Author’s POV

Jongin watched Luhan kiss Mirae’s temple and whispering something in her ear. He didn’t know what to feel, though. The confusion and mixed emotions in his head, made Jongin unable to think straight. His human instincts told him to flee or fight and fighting Luhan here was not a good idea. This meant the only thing Jongin could do was grab Mi Song’s hand and flee the scene. His aggravation over his sister’s decision to make a deal with his archenemy didn’t help make Jongin’s mood any better. “Oppa, where are we going?” Mi Song asked as they’d reached his car. Jongin opened the door for her without replying and shut it for her when she’d sat down. He went to his side, got in and started the engine.

“I need to calm down. And I need you with me in case I lash out,” he explained to Mi Song while driving off. Mi Song looked at him for a moment then turned her face forward, not asking another question. She secretly smiled when Jongin drove up on the driveway of their glorious house. They stepped out and Jongin took her hand again, walking inside the big house. For once, it stood empty. Not even the maids were there. Jongin let go of her hand and dropped his coat on a chair then continued inside the kitchen. Mi Song followed his lead and went after him. Jongin opened the refrigerator, staring at it with a blank expression.

“Oppa?” Mi Song carefully called. She didn’t want to be bothersome to him, although could she really ignore her boyfriend’s obvious anxiousness? Jongin closed the door but stayed in the same bent over position. “Oppa, are you all right?” Mi Song tried making contact with little result.

“How can she be so stupid that she makes a ing deal with him?” Jongin mumbled. Mi Song’s heart dropped a little. She wasn’t really surprised that Jongin’s mind had gone to his sister, yet the jealousy stirred in her.

“Oppa, it won’t help her that you worry about her. If you care then you’ll have to ask her when she gets home. That’s what you can do now. I’m worried too, but I don’t think this will help either parties.” She took a deep breath and went up to him. Upon hugging him, Mi Song could feel every muscle in Jongin’s entire body relaxing. He straightened his back and let her hug him in peace.

“Thanks, Mi Song. You really do know exactly what I need,” Jongin murmured near her ear. They broke apart and smiled at each other.

“You’re welcome, oppa. It’s my job as your girlfriend to protect your smile!” she said happily. Jongin nodded while caressing her cheek.

“Indeed it is.” He made a grimace suddenly. “Are you hungry? Because I’m starving. What about we just hang around here today, alone and free from all the drama, would you like that?” he asked. Mi Song’s smile broadened up to her ears.

“I’d love that, oppa! What do you want to eat?”

Jongin made a thinking pose then snapped his fingers. “I know. We order something. Like... Oh! Some fried chicken, chocolate milkshakes and... uh...”

“Muffins?” Mi Song suggested. Jongin jumped up in the air like a little child while clapping his hands.

“Great idea, darling! God, I love it when you fill out the blanks in my head!” he exclaimed then slid over the kitchen island to the other side to grab the phone. Mi Song clapped her hands excitedly. She’d never known that Jongin was that athletic, although she did know he had muscles. She discreetly slapped her own head to rid herself of more dirty thoughts and leaned on the kitchen island, watching Jongin order the food. Not that it was particularly interesting; she just loved looking at him. “Aha, yes. Thank you!” Jongin said and hung up the phone. He leaned down on the other side of the island so that they were facing each other. “They’ll be here in ten minutes, which means we have ten minutes to pick a movie we want to watch while eating.”

“Better go pick it now then,” Mi Song said. They walked to Jongin’s big room and to the shelf with movies he had. Like most guys, Jongin loved action movies. But he hated horror movies and romantic movies weren’t really his forte either. “Hm... How about that one?” Mi Song pointed on a typical action based movie with Tom Cruise as the main character. Jongin tilted his head, wrinkling his nose.

“You know what? We’re in the wrong room.” He grabbed Mi Song’s hand and dragged her along into Mirae’s room instead. She did, too, have a shelf with movies, but less action filled her shelf. Soon Mi Song had picked out a comedy that both was romantic and funny: The Proposal. A chic-flick  yes, but definitely not something Jongin would fall asleep to. They went out in the living room again and set up the couch with cushions of all sizes and a big blanket to wrap around themselves. Just when they’d finished the doorbell rang and Mi Song ran to open.

“Hello!” she greeted cheerfully. She paid the delivery girl and took the food with her into the living room where Jongin
