Papa and the three oldies were in London for five days. That meant five days of me being the da ge. Am I prepared? It's going to be soon when the three would be away for more than just five days. They'd be in London for three years. And I bet they'd only be able to go home on Christmas holidays. Anyway, I'd only be doing this for a year. Baekhyun will be doing this for more than a year. But, needless to say, even if I was only going to be doing this for a year, it still meant bigger responsibility.

And speaking of responsibility, I need to get up now. It might be a Saturday morning, but we need to start packing our stuff. When papa and the oldies return from London, we'd be moving back to our house. I didn't wanna get up, but there are a lot of stuff to be packed. I'll need to start packing the stuff I don't really use, then I'll have to help mama pack hers and papa's stuff too. It's good that I was able to call our class adviser the night before, telling her that I need a week's worth of break because of this.

It was six in the morning and I could hear Lay snoring. Since Xiumin hyung was in London, it was just the two of us in the room. Or not. Someone stirred from under the blanket on Xiumin's bed. I had to squint to see who it was. The window blinds were still down and it wasn't that bright in the room. Xiumin's bed was by the window and mine was by the door. Lay's bed was in the corner. A hand peeked out of the covers and I knew who it was, by the size of the hand.

Tao.

I didn't know why he went to sleep here. It was him and Baek in their room, because Kris was in London. This panda boy was kinda the scaredy cat of the family. Well, Baek comes in second, but he didn't come in here to sleep.

Wait. I think I spoke to soon.

I saw Baek's foot peek from the other side of the blanket. I knew his feet alright. I knew my brothers' physical attributes by heart. I had to, you know. It was a matter of instinct. When you are part of this family, you gotta know your brothers even just by seeing the tips of their toes or fingers. It wasn't that hard to differentiate Xiao Yi from the boys, though. Obviously. But sometimes, when it's just part of the arm that showed, I could mistake Xiao Yi and Sehun. They both have skinny, fair-skinned arms.

I got up from the bed and arranged it. It was out of habit that I made my bed after I woke up. After washing my face in the bathroom, I went to open the window blinds a little, just to give the room a brighter aura. Lay squirmed and placed an arm over his eyes as he grunted in his sleep. I guess the instant light that streamed in from the open window sort of distracted his dream.

I chuckled and went to Tao and Baek. I pulled off the covers and saw that they were both curled up now. Tao slapped my arm when I tried to wake him up. Baek just nodded and went back to sleep.

Tsk, tsk.

I nudged Lay by the arm and told him to wake up. We needed a headstart in packing up our stuff. He groggily opened his eyes and told me to please pull down the blinds again. I ignored it and continued to bug him to wake up. He groaned and stretched on the bed, then went back to sleep. I had wanted to kick him off the bed, just like what Luhan does most of the time when the boys were not listening, but thought the better of it. I wasn't going to be a violent da ge. I had to do something original. But what, I don't know.

I went out of the room and closed the door gently. I met Chen on the way down. He was still yawning, but he greeted me. I greeted him back and we went downstairs together. Chen went to the backyard. I just shrugged. What on earth would he be doing in the backyard at this time of day? It was a tad bit early for swimming. And it was still a bit chilly. Yeah, it was almost end of the month, but it was still considered winter. Spring woudn't be for another month or so. We were just lucky there was a few snowfalls this year, otherwise, it would have been a blizzard-holiday here.

I directly went to the pantry to get some stuff for breakfast. The househelp hasn't arrived yet. Usually, they come in at around six-thirty on weekends. I checked the clock on top of the fridge. It was ten after six in the morning.

If I was going to be the da ge of the house for five days, I'd better start it right. I wasn't much of a cook, but I didn't go around burning the kitchen, unlike Luhan. Hahaha. Anyway, I can cook a few dishes now, but I wasn't as good as Kyungsoo or Lay. However, I think my meals could pass off as average.

Yes. Don't dare criticize my cooking.

