Saturday.

The big day. The day when the resort finally opened to the public.

Everyone appeared busy. I appeared busy. I didn't really have any participation in the opening ceremony, except to show up and behave. The only ones who had big roles in the ceremony were the oldies, namely: Xiumin, Luha, Kris, Suho, Lay and Baekhyun.

The opening ceremony was scheduled to start at three in the afternoon.

Xiumin oppa had woken up early and ate his breakfast early. He had taken his bath right after eating breakfast. He was assigned to attend to Mr. Soo Kui and his staff for the day. I was just dragging my feet down to the dining hall when I met him on the way to Mr. Soo Kui's villa. He wore casual clothes this morning. Well, no one was expected to wear formal clothes in a beach resort, unless it was a formal occasion. He wore a plain white shirt with rolled up sleeves, khaki shorts and his favorite Sperry top sider shoes. He looked dapper. He grinned at me as he ruffled my hair. I just grinned at him, not minding my hair being unkempt. I proceeded to the dining room. Most of the boys were already there.

Tao and Kai were seated beside each other and were looking at Kyungie mischievously. As you all probably know by now, Kyungie loved to have fruits for his breakfast. His meal wouldn't be complete if there was no fruit slices on the table every morning. He had personally asked the cook to please get him a bowl of sliced tropical fruits, and the two boys eyed his bowl and stealthily stole some of the sliced pineapples. Kyungie was busy with his table napkin that he didn't see the two got more than necessary.

Papa wasn't at the table.

So, that's why the brats were able to execute their bully plans again.

I shook my head and sat down on one of the empty chairs. I stretched my arms together, forward. Luhan saw me and immediately nodded once, as if to say, "Xiao Yi, put your arms down." I slowly put my hands on either side of me and smiled sweetly at him. He frowned. I bit my lower lip and focused on the food in front of me.

Yep. I had to behave today. There will be different kinds of people who will be here, attending the opening. Tomorrow, it would be a different story. I would probably be allowed to relax and let loose. It was Tao and Baek gege's joint birthday celebration, and it wasn't a formal occasion.

Kris: Hey. Listen all of you. I'm in charge of the rest of you today. Anyone found to be misbehaving will be fed to the sharks.

Tao: There are no sharks here.

Kris: Who said?

Tao: I searched online.

Chen: That's probably the first thing you checked, right? Coward.

Tao: I'm not a coward.

Chen: Prove it. Go and swim to the middle of the sea and stay there for ten minutes.

Tao: I'll do it on one condition.

Chen: What is that?

Tao: You come with me. Deal?

Chen: Uhm...

Tao: No deal? Coward.

Chen: Hey! I didn't say I wasn't going to. Okay, okay. I'll deal.

Tao: How much?

Kris: Shut up.

Tao: I'm not noisy.

Kris: One more word, Zitao, and I'm going to throw you in the middle of the sea.

Luhan: Kai. What's that?

Kai: Huh? I didn't say anything.

Luhan: I heard you say something.

Kai: Nah-uh...

Luhan: Might as well include Kai as shark bait, Kris.

Kris: On my list.

Kai: Heyyyyyyyyy!

Kyungie didn't make any noise. He found out his fruit bowl was half-full and he saw Tao biting through two slices of pineapple at the same time. He was careful not to say anything that would merit him a "detention" with Tao and Kai.

I zipped my mouth as well. I heard footsteps behind me. Thinking it was papa, I lowered my head down and chewed my food slowly. I was a girl. I was supposed to eat slowly and not like someone who hadn't eaten in a month.

Chanyeol: Good morning yeoreobun!

It was just Mr. Happiness Delight. I grinned and started to chew a little faster. Chanyeol didn't sit down right away. He went to the nearest window and opened it really wide. He inhaled the morning scent of the sea breeze. He grinned and faced us all at the table.

Chanyeol: How are you everyone? I hope you all would have a wonderful Saturday. Let us all be in our best behavior today. Our family's reputation is at stake. Thank you all for listening.

Kris' face looked like he had diarrhea. Luhan looked like he was having a seizure. Suho just sat there, fixed. I turned to my other side. Tao and Kai snorted. Kyungie scratched his head as he stared at Chanyeol. Chen leaned back and raised an eyebrow, genuinely surprised at what Yo oppa had just said.

I, myself, was suprised. He sounded much like papa when he said that.

Baek and Sehun were still vying for the "Best in Bathroom Time" award, so they weren't at the breakfast table yet. Chanyeol just grinned at all of us and he went to sit down to eat his breakfast. Chen kicked him from under the table.

Chen: What was that?

Chanyeol: Huh?

Chen: Making a speech like papa?

