That night, Kwon Jiyong had to order Moo Yeon to find a nearby inn because it had been raining the whole afternoon and it was dangerous to keep on traveling by carriage. Fortunately, they arrived safely in Andong county and Moo Yeon was able to find a place for them to stay at in the mean time.

When the carriage stopped in front of the inn by Nakdong river, Sandara was about to go out when Kwon Jiyong stopped her. He took off his outer robe and used it to cover her head before rushing out of the carriage, soaking himself under the rain. When Sandara emerged from the carriage, Kwon Jiyong grasped her waist and lifted her off to the ground before guiding her into the inn.

The inn that Moo Yeon made reservations at wasn't really the best in town. The man had worked for Kwon Jiyong to know that his master wouldn't settle for anything average, but the problem was they needed an immediate shelter at the moment. Since his master is a royalty, but he didn't dare disclose their identities and used a different name, reserving the entire place for his master's privacy.

After going into their respective rooms, Sandara soaked herself in a warm bath. She's been worn out from too much traveling and the rain made it all worse. She stayed longer in the tub than the usual, but while she was about to doze off, Seol came in knocking with an announcement.

"Manim, Daegam wants you in his room,"

Sandara's eyes flew open. Why does Seol's words brought goosebumps on her skin? 

Soon, last night's events came playing in her mind like a rewind that made her blush furiously. Her heart started to ram in her chest wildly.

What if that iceberg devours her again??? What if this time, he'll eat her whole???

What if this time, Jo Sanggung's imagination would finally happen???

Sandara had to cover for she almost shrieked at the thought of it.

"Manim?" Seol asked again and she could only stand up from the tub and wrap herself in her undergarment, pulling Seol inside and locking the bathroom door.

"Shhh...." She lifted her finger against her lips. "Seol-ah... Tell Daegam... Tell Daegam I'm already asleep!"

"Huh? But—" Seol looked at her with a confused expression.

"Just.... Don't ask anymore! Just tell him I'm already asleep, alright?"

And so, Seol could only do as what her lady says. 

A few moments later, when Sandara was already drying her hair in her room, she heard some footsteps just outside her door. Throwing away the cloth she was holding, she jumped onto the bed and shut her eyes tight.

She knew it was Kwon Jiyong. He smelled fresh from the bath, so clean and masculine, that a small part of her regretted avoiding him.

She wanted to whack her head and put some sense into it. This is what you get after getting tainted by Jo Sanggung's dirty thoughts!

Soon she felt him sit by her side and tap her shoulder. He was trying to wake her up but she didn't budge, too afraid to face him after lying to him. What if he finds out she's just playing pretend? Oh, heaven forbid what kind of lesson he might teach her again!

Soon she felt Kwon Jiyong's breath near her ear that made her as stiff like a statue. But before she could even pray for her dear life, she heard him speak in a grave tone, "Stupid woman. Are you going to starve yourself?"

Her eyes flew open. Was he inviting her just for dinner? She bit her inner cheeks and shyly turned around. She was really hungry but she was too nervous thinking that he might advance to her just because she gave in to him last night. When she sat up, Kwon Jiyong was had his arms crossed over his chest, standing before her with an impatient look.

"Come with me,"

Kwon Jiyong ordered a feast for dinner and Sandara was someone who has a huge appetite despite her small form. While Kwon Jiyong almost didn't pick his chopsticks up, Sandara couldn't even put hers down.

After finishing her meal, she thanked Kwon Jiyong and went back to her room. She suspected the man was tired, because he was mostly silent the entire time.

Still, she was very thankful for this journey. Kwon Jiyong might be an unpredictable man, alright, but she liked the new sides of him he was slowly revealing. Things like when he saved her from humiliation, when he acted like a good husband to her in front of her parents, when he made sure she ate properly, when he bullies her with sweetness... Damn. 

She went back again to the images of her on top of him inside the carriage, the two of them riding the horse together, his fervent kiss, and the way he stopped the carriage and went uphill just to pick her some flowers. 

Flowers?

Sandara bolted up from bed at the thought.

Her precious daffodils!!!

Sandara rushed downstairs to find Seol but she really didn't know which room the servants occupied. Not wanting to waste time, she rushed to the backyard where their carriage was. Thankfully, it was parked under a roofed space connected to the building so she didn't really have to soak herself in the rain again.

Once inside, she searched for the daffodils but since it was too dark, it took her a while. She found the flowers scattered on the floor, near her couch so she picked it up one by one, mumbling in regret on why she forgot to take it with her earlier. When she finally picked up the last stem, she smiled in relief.