I was glad when I saw Kyungsoo walking towards the kitchen. He was looking at me wide-eyed. It was like he was surprised to see me preparing breakfast. He went to sit on one of the stools at the counter. He smiled at me and greeted a good morning. I did the same and asked what he would like for breakfast. He just smiled and got up. He disappeared in the pantry and came back with a handful of stuff and dumped it on the counter.

Kyungsoo: This...is...what's for breakfast.

Me: That's a lot.

Kyunsgoo: I'm starving, hyung. Anyway, I'm gonna help you.

Me: Geez, thanks.

Kyungsoo: Aren't we supposed to be helping each other?

Me: Wow. You're making sense.

Kyungsoo: Hyung, I always make sense.

Me: Right. By the way, I would appreciate it if you don't go anywhere today. We need to start packing up our stuff.

Kyungsoo: Don't worry. I'm not in the mood to go out anyway. And I doubt papa will be happy if he heard that I went out of the house without his permission.

Me: Good boy.

Mama went down the stairs and greeted us. She had already taken a bath and looked as if she was going somewhere. She placed her handbag on the kitchen counter and opened the fridge. She took out a carton of milk and carried it to the dining table. She then went to get a cup and poured some milk on it.

Mama: Suho dear, I need to be at the clinic. They need help down there. I might not be home til this afternoon, so...please be in charge. I'm having lunch out, as well.

Me: Okay, ma. What time will you be home this afternoon?

Mama: Not sure yet. But maybe around four or five. Depends on the situation at the clinic. Hyo-rin needs me there.

Me: Dr. Min still working?

Mama: Of course, dear. Not until she is on her last trimester that she will be taking her maternity leave.

Me: Isn't it unsafe for her to still work even if...?

Mama: No dear. It's okay. She's not exerting too much effort. That's why I need to be there to help her.

Kyungsoo: Do you know if they're having a baby girl or boy yet?

Mama: Not yet. Maybe in the next month, she'll undergo the baby gender ultrasound.

Kyungsoo: The Mins would have a new baby brother or sister.

Me: Do you want to have a baby brother or sister too?

Kyungsoo: No. I mean...we're already thirteen...so...

Mama: I doubt your papa will want to have another one. But your eomma can still have one, right?

Kyungsoo: Uhm...Hehehe. I'd rather be the only child with eomma.

Mama: Dear, when she finds her perfect partner, it's possible that you'd still have a baby brother or sister.

Me: You won't be the only kid, Kyungsoo-ya.

Kyungsoo: Aish. I won't let eomma marry anyone, then.

Mama went to sit at the dining table and finish her milk. She then told me to call her if anything happens, like an emergency. I nodded and continued with preparing breakfast. Kyungsoo had finished preparing the salad and was now grating cheese. He was going to have pancakes and I smiled. He had sliced some strawberries and I bet he was going to add them to the pancake mix. Mama told me she was going to eat breakfast at the clinic, so there was no need for us to hurry up.

Just as mama was leaving the house, papa called. He asked how we were doing. The four of them in London got settled in at the hotel after arriving. It was about one in the morning and papa said he had just woken up and decided to call us. He knew it was morning here and he, once again, reminded me to make sure that the house and the rest of the brood were well taken care of. He also reminded me that no one was allowed to go out of the house, unless it was for grocery. Only me and Lay were allowed to buy groceries, no one else were allowed to go out.

Mama told papa she was going to the clinic and asked to speak to Luhan. She spoke with the deer gege for a bit then she handed the phone to me. She bade us goodbye and went on her way. She had taken papa's car.

I spoke to papa for another few minutes, listening to his instructions and reminders. In the background, I could hear Luhan, Kris and Xiumin snoring. Yeah. Thatloud. I think they just got a hotel suite for the four of them and were on one bed. LOL. Papa must have had a probem sleeping because of the snores, that's why he woke up middle of the night.

After papa called, I pocketed my phone again. I turned to finish what I was doing. Kai then appeared at the foot of the stairs and looked around him. He looked a little lost, then he sighed. He turned to the kitchen and stood in front of the fridge. He acted as if to open it, but dropped his hand. He walked towards the dining table and pulled a chair, but didn't sit down. He then rubbed his eyes and grinned to himself. He walked towards the back door and opened it. He peeked out and laughed. He had that infectious laugh and he shouted.

