Jongin’s POV

“Miso! I can’t find my shirt! Have you seen it?” I shouted. I was fumbling around in her room, in search of my shirt. This I had done for the last hour – it felt like that. Mi Song walked in and looked around.

“Maybe it’s under the bed?” she suggested. I got down on my knees and checked under the bed. I saw something white.

“Oh, here it is!” I exclaimed, pulling out my shirt. Mi Song giggled, I joined her in laughter. “We can’t go to bed without organising everything before. Your mother will kill me if I’ve made a mess out of her little girl.” Mi Song stuck out her tongue.

“It’s funnier being like this. Besides, it’s not my fault they had to go out of the country! I’m allowed to become a mess when they aren’t here. I’ll go back to being boring as soon as they step in through the door,” Mi Song said. I chuckled, shaking my head.

“You were never boring, love.” I put on my shirt and went to hug her tightly, adding a kiss on her cheek while I had the possibility. After the wedding, I had spent most of my time with Mi Song, unless my father urgently needed me. That included sleeping at her house, which was much easier than sleeping in my house since her parents weren’t home. They had gone away on a business meeting and wouldn’t be home until the end of July. We would have so much time together, and that made me very happy.

“Oh, by the way. I thought we could try to call Mirae today. I haven’t heard from her since they went away, and I’m a little worried,” Mi Song said.

I nodded. “Yeah. I’m a bit worried too. I’ve left her a couple of texts but she hasn’t replied. We better call her to make sure everything’s okay.” Mi Song and I went out in the living room where the family had their home telephone. I grabbed it and took up my phone; I had the number to their house thanks to Mrs Lu. I typed down the number and pressed ‘call’. But just then, there was a ring on the door. I looked over to it, then at Mi Song. “Are your parents home?” I asked. Mi Song shook her head.

“They aren’t supposed to be home yet...They said July to me.” She jogged up to the door. In the meantime someone had answered on the phone.

“Hello?” I said. “Mirae?”

“What? No,” a male voice answered. I stiffened. That had not been Luhan’s voice, so who was it? I cleared my throat.

“Hello? Is this the Lu’s residence?” I asked.

“Residence?! Ha! Wow, you’re talking fancy, aren’t you? Kai wasn’t it?” the voice almost shouted in my ear. I knew that voice. It was one of Luhan’s friends.

“What the hell are you doing there?! Where’s Mirae and where’s Luhan?!” I yelled. I could only imagine what kind of things they were doing in that house and I prayed to God that Mirae wasn’t there to witness any of it.

“Dude, chill! We’ve just had some fun. Must say that your little sister looks damn fine in bikini...” I let out a small growl, ready to scream at whichever one of them I talked to.

“Oppa!” I swung around on my feet. In an instant, I hung up the phone and instead rushed to Mirae. She hugged me tightly. “I’ve missed you so much!” she exclaimed.

“Angel, I’ve missed you too! What are you doing here? I called and I think it was one of Luhan’s friends who answered. Tell me the truth; did they do anything to you? Because if they did then I’ll hunt them down and hang them on poles!” Mirae smiled at me.

“They did nothing. But I’ve got something important to tell you. About Luhan...” I cringed just hearing his name, though nodded. “Miso! You can also hear this,” Mirae called. Mi Song came and we all sat down on the couch.

“Tell us. What did he do?” I said.

“Well... I don’t know where I should start, but I guess the wedding is a good start. After the dinner, when we were talking and Mrs Lu asked us where Luhan was, I assumed that he’d gone out smoking with Kris and Tao or something like that. So, I went looking for him with her. Then we split up and I went out and found Kris and Tao smoking, without Luhan. So, I walked in again, thinking he’d gone up since it was soon time for our speeches. And then I finally found him, in the corridor next to the elevators. He was crying...” I raised both eyebrows, and Mi Song did too.

“What?” she questioned, thinking she must have heard it wrong, just like me.
