When they were finally back at His Excellency's estate in Hanyang, Sandara locked herself up in her room. The whole journey back and forth was an up and down ride and she was very confused to even face Kwon Jiyong and everyone.

It was like the feeling of adrenaline rushing through your veins, then losing all the energy when the adrenaline wears off.

They've only traveled together for almost a week, but then why did she feel it had been like a month? She felt drained and she didn't realize she dozed off the whole day and night.

When she woke up the next day, just as she expected, Kwon Jiyong was gone. Of course he had his own matters to take care of so she understood. Still, she was hoping somehow, he would tell her.

She sighed. Just when she thought they had closed their gap a bit with a few steps, here was Kwon Jiyong proving how unreachable he was.

Though feeling disappointed that they have seemed to have gone back to before, Sandara was a woman who hates being idle. The next day, she decided to pay the Queen a visit. Even if the Queen won't speak up or admit to her father's wrongdoings, she still wanted to see her and just have someone to talk to.

Wanting to give Seol a break, Sandara decided to take Byeol with her. She was already waiting at the front yard when Byeol arrived with Kang Daesung in tow.

"Manim... Please forgive this servant but Daegam strictly told us not to let you go out," Kang Daesung said. He heard Byeol was looking for the porters earlier so he immediately explained the matter.

But Sandara was already furious. She was not some sort of prisoner so why wasn't she allowed to go out? Of all the things, being confined and restricted was what she hated the most.

"Where is His Excellency? I need to talk to him." Sandara asked, her tone, cold and threatening.

"His Excellency will come back tonight."

"Tell me where is His Excellency right now!" Sandara raised her voice making Kang Daesung cower. Why does she sound almost like His Excellency now?

"Manim... This one has no idea," He had to lie, but deep inside he was on the verge of crying. Why does he always have to be in between these two clashing husband and wife? Why don't they just talk to each other?

"Then tell the porters to bring my palanquin here. I'm going to visit the Queen! If you do not do as I say then I will walk on my own to the palace!"

"Manim, please calm down. This one is just doing his job!" Kang Daesung bowed even lower.

Meanwhile Jo Sanggung was rendered speechless. What is wrong with their lady? And Why did His Excellency want to keep her in the estate? Did something go wrong between the two?

Wanting to ease their lady's anger, she decided to step in. She talked to Moo Yeon knowing that the boy would listen to her. She told the young man that if His Excellency questions him, she will take responsibility

"Manim..." Jo Sanggung approached Sandara, wanting to check if two were in a fight. "Daegam is also in the palace. This one shall accompany you if you want. Then later on you can go home together."

Sandara realized that was a bad idea but she really wanted to go out and get some air, and perhaps distract herself.

"No need," she said. She would rather confront him in their household than inside the palace. "I'll just visit some other time. But Jo Sanggung, can you accompany me downtown?" Sandara asked and Jo Sanggung answered with a smile, her suspicion finally confirmed.

"This one will be most willing to,"

----------------------

Since Jo Sanggung and Sandara went downtown, Moo Yeon naturally went with them. The man saw how furious their lord was that night when an imoogan suddenly attacked their lady, and even if Jo Sanggung said she would take responsibility, he knew he'd be dead meat once something unfortunate happens again.

Sandara loved sweets and pastries so Jo Sanggung took her to the best shop in the capital but as soon as they entered the premise, they saw a familiar face at the corner of the shop.

Ever so delicate and calm while having his tea, Doctor Lee Donghae was reading a book.

Sandara felt her heart lighten at the sight of him. She didn't understand but she felt comfortable and at ease around him as if they've been good friends for so long. What a pleasant surprise, she now has a good companion for tea and snacks!

"Doctor Lee!" She greeted. The doctor's kind eyes widened in surprise. He stood up and bowed at her with a warm smile.

On the side, Jo Sanggung wanted to smack her head for dragging their lady in the place. Had she known the doctor was here, of course she would take their lady somewhere else!

Doctor Lee sensed Jo Sanggung's piercing gaze so he greeted the older woman as well.

"Can we sit here with you? Jo Sanggung said this is the best pastry shop here so I wanted to try as well."

Doctor Lee nodded, his face even brightened up more. "It would be an honor. Please have a seat, Manim, Jo Sanggung,"

Jo Sanggung was about to sit down as well when Moo Yeon suddenly arrived. He whispered something to Jo Sanggung and soon the two rushed outside. Sandara wondered why for a moment but thought it didn't concern her so she just shrugged her shoulders.

Soon, Doctor Lee ordered some dragon's beard cake, walnut cookies and Hwangnam bread. Sandara briefly forgot all her concerns when she saw the sweets. She loved Hwangnam bread the most since it originated in their province. Over some tea and pastries, the two chatted as if they've never seen each other for years.

But then just as she was chewing on her food, she remembered the frightening nightmare she had. She could be foolish sometimes in front of Kwon Jiyong, but she's not someone who easily forgets. Lowering the piece of dragon-beared cake, she asked the doctor. "Doctor Lee... Can bruises and wounds disappear in an instant? Or like... Overnight?"

The doctor's gentle eyes narrowed as if deeply pondering. "There were good and costly medicines i