"Chen hyung! What do you think you're doing?"

He unstuck his head from peeking out the door and closed it. He was chuckling when he walked back to the living room and picked up the TV remote. He turned the TV on and plopped on the couch. He flipped to every available channel before settling with a wrestling program.

Yup. Quite your average Wu Saturday morning.

The next to go down the stairs was Xiao Yi. Little sister had sat at the bottom steps and yawned. She leaned on the banister and raised a hand in greeting. Kyungsoo shot her a mischievous smile. I quickly looked at him and under my breath, told him to not even think about it. I didn't want the house to be noisy this early in the morning.

Sehun followed downstairs. He went to sit beside Xiao Yi and the two started talking about how it would be nice if we were to go to Thailand. I was reminded of our five-day trip to Thailand, checking out the resort that was now ours. It would indeed be nice if we all went there now. I bet it wouldn't be as cold there as it was here now.

Chanyeol appeared next. He went directly to the living room and sat beside Kai. But not before he annoyed Xiao Yi and Sehun on the stairs. He deliberately passed in between the two, making Xiao Yi scream and slapping his leg as he passed by.

It left the three people in my room. I don't know what to do to make them wake up. I had tried my best earlier. I whispered a little prayer for the three to finally wake up and get their butts downstairs. Lucky for me, my prayer got answered after about five minutes.

Someone broke into the Min residence. Kai had been flipping channels and got on a local news channel before he decided to flip it to another. But as he was about to press the button on the remote, there was a news flash about a robbery attempt in the Min residence. We were huddled in the living room. I decided to sit for a while before I started to pack my stuff. We were done eating breakfast except for Lay, Tao and Baek who were still at the dining. They woke up a little later than I expected and now they lingered in the dining table, taking their sweet time eating.

The news said that they caught the thief and the police already had him in custody. A car key was found inside the thief's pockets. The police's initial report was that the thief may have just gotten inside the house and found the car key first and stuffed it inside his pockets. Then when he was about to go on about his business, the youngest Min, Taehyung, woke up and screamed. It was reported that Taehyung was sleeping in the living room when the burglar came in by the back door after picking the lock. It was also reported that Yoongi, Namjoon and J had been upstairs and heard Taehyung's scream so they hurried downstairs and found the thief. The thief was beaten badly by the three and was tied up with a good amount of duct tape. Taehyung was administered first aid, since he had been knocked out after getting hit by the burglar.

Baek: Oh my god. I don't know what to say...I'm just...

Tao: It's kinda suspicious.

Baek: What?

Kai: Yeah, what?

Tao: Car keys stolen. Min residence. Didn't you remember? Yoongi hyung's car was stolen once before? Just recently at that.

Me: Shush...listen to the report.

Tao: The person behind this is one and the same, I just know it.

Chen: Why go to their house to steal his car?

Tao: That's what I'm not sure about. But I'm thinking it's more than just a robbery.

Chen: What do you mean?

Chanyeol: A kidnapping attempt?

Tao: Yeah.

Chen: Who's being kidnapped this time?

Tao: Taehyung was knocked unconscious...

Kai: Probably because the thief was startled and didn't want to be discovered?

Lay: I better call Yoongi and ask how they are.

Me: Yeah, they need people to be by their side now.

Tao: I think it would have been fun kicking the thif's .

Baek: I know right. If it was me, I'd have poked his eyes out.

Chanyeol: Harsh.

Baek: Better he went blind than me?

Chanyeol: Violent.

Chen: Guys...I think we better lock every door and window.

Me: Is the gate properly closed and locked?

Chen: I'll go and check.

Me: Chanyeol, go with Chen. Better bring something with you, just in case.

Chanyeol: Hyung, I doubt there would be someone who'd suddenly appear behind us.

Me: Chanyeol!

Chanyeol: Okay, okay. I'm gonna go and get my bat.

And he stood up, walked up the stairs and got his bat. I sighed as he grinned at me when he returned with his bat. He nodded at Chen, and the two of them went outside to check the gate.

