Papa had returned from Thailand. He and mama were home and it was a weekend afternoon. Tao and Baekhyun were at martial arts classes and Kris just came back from driving them there and he was in his car out the front lawn...just sleeping, I guess. Chanyeol was out with his friends, probably at the nearest park playing baseball. Chen was in his room sleeping. Sehun was in the garage doing whatever to his skateboard. Kyungsoo had asked papa's permission to go to the mall with his classmates. His friends dropped by to pick him up. Kai was in the backyard with Lay. He was helping translate a Korean song to Chinese and English. They sook the help of our cousins in California through skype. I sat silently at one of the chairs in the backyard, watching them.

Xiumin and Suho were washing their cars out the front lawn. I wondered if it bothered Kris who was sleeping in his car. I had stepped out the front lawn earlier and saw him reclining in the driver's seat of his car, the door open and had his headphones on. He was snoring. Suho and Xiumin were a little bit loud while washing their cars because they were jamming to a rap song.

Luhan was nowhere to be found. He left early in the morning to go somewhere. Papa did not say where he went and mama was not bothered to say anything. The older boys just shrugged when I asked if they knew where he was. I didn't press my question, though. I just went to eat my breakfast and went on doing whatever I felt like doing.

While I sat and watched Kai and Lay, I found myself humming along to the song that they were translating. It was a nice song. I didn't know the lyrics by heart, because I just heard it that time. Our cousin from California had signed out for it was late at night there.

Chen appeared at the back door with a confused look, then he sat on an empty chair and looked as if he was trying to figure out something. Then he slapped his forehead and made a face.

Chen: I forgot we moved. I was wondering why the backyard looked different. Geez...

Me: Oh... It's already been a few weeks, but you still got disoriented?

Chen: I got lost on my way down, actually. I thought I was already on the ground floor after I went down. But I looked around and found myself in the media room. I was not thinking we moved, so when I came down here and found the door to the backyard, I was sort of relieved. But then I saw a different pool.

Kai: We'd get lost at the new house, too. Did you see the master plan?

Chen: No, did you?

Kai: Yes. I went with Kris ge and Baekhyun last Wednesday. They've actually finished the ground floor wall skeleton...or whatever it's called. It's huge.

Chen: How huge?

Kai: Like huge-huge.

Chen: Enough to run around with Kyungie chasing us?

Kai: Ah...yeah...hmmm...Kyungie would have a huge playground.

Chen: Hahahaha. I gotta see it then. Maybe next Wednesday I will go with them.

Lay: The backyard is bigger too. I saw the landscaping plan. They're gonna alter the pool a bit.

Chen: They're putting a lot of work on the new house, then?

Lay: Yes. I think because papa had asked to add an extra room where he can invite his business partners for some chitchat party of some sorts or something like that.

Kai: And we can't run around the house if they're there, right?

Lay: Well, if you wanted to run around, you still can. They'd be inside the "function room" or at least that's what Kris said it was labeled in the plan.

Me: Why would you want to run around when there are visitors?

Chen: Ahhh... mei baobei... there is no such thing as a schedule when you want to run around. Especially when Kyungie wants to chase us.

Kai: Exactly.

Me: You always bully him, that's why he gets mad and chases you around.

Chen: I don't bully him. He's just too sensitive.

Me: Bully...

Chen: Not.

Me: Are too.

Chen: Would you like to chase me around the house, baby girl? Or would you like me to chase you?

Me: Hmmppff... I better get away from you, then.

Chen: I'll count to ten. If you're not inside the door by then, I will chase you.

I ran away even before he finished saying it. I heard him and Kai laughing as I bolted for the door and went inside. Grrrrr... I guess it was bully little sister time. I made my way to the garage and stay with Sehun. Of all the 12 older brothers, he was the only one who did not bully me. He did not go asking me to do errands for him. If he needed something from me, he'd ask nicely and didn't abuse my obedience. I sat on the garage floor to watch him paint stuff on his board.