Chanyeol: Just a morale booster for everyone. Pep talk, you know.

Kris: Disgusting.

Luhan: Aye.

Chanyeol: You always do these things, too.

Luhan: Not with a big grin on your face. It doesn't suit you.

Kris: Anyway, we don't wanna hear any pep talk today. It's useless.

Chanyeol: Waeyo?

Kris: We're not going to actually be at the opening ceremony. No need to act all cool and stuff.

Tao: What do you mean?

Kris: Papa gave me the authority to do whatever I wanna do with you, brats.

Kai: Look who's talking, brat.

Kris: Zhong-ren.

Kai: I didn't say anything.

Kris: You're not going to leave this building the whole day.

Kai: Whaaaaattt?

Luhan: I'm done with breakfast. See you later, Kris.

Suho: Me too. I'm done.

It was clear that the two were avoiding getting involved. Kris was definitely in-charge of us today. Suho and Luhan walked away from the breakfast table.

Baek and Sehun appeared in the dining room doorway.

Luhan: Baixian, I'll need you outside, by the pool, after you eat breakfast.

Baek: Huh? Did I do something wrong?

Luhan: Have you?

Baek: Why? Baixian?

Luhan: Because Baixian is supposed to have an assignment for later.

Baek: I get it.

Luhan: What?

Baek: Nothing.

Sehun: Am I Shi Xun too?

Luhan: What?

Sehun: Oh. Cool. I'm free to do what I wanna do.

Suho: Go eat your breakfast.

Sehun: You know what? You're imbibing Lu ge's spirit.

And he acted as if he was exorcising Suho. I snorted into my food as I watched. I almost choked. Chen and Chanyeol burst out laughing, spitting some orange juice on the table.

Kyungie looked away, and snorted as well. I knew he couldn't help it. He was giggling as he faced the wall.

Tao had automatically pulled out his phone and recorded the whole thing.

Luhan hung his head back and grunted. Then he walked away. Suho raised both arms as if to strangle Sehun, but the younger was quick. Sehun laughed a sort of evil laugh as he made his way to the breakfast table. And because of that, Suho grabbed Baek's arm and pinched it too hard. Baek screamed.

"What is going on in here???"

And mama appeared behind Suho.

The rest of the villa staff heard Baek's scream and rushed to see what was going on, as well. Even some of the guests on the nearby villas heard it.

Papa didn't hear it, but someone told him.

And because of that, Baek and Suho were tasked to do the dishes and remain there for the rest of the day. Dishwashers for the rest of Saturday. Chanyeol snickered. But when papa appointed him and Chen to take over Baek and Suho's roles for the day, he suddenly looked serious and kept nodding at everything papa was saying.

Sehun was not an exception to the punishment.

He was confined to the villa for the whole day, as well.

Kris just shrugged when Sehun looked at him for a way out.

So, with the recent "events," Kris would only have me, Kyungie, Tao and Kai. It felt boring because we were incomplete.

Papa went back to where he was, and asked Chanyeol and Chen to come with him. Probably going to give additional instructions about their roles. Mama had gone to '' Suho and Baek to the kitchens...for their dishwasher roles. Hehehe.

Sehun: Gege, can we all just stay inside?

Kris: No way.

Sehun: Please? It's gonna be boring if I stay inside and no one with me.

Kris: Who told you to exorcise Suho?

Sehun: He looked possessed.

Kai: By Lu ge's spirit. Hahahaha.

Kyungie: Shut it.

Kai: Waeyo?

Kyungie: Do you wanna spend your day imprisoned here?

Kai: Andwae!

Kyungie: Then, shut your mouth.

Me: It's gonna be fun to be out in the sun.

Sehun: Don't say anything about the sun, Xiao Yi.

Me: I'm just stating the obvious.

Sehun: Please...

Me: At least you won't be washing dishes for the rest of the day.

Sehun: Oh yeah. Right. There's something to look forward to, hahaha.

Kris: Hey.

Sehun: What?

Kris: Don't just 'what' me. I'm your gege.

Sehun: Duibuqi-ah.

Kris: Yeah, sure.

Kai whispered something to Sehun and the two of them grinned mischievously. Tao was silent the whole time. Then he suddenly grinned and snorted.

Tao: Aheeeeeyyyy.

Kris: What is that Zitao?

Tao: My Youtube channel got more followers and my recent upload has 300 or so likes already. So far, no dislike yet.

Kris: And mind telling us what's the big deal?

Tao: Just check it out for yourself.

Kris: I'm busy.

And he went to sit on the couch. We had gathered in the receiving area of the villa. There were staff in the lobby, talking amongst each other. The head staff was giving some last minute instructions. I sat beside Kris and watched the goings on. The other boys sat down on the other couch, as well. There was not really anything we should be doing, except watch and wait.