I knew I was being paranoid, but I just wanted to make sure we were safe. I was responsible for everyone right now.

Lay was on the phone now. He was trying to call Yoongi. Baek got up from his seat and went to check tha backyard. There was a wall around the property, but that didn't mean that anyone was going to be off limits when they wanted to rob a house. I just wished there was an electric fence around the house right now.

Sehun, Kyungsoo and Xiao Yi remained in their seats. The two boys had sandwiched her on the couch out of instinct like bodyguards. The rest of us went to check around the house and upstairs.

We converged back in the living room and waited for updates on the robbery at the Mins. Lay was still talking on the phone with Yoongi. He had just gotten through the phone with him. The househelp looked a bit panicky as well when they heard the news. I had to look calm even if I wasn't.

If what Tao thought was true, then no one was safe. It's possible that the thief had some back up and was going to continue what he originally had to do.

I knew I had to call mama and tell her. But I remembered she was at the clinic with Dr. Min. The lady doctor was pregnant and it was her house that had been broken into. I didn't wanna be the cause for her miscarriage. Let her family tell her. But then again, mama was there. She was also going to be a doctor, so she'd know how to take care of Dr. Min.

I took out my phone and called mama. She answered after five rings.

Me: Ma...

Mama: Yes dear?

Me: I think I need to tell you something.

Mama: What is it? You sound...

Me: Ma, we saw the news. Someone broke into the Min residence.

Mama: What??! Are you sure? How did you know? Are they alright?

Me: Ma, shhh... I'm concerned Dr. Min will hear and...you know...

Mama: It's okay. I'm currently out, eating breakfast. She's back in the clinic.

Me: *sigh* Oh...yes ma. The Mins are alright. They caught the thief, but Taehyung got hurt.

Mama: Oh dear. Do they need some medical help now? I could go there and check up on them...

Me: The police are there now ma, and there's a medical team there. The thief may have hit Taehyung because he screamed when he saw the thief.

Mama: Suho, I want you to make sure your brothers and sister are inside the house. No one leaves the house until I return. Okay? I'm going to call your papa about this. You better have the police number ready just in case.

Me: Yes ma. I've got it all covered.

Mama: I don't know whether to tell Hyo-rin right away.

Me: You know what to do, ma.

Mama: Yes...I hope so.

Me: I think that's it. I just needed to tell you.

Mama: Thanks dear. Be safe. Lock every door or window. Keep inside and keep together.

And she hung up.

The gate was locked. The front door was locked. The back door was locked. All the windows were closed and locked. The house felt like prison. It wasn't hot inside though, since it was still chilly outside. We didn't have to turn the heater on.

Tao: If they wanted to kidnap Taehyung, what do you think is the purpose of the person behind this?

Chanyeol: Maybe someone held a grudge against them?

Tao: From Korea?

Chanyeol: Yeah. Like someone who wasn't particularly happy that they moved here.

Tao: Why wouldn't they be happy about that if they didn't like the Mins in the first place.

Chanyeol: Beats me.

Sehun: Maybe it's not the Mins. Maybe it's because of someone close to the Mins.

Tao: Like...hmmm...

Sehun: The Kims?

Chen: Right. Wasn't Jin's car stolen first?

Sehun: Yeah. And they couldn't touch the Kims now because they have a bodyguard.

Kai: The Mins have one, too.

Chen: But didn't Yoongi tell Lay hyung that their eomma let their driver go on a day off today?

Kai: Oh yeah.

Sehun: Maybe someone is just watching their every move, ready to strike anytime they are not expecting it.

Kai: I suddenly wanna go on a stakeout.

Kyungsoo: Let's go upstairs. We can check out the neighborhood from the windows upstairs.

And we all scrambled up the stairs. The househelp had shaken their head when all of us went up like a school of fish. Not one of us stayed downstairs.