Sehun: Xiao Yi, can you please hand me that yellow coth...thanks.

Me: What's that?

Sehun: Just repainting the underside.

Me: The paint got chipped off already?

Sehun: Yup. This is the old one, though. The new one is still in perfect condition.

Me: Are you excited?

Sehun: Yes, a bit.

Me: Do you think you'll get in the championship?

Sehun: We only did practice drills last time the team met.

Me: But you think you'll get in?

Sehun: Uh...I hope so. Why a lot of questions? Here, help me instead. Hold this one...yep..that's right. Just keep it steady.

I held his board upright as he applied some sort of varnish on the sides. I put a finger to it and it didn't feel slimy though.

Me: Is this glue?

Sehun: Nope. Just a little glaze to make the sides look shiny.

Me: Ohh...can I try it?

Sehun: Okay...here...just one so it won't get messy.

I tried my hand into applying the varnish-type of substance on the sides of the board. He laughed as he saw my face in concentration. He poked my forehead with his finger.

Sehun: Your eyebrows are meeting in the middle. Hahaha.

Me: Sheesh... I won't help you if you say that.

Sehun: Sorry. Hahah. You wanna try doing some tricks?

Me: Hmmm...can I?

Sehun: Sure. I can teach you.

Xiumin had appeared at the garage door and squatted beside us. He had a face towel draped over one shoulder and rolled his t-shirt sleeves up to his shoulders.

Xiumin: Need any help? I'll need you two to transfer somewhere else. I'm gonna park my car in.

Sehun: Just a few minutes more hyung.

Xiumin: You're repainting it?

Sehun: Yep. Almost done, actually.

The two vans were parked outside the lawn with Kris and Suho's car. Papa bought a large pipe frame-supported tent and put it up to serve as shade when the sun was high up. Papa's car was in the garage along with Lay's. Luhan's car was parked there earlier, but as he was somewhere else, the garage was half empty. Xiumin would park his car inside, like he said.

Xiumin: Alright. You better hurry up. I'm going swimming later.

Sehun: Okay..okay...now go away. We don't need you.

Xiumin: Suit yourselves.

And he went away whistling. Sehun went to put the paint in the cupboards of the garage. He then picked up the brushes and went over to the side of the house to wash them off. He asked me to wait for him as he cleaned the brushes. I held the skateboard in place, just above the newspaper that Sehun had spread on the garage floor to keep it from dripping the still wet paint.

When he got back, he took the skateboard from me and laid it carefully on one of the empty stalls beside the garage cupboards. I stood up and dusted off my clothes. Sehun motioned for me to follow him and I did. He made me wait by the front door as he half ran, half walked upstairs to get his newer skateboard. When he got back, he had the board on one hand and elbow and knee pads on the other. He was also wearing a helmet loosely on his head. He told me to wear the helmet first and he helped strap the knee and elbow pads securely on me. So...I was going to do some skateboarding. I laughed and Sehun patted the helmet on my head. Xiumin had got up from sitting on the grass on the front lawn and was walking over to his car so he could park it in the garage. He saw me in full battle gear and laughed at me as well. Suho who was also lounging on the grass and throwing pebbles on Kris' car wheels, turned to look in our direction. He sat up and laughed.

Suho: Are you sure you're doing it?

Me: Yep.

Suho: You better take care. Sehun...don't let go of her.

Sehun: Relax ge. Xiao Yi's gonna be a pro skater soon. Hahaha.

Me: When you say it like that, I feel like I'm gonna crash even before I learn to balance properly.

Sehun: Balancing is easy. It's the tricks that's...uh...tricky.

Kris ge woke up from his nap and peered from the window of his car and called out.

Kris: Yo Cinderella! Where are you going with Xiao Yi?

Sehun: Just around the block, ge.

Kris: Hold on...

And he got out of his car, pocketed his iPod and straightened his shirt and cargo shorts. He walked over to where we were standing and examined the straps of the helmet and pads. I rolled my eyes and playfully pushed his hands away.

