wu Xiong had spotted a white hat with a light blue ribbon around it sitting in its window display, and instantly she began jumping up and down to buy it. Seeing how much she wanted it, Ya Se decided to buy it for her.

"Very pretty," Wu Xiong spoke using her limited and basic vocabulary, "Thank you, Ya Se." Ya Se smiled at her, feeling his heart flutter when his girlfriend's face brimmed with happiness after receiving such a simple gift. She was truly unique and he believed it deep down in his heart that it was his duty to love and protect her smile.

Wu Xiong continued to have a perpetual grin on her face as she slipped her hand into Ya Se's. Pink dusted her cheeks and Ya Se felt his face warm up - he wasn't use to physical acts of affection towards each other but he liked it. He entwined his fingers around hers and grasped her hand tightly.

The two walked together in silence, hand in hand. Words didn't need to be expressed to show how much they loved each other; just a simple quiet walk together was all that they needed. It was peaceful too; Ya Se had finally gotten rid of his bodyguards who had been following him around everywhere ever since he had lost his battle points and now he felt free. Free to do what he wanted with Wu Xiong. After reflecting for some time he realised that losing his battle steps may not have been so bad because now he had more time to spend with his brothers and more importantly: more time to spend with Wu Xiong.

Suddenly, Wu Xiong brought him out of his bubble of thoughts when she tugged on his hand. "Hm?" he turned to look down at her to see her gaze elsewhere, "What's the matter?"

Wu Xiong's gaze was set on a dark alleyway and her head was slightly tilted backwards as she sniffed the air. "Blood," she suddenly uttered, "In the alley," she finished pointing to her left towards it.
Ya Se shrugged it off, "Maybe there was a fight there last night and blood was left behind."
Ya Se decided to ignore it and continue walking but Wu Xiong stood her ground and pulled his hand back, "I smell... a body," she added, "A familiar scent. Bananas."
"Huh?" Wang Ya Se looked back at his girlfriend who peered into the alleyway, "Wu Xiong?"

[Flashback to two days earlier]

Cai Wu Xiong and her sister Cai Yun Han were headed towards Liang Zhi and Xia Ba's desks that day as they prepared to leave class. Liang Zhi looked up from her bag when she noticed Wu Xiong standing in front of her desk.
 

"Wu Xiong, do you need anything?" she asked.
Yun Han spoke up, "My sister happened to hear that it was your birthday today and wanted to buy you a gift."
Wu Xiong smiled brightly with twinkling eyes as she held out a small tube in her palms out towards Liang Zhi. "Happy... Birthday." she sounded out.
Liang Zhi returned her smile and picked up the small item: it was a small yellow and green tube of banana flavoured lip gloss.
"Oh, how cute!" Xia Ba commented.

Banana flavoured lip gloss wasn't her ideal type of lip gloss but Liang Zhi could see Wu Xiong's sincerity and innocence so decided to accept the present, "Thank you, Wu Xiong. I'm really happy to have received this."
She opened the tube and applied a fresh layer of gloss over her lips which earned a grin from Wu Xiong, "You like it!"

[End of flashback]

Wu Xiong quickly ran through the alleyway only to meet a dead end. Her eyes widened in horror. Sprawled on a pile of bin bags were two bodies with black sacks enveloping their heads. Quickly, she ran over to the bodies and unmasked their faces and alarm swept across her face as her eyes fell upon the beaten and bruised bodies of Liang Zhi and Xia Ba. "Y-Ya Se..." she stuttered, backing away into her boyfriend.

Ya Se, too, was horrified with a growing flame of anger kindling within him. Who dared to attack a member of Zhong Ji Yi Ban? Whoever it was had a death wish and would not get away with it. He wouldn't allow it.