We went inside the media room. Chanyeol and Tao went to peek, through the slits of the thick curtain, outside the window. Xiao Yi went to stand on her tiptoes beside Chanyeol. Kyungsoo and Baek had gotten each a piece of paper and started drawing the house floorplan. I went to the second floor. Chen and Kai followed me. I went inside our room and went to peek at the window. Kai went to peek on the other side. Chen had gone to the other side of the second floor, in their room and possibly was looking out the window from his side of the house.

Since we were in the second floor, I was able to see more of the street view from up here. The street downstairs was quiet, except for a few cars that passed by every few minutes. I saw some neighbors' cars parked outside their property, especially those who didn't have a wall around the house.

Tao and Chanyeol had come up the stairs and went inside my room. They went to peek out my window as well. Kai had gone to follow Chen and check what he was looking at.

Tao: You have a better view up here.

Chanyeol: Yeah. We could see more out there.

Tao: That car. I've seen that before.

Me: Where?

Tao: To your right, the one second from the corner.

Me: Where did you see it before?

Chanyeol: Hang on. I think I saw that before, as well.

Tao: I just can't quite remember where. But I already saw that before.

Me: Maybe you just saw it before because they are our neighbor's?

Tao: No. I don't think so. I have never seen it parked there before.

Chanyeol: Wait.

Me: What?

Chanyeol: I know. I remember.

Tao: Refresh my memory, hyung.

Chanyeol: Remember that time when J posted on his FB about a car following them?

Tao: Oh yeahhhhh... That's the car!

Me: But you said you saw it somewhere, Zitao.

Tao: Yes. I did see it. Now I remember. It's the same car I saw near school during the family day.

Me: Why did you remember that car?

Tao: It was parked right across the gate. When we went to change our shirts at the car, I kind of saw it try to get in the gate, but of course, the MIBs didn't allow the driver because it didn't have a school sticker.

Chanyeol: Damn!

Me: Wu Can Lie!

Chanyeol: Sorry hyung.

Tao: It tried to follow us back home, too. You know...when we...tchh... Sehun, Kai and me were grounded that afternoon, remember? And mama and papa had to let us leave after the family day activities?

Me: Did you tell papa about it?

Tao: Nope. I wasn't that suspicious back then, because it turned into a corner as we made our way to the bakeshop to buy Kyungie's cake.

Me: Oh my god. Tao, you're creeping me out.

Tao: Orz waeyo?

Me: That car is just a few houses away from ours. It means that whoever is inside that car is watching us right now. Can Lie! Get away from that window!

I suddenly stepped away from the window and pulled Chanyeol away as well. Tao was already sitting on the bed and thinking.

Tao: You know what? I think we better call the police to make some rounds in this area. If that car leaves, then we can be sure that it wants us.

Me: Hao ba. Let me call the police. You stay away from that window!

I pulled Tao away, since he was walking to peek outside again. I took out my phone, still holding Tao's hand with my other hand.

I dialled the police hotline. The police officer on the other end of the line answered.

"Wei. Fengtai police hotline, what can I do for you?"

"I'd like to report a suspicious car outside our house, please."

"Location please."

I gave our address and described the car in question. After I gave the details to the police, they thanked me and promised to have someone come and check. I thanked them as well and hung up the phone. I ordered Tao to go downstairs and tell the others to stop peeking out the window. Chen and Kai had returned from checking the other side of the house. They went to sit on Xiumin's bed. Chanyeol had gone to check the window again. I told him not to push the curtain too wide. I went down to follow Tao.

The rest of them were still in the media room, just waiting for what will happen. Baekhyun and Kyungsoo had started a thumb fight. Xiao Yi was looking out the window with Lay. They were whispering to each other. I called Lay's attention as Tao told the others about his theory. And as was expected, they started for the window at once.

Me: Didn't I just tell you not to stay by the window?

Baek: I want to see!

Me: Baixian, go upstairs then. Don't open more windows than we ever need. The last thing we want is for them to get suspicious of us.

Baek: Fine.

Lay: I do remember what J had said on his sns before. We were talking about it when he posted it, right?

Tao: Yes. And I just remembered it's the same car I saw at the family day.

Sehun: What car?

Kai: You did say something about a car. I just can't remember what it looked like.

Tao: Come upstairs. You'd be able to see it better from upstairs.