Kris: Hey. Stand still.

Me: I'm strapped in safely, ge. OTL.

Kris: You are sounding like Luhan. Stand still. Xiao Yi...

As he inspected my battle gear, Kai and Lay appeared from the side of the house. Lay was cradling his laptop in his arms and blowing a strand of hair away from his eyes. Kai was casually walking behind him with his hands in his back pockets and whistling to the tune of the song they were translating earlier.

Lay: What have we here? Mei baobei in full battle gear.

Kai: You skateboarding, Xiao Yi?

Lay: Where are you going? The lawn's not big enough for you to crash into.

Sehun: Just around the block ge.

Kai: I wanna come. Wait up. Lemme get my board.

And as if on cue, Chen opened the front door. He had preferred to pass inside the house going to the front instead of the path on the side.

Chen: Hello afternoon sunshine!

Kris: Go back inside.

Chen: I just woke up.

Kris: I don't care. Go back inside. Now.

Chen: But...but...

Kris: No buts.

Chen: Hey, why is Xiao Yi...owww...Kai...

Kai had whooshed past him, hitting him with the skateboard in the process. Kai bowed in apology. He thought Sehun and I already left the house, so he ran down the stairs with his skateboard.

Kai: Duibuqi hyung.

Chen: Ah...it's fine. Let me just slap your in return.

Kai: Hyungggg...

Chen: Come on. It's unfair to me, you know.

And Kai hesitantly turned around to let Chen slap his . Kris rolled his eyes and shoo'd Chen back inside the house. Chen grumbled but went back inside the house and turned the TV on. Lay had settled himself on the grass and was now online on his lappy. Suho sat beside him and pointed at something on the screen. Lay sat upright to read whatever Suho pointed at. Xiumin had already parked his car in the garage by this time and was now making his way back to where most of us were converged. He patted my helmet and smirked, but gave a thumbs up after.

Kris: You kids alright if I don't come with you? Just don't go far, okay?

Kai: Just around the block ge.

Sehun: Yup.

Kris: Watch out for incoming cars or whatever.

Sehun: Understood, ge.

Xiumin: You have your phone with you?

Sehun: In my pocket, hyung.

Xiumin: Okay. You three take care.

Kris: Don't go home with injuries. Take care of your sister.

Sehun/Kai: We will!

So there we were, going out the gate and ready to rock and roll with the skateboards when Luhan's car appeared in the driveway. He honked three times and we had to manually push open the gate because it didn't have a number keypad and automatic device on it. His windows were rolled down on his side and he was wearing dark-tinted shades. He carefully parked the car just outside the garage. The three of us slowly walked out the gate, hoping Luhan wouldn't mind. Kris and Xiumin were there anyway. We thought he'd let us go that easily. But as soon as he got out the car and we reached the sidewalk, he called out to us.

Luhan: Where are you going?

Sehun: Teaching Xiao Yi to skate.

Luhan: Who gave you permission to go out?

Sehun: Kris ge.

Kai: It's just around the block, Lu ge.

Luhan: No. Go back inside.

Sehun: Why?

Luhan: Because I said so.

Sehun: I'm going to ask papa...

And he ran back inside the house and went to ask permission from papa. If Kris and Xiumin said yes, and Luhan said no, it was a 50-50 chance, so Sehun had to appeal to the highest ranking official at home. And that was papa. Luhan got something from the backseat of his car and closed the door. He was carrying a thick envelope and he carefully checked the contents before he gestured for me and Kai to go back inside the gate. Once we were back in, only then did he go inside the house. Kris shook his head at us and shrugged. Xiumin shrugged as well and went to sit by Suho and Lay on the grass. After what felt like 15 minutes, Sehun came out of the house with a grin. So, papa had said yes. He also told Kris ge to go and pick up Baekhyun and Tao from their martial arts classes. Kris fished out his keys from his pocket and went to his car. He ordered Kai to open the gate wider and for us to stay away from the gate.

