Saturday. The day we meet Ahn Sohee. Xiumin oppa's girlfriend. Papa did not elaborate on the reason why he decided to bring her to China. All we knew so far was that he had wanted the family to meet Sohee. Papa was supposed to stay in Korea for two weeks, but because of this development, his stay was cut short to three days. Mr. Soo Kui and Mr. Min was left in Korea. Mr. Kim had come back to Beijing with papa and Sohee eonni.

Saturday morning, we had breakfast at home. We were supposed to meet Sohee eonni around nine in the morning. Papa had made a reservation at a country club where we'd spend the day as a family with Sohee. When I got down for breakfast, the househelp was done preparing the food and most of the boys were already at the table. I went to sit on my chair. Because papa was home, we were seated on our respective chairs, according to birth order. If you asked me, I found it strategic because papa would start from the oldest to the youngest when it was time for him to "interrogate" us.

He always started with Luhan, asking hom how the week started and ended. He would also ask about the financial status from each of the oldies. Mama would just listen and chide in when she had something to add to what papa said or asked.

This morning, papa asked what happened while he was away and why was Sehun not feeling well. Sehun had not talked when papa and mama arrived the night before. He only went to hug mama until it was time for him to say goodnight. He had also looked pale at the breakfast table.

Luhan: I grounded him, pa.

Papa: What did he do?

Luhan: He was...uhm...associating himself with people that we were not supposed to be associated with.

Papa: Who is it?

Luhan: Just someone from another school. I've taken care of that, pa.

Papa: Haoba. Well, we can't ground him today, because we're all going to the country club to spend the day with Sohee.

Luhan: Yes, of course.

Papa: But only for today, then.

Mama: You two should go easy on the younger kids.

Papa: Should learn their lesson.

Mama: And end up rebellious?

Papa: Are you, Sehun?

Sehun: *shakes head*

Papa: Hmm...Your son is not a rebel, Youmei.

Mama: Not yet. But with the way you are giving punishments like they're in the military, will get them to rebel against you int the future.

Luhan: Ma, it's just a week.
Mama: Well, it's your rule...

Mama just waved her hand and continued to eat breakfast, but she glanced over at Sehun and nodded her head.

Papa went ahead interrogating Luhan and Kris regarding work. He had not asked Xiumin, so I guessed he already done that last night. Suho looked a bit worried when it was his turn. He actually started to tell papa about the incident the week before. The one with the creepy drivers incident. Lay had joined in the discussion, giving papa details that he remembered. Papa already knew since the three oldies had told him before. He instructed the oldies to keep a close watch on everyone and everything.

Papa also added that the people might not be dangerous, however, the situation was dangerous enough for us to be vigilant about. He had allowed the oldies to set curfews for us younger kids, especially when he was not in Beijing. Mama just nodded in agreement. She also added that she didn't want any one of us hurt or worse, missing.

After breakfast, we prepared to go to the country club. We'd be picking up Sohee at the hotel she was staying in, on the way. Papa made calls to Baek and Tao's martial arts classes and excused them for the day. They would be making up the next day for the lost time today. Other practices were also cancelled. Papa didn't really have any other schedule for today, because he was still supposed to be in Korea.

We went in three cars. The Odyssey, Sienna and Xiumin's car. Of course. Sohee was his girlfriend. He would be expected to drive his car and pick her up, right?

I got the giggles.

I was in the bathroom when I thought about Xiumin and Sohee in one car. I almost slipped on the tiled floor as I stepped out and giggled to myself.

Hahahah!

Idiot.

I was lucky I was able to grip the edge of the sink before I totally slip. I was still chuckling to myself when I stepped out the door. Chanyeol was waiting outside. He grabbed the towel on my head as I went out. My hair went down dripping wet. I tried kicking him, but he waved the towel in my face and he quickly got in the bathroom and closed the door.

I walked to my room dragging the other towel. Luhan had already taken a bath and was walking up the stairs. He saw my face frowning at Chanyeol's prank.

Luhan: What's with the frown?

Me: Nothing.

Luhan: Are you sure?

Me: Yep.

Luhan: Hmm...Alright. Go get dressed.

I nodded and went in my room.