Me: JUSEYO! QING! JEBAL! Can you not? We're dealing with possible murderers here.

Tao: I just want them to see so they can also remember and watch out for it in the future.

Sehun: Tao's got a point.

Me: Alright. Fine. One at a time, please.

I led the way upstairs. The rest of them trailed behind me. Inside our room, it was crowded, for everyone was converged inside now. Tao went to stand by the window and asked to clear the other side, so as not to attract any attention from the owner of the suspicious car.

I was only waiting for the police car to make the rounds in our area.

"I knew it!"

"What?"

"It's moving...the car's moving!"

I had to check for myself.

Indeed, whoever was in the driver's seat had turned the engine on and was slowly backing the car to the street. A police car had slowed down near our house and was moving towards the suspicious car. The car suddenly sped off in the other direction. The police car stopped and probably called for backup. One of the officers who were in the car got out and walked towards our gate and rang the doorbell.

I scrambled downstairs and pulled Tao with me. Lay had stretched his hand out to prevent Xiao Yi and Kyungsoo from following. "No. You stay here."

Baekhyun followed us downstairs. One of the househelp had gone to open the gate. She looked at me first to ask if it was okay for her to open. I nodded and she went ahead and opened the gate. The police officer didn't step inside. They asked something from the househelp and since she wasn't able to answer him properly, I had to walk a little faster towards the gate.

Tao and Baek behind me, I faced the officer. The househelp had gone back inside the house.

Officer: Good morning. Was it you who called about a suspicious car?

Me: Yes, sir.

Officer: We have seen the car you described just a few houses from here, but when we slowed down to confront them, they sped off.

Me: We saw that from the window.

Tao: Actually, officer, I've seen that car before. In school.

Officer: School? A schoolmate perhaps?

Tao: Nope. They tried to get in, but they didn't have the official sticker on the car.

Officer: When was this?

Tao: A few days ago, last Saturday, actually. Family day in FIS.

Officer: FIS? Same school where those carnapping and kidnapping reports were from?

Me: Yes, sir.

Baek: You do know that the Min's residence just a few blocks from here had been broken in and the thief was found to have taken a car key?

Officer: Yes, we know. In fact, there's a police team watching over that house now.

Baek: We think it's the same person who's doing all these.

Tao: Someone who's behind all these...same person, yeah.

Officer: Now, boys. Leave the investigation to us. But thank you for the information. Is there anything I can help you with now?

Me: Sir, I just want to know if you can have a regular police team check this area.

Officer: Of course.

Me: Ganxie ni, jingwu xiansheng.

Officer: Buyong xie. Please close the gate and lock it. I would suggest that if any of you were to step out, to be vigilant.

Me: No one's going out of this house today, officer. Thank you for the concern.

Officer: Haoba. Just call the hotline in case something like this happens again.

Baek: We will. Thank you for coming.

Me: Thank you again, officer.

And the police officer let us close the gate first before he went back to the car with his partner.

Tao: I knew it! Someone's after us, too. Not just the Kims and Mins.

Me: Zitao, shhh...

Tao: But...

Baek: Why would someone want to get us?

Me: Someone must have a grudge on papa?

Baek: Another secret family?

Tao: No. Why would a secret family do surveillance on us? More like a business rival.

Me: You watch too many spy movies, Zitao.

Baek: Can we call papa?

Me: It's early in the morning there. We can't wake papa up.

Baek: But this is important.

Tao: I'm going to call mama.

Me: Wait.

Tao: Why?

Me: I already called mama earlier about the Min incident.

Tao: I think mama needs to know about this too. Especially this one.

Me: Okay. Baixian, you call mama. I'm going to call papa.

I sank onto the couch in the living room as I fished out my phone from my pocket. I scrolled through my contacts list and selected papa's number. I took a deep breath before I pressed the "call" button. Baek had sat down opposite me and was calling mama. Tao looked at me and Baek simultaneoulsy.