Kris: Yo...get away from there. I don't wanna run you over.

Kai: What a nice way to ask us... Tsk..

Me: You aren't nice today, ge.

Kris: Okay. Would you please get away from there. I don't wanna run you two - precious dears - over.

Me: Better.

I rolled my eyes and sniggered all the same, but felt a little better. Sometimes, Kris ge can be so cold. But he was warm-hearted though. He only appeared cold and speaks like a snowman. But if you get in his good graces, he was a sweet guy. No wonder Yo oppa was afraid of him before. LOL.

After Kris had left, the three of us, Kai, Sehun and I went to do some skateboarding. Sehun held my hand as I tried not to fall as I do a normal stance, pushing with my right foot. Sehun had said I was doing well and he slowly let go of my hand. Kai was doing some impossible tricks ahead of us. I almost stumbled because I was staring at him. Sehun ran forward and steadied me by holding my hand again. I laughed and stopped and sat on the sidewalk.

Sehun: Don't lose your focus.

Me: I know. I'm trying. But Kai oppa is so good. I was just amazed.

Sehun: You'll get better soon, just practice.

Me: Do you think papa will buy me a skateboard?

Sehun: Hmmm...let's ask later.

We were at the end of the block and was near the corner of the street when Kai skidded to a halt and almost stumbled into someone who was also on a skateboard. Kai had wanted to go straight not expecting someone to appear in the corner of the street for there was no sound of a car about to pass by. The other guy swerved to the right and hopped off from his skateboard so he won't fall flat on his face. Sehun picked up his skateboard and urged me along. I ran with him to check up on Kai.

Sehun: Kai. You okay?

Kai: Uhm...I guess...yeah...

He was thumping his chest. I tilted my head to see if the other skater was alright. He was now picking up his skateboard and was bent over.

"Hyung! Are you alright?"

I knew that voice. My head suddenly snapped up and slowly turn to the right. I saw him riding his skateboard with ease toward the other guy who almost collided with Kai. Then another guy appeared with his skateboard. As this other guy appeared, he saw us immediately and grinned.

Jungkook.

The Kim brothers were skateboarding just outside our block. Then I remembered that their house was just 2 blocks away from this new area. It wasn't that far from our original home. It's just that, there was a highway in the middle of the block going to our old street, so it took a few more minutes longer. Kai had almost collided with J and Jimin was the one who called out before. Jungkook stopped in front of us and smiled.

JK: Hi...

Sehun: Hey...

JK: No one got hurt?

Kai: No blood, no foul.

Jimin and J walked over to us and fist-bumped with Sehun and Kai. I guess it was a FISSkT thing, fist bumping your bro. LOL. They were surprised to see me in my full battle gear. J nodded and chuckled as soon as he realized it was me under the helmet and knee and elbow pads.

J: Looking good, Xiao Yi.

Me: I'll be the next FISSkT member, just watch out.

J: Just don't do a Hoseok and collide with team members, neh?

Me: Got it, oppa.

J: Aish...oppa is so formal. Just call me "J."

Me: Sheesh...okay...J.

JK: Xiao Yi, you're practicing?

I blushed. Jungkook asked me if I was practicing. But I hoped it didn't show. And I thought it didn't show much because of the helmet. I nodded, unable to let my voice out. He grinned and scrunched up his nose and chuckled. I almost died wanting to pinch his cheeks. But I knew it would look awkward. AND it would feel awkward if I did that.

Sehun: Xiao Yi. I'm gonna have a go around the block. Are you okay here with Jungkook?

Me: Uh...just one round?

Sehun: Yes. Just wanna show Jimin some original Shi-Xun moves, ya know.

Me: Okay. Don't let Luhan ge see you.

Sehun: Relax. We'll go round this block. You stay with Jungkook right there.