We were going to a country club and spend the day with the family. And Sohee eonni. What do I wear? Something casual, yet presentable. I didn't really need to impress anyone, but I wanted to look my best when I meet my future sister-in-law. So, I chose a pastel yellow sleeveless sundress. I matched it with my yellow and white Chucks. I hope papa would approve. The dress was fine, but anything boyish on me and papa's all Grinch on me.

Well, it's yellow. It's girly enough.

I was sure mama wouldn't mind. It wasn't as if we were going on a formal party. But even then, I actually wanted to try wearing sneakers under my gown to a party. LOL.

I took my little denim sling bag and draped it over my shoulder. I placed my phone, extra batteries, comb, a purse concentre of my favorite Cherry Blossom mild fragrance (well, I spritzed on a bit first), plus some girlie essentials. You never know when it could come in handy.

I was ready to go.

I went downstairs and found some of the boys in the living room playing rock, paper, scissors. Baekhyun was the one leading the group. Tao and Kai was bickering, saying that the other one cheated and changed at the last second. Kyungsoo and Chen were just shaking their heads.

Kai: That's not fair.

Tao: Why not?

Kai: You changed!

Tao: Who said I can't change?

Baek: Okay, okay...you two are out.

Tao: Why?

Baek: Because you won't stop bickering.

Kai: I should still be in.

Baek: No.

Kai: I should.

Tao: No, I should.

Baek: No, you two quit it. I'll just decide, then. No more playing who wins.

Tao: But it's unfair. You'd pick yourself.

Baek: I pick Xiao Yi.

Who? Me? What?

Me: What?

Tao: Awwww...why her? She has not even joined the game.

Baek: My decision's final.

Me: What is this about?

Kyungsoo: We were playing to decide who'd ride in the car with Xiumin hyung and Sohee.

Me: Why would you do that?

Kyungsoo: Well, wouldn't you wanna get to know our nuna better?

Me: I would, but...

Chen: Xiumin hyung said that only one of us could go and ride with them.

Kai: Yep. And it should have been me.

Me: Sure.

Kai: Yes!

Baek: Uh-uh...No, you don't.

Kai: But Xiao Yi gave her spot to me!

Baek: No. She doesn't see the importance of being picked. It's an honor. OTL.

Me: I think it's best if we give the two of them privacy.

Kyungsoo: Hmmm...yeah.

Me: They haven't really spent time with each other since their first meeting, right?

Kyungsoo: You're right.

Baek: I'll just go install a camera in Xiumin hyung's car. Hehehehe.

Kai: That's a little erted, you know.

Baek: How is it erted?

At that precise moment, Kris came down the stairs, combing his hair with his fingers. He was wearing a white and black checked polo shirt over a sleeveless white tee and jeans. He chose to wear grey Vans slip ons. He looked nice. I nodded in approval as he went down the stairs.

Kris: What's erted?

He looked suspiciously at each and everyone of us downstairs. He even stole a glance at the househelp who had just entered the front door bringing a potted plant inside.

Baek: Uhm...nothing.

Kris: Are you guys talking about a video you were watching? Xiao Yi, did you watch with them?

Me: Me? What? NO!

I raised my voice in surprise. He titled his head and narrowed his eyes as he sweeped the room assessing us.

Tao: We haven't been watching , ge.

Kai: We were just talking about...putting...a camera in Xiumin hyung's car.

Kris: You and your dirty mind, Kai.

Kai: But it's BAEKHYUN hyung's idea!

Baek: Not me. Na-uh.

Kris: Eeny, meeny, miny, moe...

I walked slowly towards the front door and slipped out. Let Kris ge deal with the erts inside. LOL.

I went to sit at the table under the tree. Sehun was already there. He was playing with his phone and looking nice as well. He had on a short sleeved red polo shirt and black walking shorts. He chose to wear his light brown Tony Hawk Airwalk sneakers. Every bit the skateboard guy.

Well, most of my brothers were wearing sneakers today. The others slip ons like Kris and Luhan. The dress code for today was sporty casual. Even mama was sporty casual. She was wearing a white shirt with rolled up sleeves, short pleated skirt and slip ons. Papa was surprisingly wearing golf shorts and shirt, too.

I stfiled a giggle when I saw papa in golf duds. He brought his golf bag with him and put it in the van. The only people who were excited about the golf game were Suho, Lay and Chen. They looked pretty hyped up when they saw papa's golf clubs.