Luhan was one of those who were giving out instructions. He looked every bit the manager and the staff listened to him and nodded as he spoke.

The door of the main villa opened, and my eyes automatically swept over in that direction. Xiumin oppa, Mr. Soo Kui and his staff came inside. Probably going to have breakfast in the main villa's restobar. Xiumin looked like he was one of Mr. Soo Kui's staff. He was talking with the other men. I saw Mr. Min and his wife. She looked like she was about to give birth, but she wasn't due until about another month or two. I craned my neck to see if Taehyung and his brothers were with them, but didn't see them. I made a face.

I kept my eyes on the door.

There were guests who arrived and Luhan was there to welcome them, and ushered them to check-in and get their room assignments.

I reclined on the couch and closed my eyes. Kris was already half asleep. No one bothered to wake him up, especially Sehun. He didn't want Kris ge to change his mind and lead us outside. Sehun didn't wanna be left alone in the villa.

The other boys went on doing whatever they found amusing. Kai and Tao chose that moment to do a pantomime kungfu battle in front of the arriving guests. Sehun acted as referee. Kyungie pulled out his tablet from his hoodie and started playing. I took out my earphones and plugged it on my phone. I wanted to drown out the noise from the receiving area, so I turned the music a little louder than usual and plugged in my earphones.

Three or four songs later, I felt a finger poke my left cheek. I had my eyes closed, so I didn't see who it was at first. I opened my eyes and didn't see anyone, except my brothers who were still doing stupid things...except Kyungie and Kris, who were not part of the stupid games.

I turned my head around to see who it was.

No one there.

I sighed and faced front again.

"Hi."

Taehyung's face swam into view. I wasn't expecting to see anything or anyone.

Me: KIM TAEHYUNG!

I slapped his arm repeatedly. I was startled. He laughed at me and pinched my nose. I slapped his hand away.

Me: Don't. Do. That. Again.

Taehyung: Mianhae. You looked sleepy there.

Me: I was just listening to music.

Taehyung: I guess it was too loud, you didn't hear me.

Me: Yeah. I turned the volume loud to drown out the noise in here.

Taehyung: Oh. Had your breakfast yet?

Me: Yup, done.

Taehyung: We had our breakfast in our villa. This place is "swell".

Me: Wow. That's an english term.

Taehyung: Been reading a lot.

Me: Cool.

He sat down on the armchair near me. I saw Yoongi and Namjoon talking to a staff at the concierge area.

The double front doors of the villa opened again. More guests came in. And the Kims. My heart raced as I saw the familiar figure walking behind his Jin hyung.

I felt my cheeks flushed. Taehyung looked at me and he grinned. He tapped my hand.

Taehyung: You're blushing.

Me: I...what?

Taehyung: You look better if you're all pink like that.

Me: What are you talking about?

Taehyung: Hahaha. You're blushing because Jungkook just made an appearance.

Me: Aish. Andwae!

Taehyung: Can't fool me.

I let my peripheral view watch Jungkook as he walked with his family to the concierge. Jimin stopped in his tracks when he saw us, and he excused himself from his folks and walked over. Of course, Jungkook followed him.

Taehyung: Here comes the groom...here comes the groom.

Me: Shut up...

Taehyung: My lips are sealed.

And he zipped his mouth shut.

Jimin: Yo! It's the big day. We're finally gonna be able to go on that rubber boat ride later.

Tao: Yup. I'm excited for that.

Jimin: Do you know what time they're going to open the boat rides?

Tao: I'm not sure, but if the ceremony is done on time, everything's operational right after it.

Jimin: Cool. I have prepared my stuff for this.

Tao: I had a deal with Chen hyung, but he's indisposed, so mind if you take on the bet?

Jimin: What bet?

Tao: They said there are no sharks here. So, he dared me to swim to the middle of the sea and stay there for ten minutes.

Jimin: Are you serious? Middle of the sea?

Tao: Yeah. Well, not really middle as in the real middle, but somewhere farther than the shore.

Jungkook: And the boat ride?

Tao: Oh, we'll ride the boats going there, then swim farther.

Kris: I heard that.

Tao: Yes, you did.

Kris: Do you wanna stay with Sehun or do the dishes? Choose one.

Tao: I choose none of the above.

Kris: Then none of that deal.

Kris still had his eyes closed, but he was definitely listening. He had grabbed one of my hands and hooked it with his. I knewhe heard Jungkook and he wanted me to stay right where he was. Jungkook met my eyes and he nodded at me. I nodded once and he smiled.

There goes my sanity.