I nodded. I didn't have a choice, did I? Kai and J had already found a corner under a big tree and swapped knowledge on flips and grinds. They were a good distance from where I was standing with Jungkook. Well, as long as I see one of my brothers nearby, I was okay. Anyway, Sehun had said that he'd just go one round the block with Jimin.

And then they were off. Jungkook looked down and prodded his skateboard with his foot. He was smiling. He cleared his throat as he covered his mouth with one hand. Then he looked up and chuckled again.

JK: Would you like me to teach you?

Me: Huh?

JK: Your Sehun ge was teaching you to skate, right?

Me: Oh. Yes, he was.

And I felt a little stupid for not getting what he meant right away. I quickly glanced away and rolled my eyes. I pretended I was watching Kai, under the big tree, teaching J the hand movements he taught Chanyeol while doing the ollie.

JK: Okay. So...where'd you wanna start?

Me: Uhm... I don't really know. You're the FISSkT member here. I'm just a..trainee? Hahaha.

JK: Okay, FISSkT trainee... You covered the basics in balancing on the board?

Me: Not quite. I almost fell earlier...because I was watching Kai oppa.

JK: Ah. Don't lose your focus. Especially since you're just starting to learn.

Me: That's what Sehun ge said.

JK: He's right.

He pushed his skateboard with his foot toward me. He gestured for me to step on it with my lead-foot. I obliged and awkwardly stepped on the deck. He automatically held my hand to steady me. My heart fluttered as his fingers closed in on my hand. I tried my best not to stumble. It was awkward enough that he was holding my hand. I didn't want to it to be more awkward by falling.

I started to push with my other foor and prepared to balance with both feet on the board. Jungkook didn't let go of my hand even if I already got my balance on both feet on the board. I had wanted to tell him to let go of me, but his warm hand felt nice, so I just let it be. Yeah, okay. I was enjoying the moment. Let me spazz for a while.

JK: Here's a trick. Don't stand abruptly straight. Do a little crouch and slowly straighten your back.

Me: Okay. Yes, sir.

JK: You should call me "captain."

Me: Ah, right. Because I'm your trainee.

JK: Exactly.

And he chuckled. He still held my hand as I glided along the sidewalk slowly but surely. I knew if he let go of my hand that I wouldn't stumble or fall. I got this, Kookie. Then I smiled at him and nodded. I guess he took my cue and let go of my hand. Surprisingly, indeed...I didn't fall or stumble. I made it alive to the other end of the block. I slowed down and stopped, before I picked up the board and placed it back on the road, facing the other way. Yeah. I didn't know how to do a flip or turn or whatever it was called. I could make out Kai and J's forms under the big tree. They were both facing me. I bet they were discussing my skill in skateboarding. Jungkook was walking towards me. Because I borrowed his board. Hahaha. I didn't wait for Jungkook to reach me before I tried to do everything by myself. As I approached him, he was grinning. I tried to slow down to stop as soon as I got near him, but I didn't know how to. I was moving a little too fast for my own good. So instead of stopping. I reached out my hand in S.O.S. as I got near him and he took hold of it. He was laughing.

JK: Next lesson, how to install brakes on your board. Or remote controlled board designed for beginners. Should be a prototype.

It was official. Kim Jungkook was making fun of my skateboarding skills. But I didn't mind. I was busy admiring his smiling eyes and goofy laugh. I just nodded. I saw Sehun and Jimin appear at the end of the block moving towards us.

Me: You would have to buy it for me, then.

JK: Right. I should.

And he stopped laughing, but raised his hand and patted my helmet. I rolled my eyes. He stared at me for a second and poked my cheek.

JK: Wanna go buy something to drink?

I just felt doing a JungYi chapter. Although it's not pure JungYi, and started with the Wus, I kind of liked it. Something light and fluffy for this update. Let's just hope Lu-ge won't interrupt the happy moments. LOL. xD ♥♥♥ 吴爱你们!我爱你们!(Wu Ai Nimen! Wo Ai Nimen!)