Lay: Yeahhh. Hole in one, Yixing!

Chen: No, the first hole in one would be from Zhongda.

Lay: I want to have my own golf clubs.

Suho: Me, too.

Papa: Okay, whoever wins later will get a set of golf clubs from me.

Suho: Woot! Woot!

Lay: I should start my mantra now. Didn't you know that reciting mantras can help with the actual thing?

Chen: No, really?

Lay: Yes.

Chen: I'll try that, then.

And he went quiet all of a sudden. I guess he took Lay's words seriously. I climbed in the car and sat near the window. Papa drove the Odyssey where I was. Luhan drove the Sienna. Mama went to sit beside papa in front. Sehun climbed after me and sat beside. Baek and Chanyeol went to the back. Suho went in next. Tao climbed last and closed the door. Chen, Kyungsoo, Kai, Kris and Lay went to the Sienna. And of course, Xiumin drove his own car.

We had to drop by the hotel where Sohee was staying. Xiumin and papa went to meet her at the lobby of the hotel. When they got back, I tried to get a good long look at Sohee.

She was pretty. She looked like the girl version of Xiumin, but with longer hair. She was wearing a white blouse and blue checked plaid skirt, with white sandals. She had braided her hair to the side and she had sunglasses on.

I heard the boys in the car with me, gasped and admired her.

"She's so pretty."

"Whoaaa...she looks like hyung a lot."

"Ne, nehh...but she's softer."

"Of course. She's a girl."

"Does she know how to speak Chinese?"

"How long is she staying in Beijing?"

"If she doesn't speak Chinese, I'll teach her."

"Didn't Xiu hyung say that she goes to a performing arts school?"

"Yes. She does."

"So she's bound to be like...a singer...or actress in the future, right?"

"Neh, nehh..."

"Ahh...so pretty. We have a pretty nuna."

"How old is she again?"

"Sehun, you don't ask a lady her age."

"But I wanna know how old she is."

Papa had got in the driver's seat again and signaled to Luhan and Xiumin to follow him. Sohee, of course, got in Xiumin's car. The boys at the back kept looking at Xiumin's car and waving to Sohee. Luhan was taking the rear of the convoty.

We arrived at the country club in thirty minutes. Papa parked the car and waited for us to follow him to the clubhouse reception. Papa confirmed our reservation at the concierge. He had made a reservation for two suites. We were staying until afternoon, so if anyone wanted to rest, can just go up to the suite and sleep.

Papa and the golf boys went to the golf course. Excited for the game. Sohee smiled shyly as the boys asked if she wanted to come and watch the game. Xiumin declined for her. Chen had faked a sob and went to hide behind Lay.

Papa: I think everyone needs to relax a bit, go around the club, whatever you wanna do.

Chanyeol: How about go swimming, pa?

Papa: Did you bring your swimming trunks?

Chanyeol: Nope.

Papa: I guess you can go to the shop, there's a shop inside.

Chanyeol: Pa, are you serious?

Papa: I am serious Can Lie.

Chan: Oh yeah, oh yeah... Who wants to go swimming with me?

Several hands shot up in the air, including Xiumin.

Chanyeol: Sohee nuna, does that mean you'll go swimming with us, too?

Sohee: Uhm...no, thanks. Hahah. I'll just watch?

Mama: We girls, will just be by the pool.

Tao: Ma, can I go swimming, too?

Mama: Hmm...okay.

Sehun: I'm not feeling well. Can I stay with you, ma?

Mama: Sure, qin'ai.

The oldies, namely, Luhan and Kris decided to just roam around the club. There was also a driving range and they wanted to try the ATV's. The boys who wanted to play golf went to follow papa to the golf carts. The boys who wanted to go swimming went to the shops to buy swimming trunks and caps. Towels were provided for at the suite. While mama, Sohee and me went to sit by the pool. There were tables and chairs there and an outdoor bar served refreshments.

Then I saw the Brat.

Soo Taeyong was with his mother, older sister Seul Gi and younger brother, Jeno. They were sitting at one of the tables by the outdoor bar, near the pool. Mr. Soo Kui was still in Korea, so their family spent their weekend at the club, huh?

I quickly averted my gaze to the pool, so in case the Brat looked in our direction, he won't catch me.