"Hai Lang 13" or "13 Waves Villas and Resorts" was finally open.

The guests were enjoying the refreshments. The TV, radio, magazine, newspaper reporters happily snapped away pictures of the event for their Leisure and Lifestyle columns on their respective publications or networks. The kids who were with their parents were being entertained by the in-house resort reggae band in one area of the resort grounds.

Suho and Baek were probably having the time of their lives washing the dishes in the kitchens. LOL.

Sehun was probably watching the proceedings from the porch. He wasn't allowed to set foot outside the grounds.

Kris ge had decided to bring the rest of us outside by the pool, to watch the ceremony. There was a big white canopy tent set up on the grounds in front of the main villa, and most of the adult guests were there. The pool had a fairly good view of the ceremony and we saw papa and mama, on the makeshift platform, as papa made a speech about how this started first as a dream, and made it a reality.

I was actually looking out for Jungkook in the crowd. I saw him beside his eomma, as the wine glasses were raised for a toast, after the ribbon-cutting. He had a glass in his hand and he raised it as well. But instead of wine, it was full of fruit punch. Underaged kids were not allowed to drink wine today. Especially with the party atmosphere.

I fixed my eyes on him. I sat on the edge of the bench and rested my elbows on my knees as I stared.

Kris stood up from the beach lounge chair he was reclining on, and stretched his long arms up. He yawned. He tapped Kyungie using his foot. Kyungie was enjoying the sun, reclining on the lounge chair with his sunglasses on.

Kris: Watch the others first, okay? I just need to go to the bathroom.

Kyungie: Okay.

Kris: I'll be right back.

Kyungie: Have fun.

Kris: In the bathroom?

Kyungie: Yup. Enjoy, hyung.

Kris: Watch them.

Kyungie: I am watching.

And Kris headed back to the villa. Kyungie went back to lounging and enjoying the sun. Tao and Kai were also each on a lounge chair. I was the only one who was on the bench, watching the goings on.

Beep! Beep!

It was my phone.

I took it out of my pocket and read the message. I had to reread the message three times for me to understand what was written there.

"See you soon. I think I'll see you really soon, because you'll be studying in my school, too."

Soo Taeyong. Sent. That. Cryptic. Message.

I blinked, trying to understand what he meant. I blinked again as I searched my brain for any logical answer to my question. I composed a reply to him and when I was sure that it was comprehensible, I pressed send.

Several seconds later, he replied.

"Got enrolled for the next schoolyear and guess what I found out? Your name on the exchange students' list."

WHAT?

EXCHANGE STUDENT WHAT?

"Are you serious?" I sent that question to him.

"I'm not blind, Wu Yinzi. I may have been kidnapped, but my eyes weren't gauged out or something. I can read, too."

"Okay. Thank. You. Brat."

"You still call me that."

"I will call you anything I wanna call you."

"Ouch."

"I haven't touched you."

"You touched my kokoro."

"I didn't!"

"You're too gullible."

"Don't talk to me."

"Sure. I'm texting you anyway."

"Don't reply."

"Okay."

"Shut up BRAT."

"Okay."

I turned off my phone.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

I stood up and stomped my foot on the ground. Kyungie just looked up at me and he patted my arm, the only thing he could reach of me. Then he went back to his own world. I walked away from the pool area and headed to nowhere exactly. I didn't really mind where I was going. I just wanted to walk and walk until I forget how annoyed I was with Taeyong Brat.

The other side of the grounds was filled now with acoustic guitar music. I decided to go there and enjoy. Most of the people there were kids my age and peers. The guitar-playing reminded me of my brothers when they jammed in the media room. Chanyeol and Lay would play the guitars and the rest would sing along. My feet would be automatically be bringing me over to the media room to join the music jam session. And they'd start to annoy me, then.

Grrrrrrrr.......

I stopped in my tracks and exhaled loudly.

Thinking about annoying older brothers were not helping. I needed something to keep my mind from being annoyed. I continued walking towards the opposite path, which was toward the main villa, when I collided with something tall and breathing. I meant....someone...tall...and...breathing...

Yeah. Breathing.

I stopped breathing.

Because I collided into Jungkook.

And he asked. "Am I invisible?"

All I see is you, actually....everywhere I go. But honestly, I didn't see you there right now.

"Really?"

Yep. I said it out loud.

Fainting in 5....4....3....2....1....

And I knew I fainted and he caught me before I hit the ground.

There's something I will be doing to JungYi. And no, it's not . LOL. Some of you might say NO to it, but, I just want to have this feels stay. xD  I miss having this kind of feels, so I'm going to do this in the next few...final chapters... Please don't hate me. xD  → ♥♥♥  吳愛你們！我愛你們！