Mama: Why don't you go get us some fruit drinks, dear? You and Sohee go, will you?

Me: Which drink you want, ma?

Mama: Ask what they have that's served with sliced fruit.

Me: Okay.

Sohee got up from her chair and followed me. I felt awkward and happy at the same time. I was walking with my future sister-in-law. I smiled to myself.

Sohee: Uhm...do you speak Korean?

Me: Yes, a bit.

Sohee: Oh. That's nice. I don't really know how to speak Chinese, except the ones that...Xiu...your brother taught me.

Me: You don't have to be formal with me, eonni.

Sohee: Uhm...okay. I...this is awkward.

Me: I know right.

She stopped walking and I had to stop as well. We were just a few feet away from the bar, anyway. She stretched out a hand for a handshake. I took it.

Sohee: Ahn Sohee imnida.

Me: Wu Yinzi. Nice to meet you eonni.

Sohee: Xiao Yi, right?

Me: Ne, that's me.

Sohee: Xiu had told me many things about you and your brothers. I think he said that they call you Xiao Yi because you are the only girl. Right?

Me: Hmmm...Yes. It's actually the literal meaning of "little one or little person," and it can also mean little Yi.

Sohee: Oh. It's a pretty name, by the way.

Me: Thank you. Yours, too, actually.

Then we both started walking toward the bar again. The Brat saw us this time. He was sitting just a few feet away. They were having refreshments as well. I said hello to the boss' wife, Seul Gi and to Jeno. I barely said hi to the Brat. He smirked in return. Sohee just smiled at them. She didn't really know them, so she just smiled and said hi.

We placed our order at the bar and waited for the bartender to finish our drinks. There were several people who were there first, so we had to wait for a little bit.

The Brat decided to become a gentleman. For five seconds.

Taeyong: Here, have a seat.

He had offered me a seat, because there was only one empty seat at the bar, and Sohee was sitting on it already. I hesitated. And because I hesitated, the Brat pulled the chair nearer to him and placed his feet on top.

Five second gentleman.

Great.

I ignored him, then.

His eomma didn't see what he did because she suddenly had a call and was now talking on the phone, facing the other way. Seul Gi and Jeno saw though. His sister kicked him from under the table and he just brushed off his pants where his sister's shoes had dusted it. Jeno threw a flower petal at him that he plucked from the vase on the table.

The bartender gave us our drinks and we brought it to our table. When we got back, the boys who wanted to go swimming were back and had changed into swimming trunks with towels on hand. They dumped the towels onto one empty chair and went running toward the pool. Sehun had gone with them to buy their stuff, but didn't go to swim. He sat beside mama and asked why we didn't get him his drink.

Me: I didn't know you wanted one.

Mama: Just go and get yours, Shi Xun.

Sehun: Do they have bubbletea?

Me: Nope.

Sehun: Are you sure?

Me: Nope.

Sehun: Ma, I'll just go and ask if they have. I'll be right back.

Mama: Okay.

I went to stare at Taeyong who was staring back at me. Sohee was waving to the boys in the swimming pool. They were calling for her to join. Mama took out her med school book and read. The tables on this area had umbrellas over it, so there was not much sun to scorch us out here.

The boss's wife was done with her call and she said something to Seul Gi before she got up and went to the clubhouse. The three Soo sibllings were left by the pool. Seul Gi started to talk to Jeno and they laughed. Then Taeyong broke our staring contest to glare at his sister and flicked Jeno's head.

So, they were making fun of him. He was the middle child, after all. Maybe that's the reason why he was so annoying. He couldn't even get along with his sister and brother. Oh yeah, to top it all, he was raised in the UK by his grandparents. He was not really close to his siblings.

I was glad I was not raised by grandpa and gramma Wu. Otherwise, I would probably end up like the Brat. Mama's parents were back in Tianjin. We didn't get to see them often enough eversince we moved to Beijing. The last time we saw them was two Christmases ago.

Mama: Sohee dear, how do you like the family so far?

Sohee: It's fun. Having a lot of boys in the family.

Mama: You can say that again.

Sohee: I wonder how Xiao Yi copes with the...chaos?

Mama: Hahaha. Chaos indeed. Well, I'm not really sure, but somehow, the boys have managed to make her feel like she was one of them.

Me: To the point that I am becoming a boy...

Mama: Xiao Yi.

Me: Kidding, mama.

Mama: You should go out with your friends more.

Me: Luhan doesn't want me to.

Mama: I'll talk to him about that.

Sohee: Is Luhan strict?

Mama: He is. Sometimes I see his papa in him.

Sohee: I have a younger brother. But I don't prohibit him from anything that would help him deal with people his age.

Mama: The older boys in this family is a bit protective of the younger kids. Especially Xiao Yi.

Sohee: That's kinda sweet, though.

Me: Not all the time.

Sohee: It must be hard being the only girl in the family.

Me: With twelve idiots.

Mama: Your papa can be an idiot too.

Me: So, thirteen idiots?

Mama: Yes.

I giggled. Sohee giggled too. Mama just waved a hand and went into a narrative about how papa was too hard on us. Sehun came back with his bubbletea. He was actually able to convince one bartender to concoct bubbletea for him.

I had to go to the ladies room. I excused myself for a moment as I made my way to the clubhouse. When I stepped out the clubhouse, Taeyong was waiting for me by the door. Yeah, he was purposely waiting for me. He had a cupcake in one hand and he offered it to me.

Taeyong: I was told to make peace with you, so here is a cupcake.

Me: Make peace. Are we at war?

Taeyong: Offer expires in five seconds.

Me: Right. Just like a business deal...

Taeyong: Offer has expired.

And he threw the cupcake in the nearest trash bin.

Wha---?

Taeyong: I told you, offer expires five seconds. I always mean what I say.

Me: Brat!

Taeyong: Since birth.

And with that, he winked at me and walked away.

Lunch was served at the inhouse restaurant of the country club. The boys and papa who went to play golf came back noisy. They left the seventh tee for lunch. The country club had eighteen-hole golf course.

The boys from swimming had changed their clothes and were now crowding around Sohee. The pretty eonni was a bit overwhelmed by the attention. She had to drop her head at times and shyly smiled. The idiots tried to get her attention by acting *cough* cool *cough*

Sehun had the most controversial question at the lunch table.

"Have you had your first kiss?"

Xiumin had blushed and looked away. Sohee just shook her head and smiled. Chanyeol, who was beside Sehun, flicked his head, telling him it was not proper to ask a question like that. But Baek had a follow up suggestion.

"You better do now, before you go back to Korea."

Papa had to verbally scold him for being too straightforward. Mama chided in that frist kisses were not meant to be rushed. It should be perfect for both. At least in the sense that the couple don't feel forced. Luhan absentmindedly commented dreamily, "Like...it just happens. No one to tell you to do it..."

Mama chuckled and asked him if her Xiao Lu has had his first kiss already.

Papa eyed Luhan suspiciously.

Luhan denied he had a girlfriend.

Baek cuts in with, "The question was if you had a first kiss...not if you had a girlfriend?"

Sohee saves Luhan from turning red, by agreeing to what mama had said. "Your mama is right. It's supposed to be special. Not rushed." And she blushed, too.

Xiumin got slapped in the back by Kris and Lay. Teasing him to make the first kiss special.

And I had to pick that moment to daydream about Jungkook....and kissing. Of course. I blushed. And I had to fan myself. Sohee eonni noticed and softly asked if I was okay. Since the boys were continuously teasing Xiumin, I shyly whispered to Sohee. "I was just thinking of someone."

She giggled and smiled.

Sohee: Is it that guy by the bar?

Me: NO!

Sohee: Alright.

Me: Honest.

Sohee: Hmmm...Okay. Do you wanna talk about him?

Well, Jungkook was not here, so I would be able to talk about him, right?

Maybe.

"She likes Kim Jungkook."

I searched for the owner of that voice. He was smiling.

Wu Zhong Ren.

Kai.

Hi! I'm supposed to do a double update, but I'm pressed for time. I'll try to post the other chapter later tonight. I hope. Fingers crossed. Anyway, since it's September again, I won't be able to update as often as I would like. I hope you understand. 

BTW, I saw the BTS Chuseok special on Naver Line. xD LMAO. They were so noisy. And dancing to DANGER in Hanbok. So CUTE! Hahaha. Jungkook is 18 years old in Korean years now.