Lay was calling the shots upstairs. I heard him scold Chen who seemed to have tried opening the window and looking out in the open. Kai and Sehun's heads peeked from the stairs and they slowly went down and sat on the last few steps. Xiao Yi had followed them and walked past them to sit beside me. Chanyeol and Kyungsoo were still upstairs with Lay and Chen.

Papa answered his phone after about nine rings. He was probably deep asleep when I called.

Papa: Junmian. What is it?

Me: I think it's in order that I tell you about this, pa.

Papa: Hold on. What's the time...hmmm...oh..okay.

Me: Papa, there was a suspicious car outside. When we reported it to the police, it sped off.

Papa: What? Car?

Me: Yes. I mean...the car was sort of doing surveillance on us. Tao said he noticed it before and-

Papa: Are you alright? Did you ask the police to have a team on standby outside the house? Where are your brothers? Your sister?

Me: They're all here, pa. Baekhyun is calling mama right now. Lay is with the others upstairs. The police just came a few minutes ago.

Papa: Did you see anyone get out of that car before? Where is Zitao?

Me: He's here pa...hold on... Tao, papa wants to talk to you.

Tao scooted over and sat on my other side. He took my phone and spoke with papa.

Tao: Pa...dui-ah. It's true. No. I didn't see anyone now. Family day, pa. Shi de. Twice to be exact. Hmm?

As Tao spoke with papa, Xiao Yi listened intently. She had looked worried when Tao mentioned that the car who was parked just a few houses from ours was possibly watching us. I put my arm around her and smiled. I had to look calm. It was essential to be calm right now. I was the da ge. I wondered how the three oldies might have handled this.

I knew it would have been calmer if the three oldies were here. I had three others who I could lean onto when I felt like giving up. But they weren't here and all I had to help me were Lay and Baek. I had to trust them now. They will be working with me once the three oldies started uni.

Tao finished speaking with papa and he handed the phone back to me. Papa said that they couldn't come home right away since they were to check the house the next day, and Luhan, Kris and Xiumin were finalizing their enrollment on Monday. But once they have everything settled there, they'd be on their way home. Papa asked me to keep him posted of the developments regarding the suspicious car. I told him I would. I also mentioned to papa about the Min residence incident. Papa suddenly fell silent and quietly thanked me for the information. He told me not to worry too much and just trust Baek and Lay. He also told me to make sure that mama was safe, especially since she was always out of the house.

Then papa hung up.

I closed my eyes and took three deep breaths.

Xiao Yi snuggled beside me. Tao did the same on my other side. Baek had finished talking to mama and was also reclining on the couch with his arm covering his face. His hand went limp on the couch and he let his phone slip to the seat.

"TTT!!! DUCKK!! WHAT THE FUUUUUUU-!!!"

CRAAAAAAAAAAASHHHH!!!

Lay had shouted from upstairs. Chanyeol, Chen and Kyungsoo had scrambled downstairs screaming as well. Lay followed with his face all white.

"I THINK SOMEONE JUST SHOT OUR WINDOW!"

WAIT.

WHAT?

SHOT?

WITH A BULLET?

Me: Shot? What? Bullet?

Lay: I don't know. I don't know. The window's broken. I was about to look outside but then I saw something coming and I just had time to duck when something collided with the window and broke it.

Me: Call the police again. NOW!

Baek: On it. On it. On it.

Everyone was in panic now.

I told everyone to stay under and not show any part of their bodies to the windows outside. I crawled to the stairs and went up. I just realized Chanyeol and Tao were behind me. I tried to kick them off so they won't follow, but Tao crawled up the stairs faster. He got to the first floor ahead of me and ran upstairs. He paused at the second floor landing and turned to look at me and Chanyeol. He waited for us to reach the second floor with him, before we crawled into the my room.

The door was left open when the boys ran out of the room. I saw some shards on the floor by the door. The impact was that hard. I saw the window all broken. Whatever hit it must have been bigger than a bullet. If it was a bullet, it wouldn't have shattered most of the glass.

Tao stopped outside the door and crouched down low. We didn't crawl anymore for there were glass splinters on the floor. Then Tao caught something in his hand.

It was a baseball.

Someone must have used a powerful launcher or hit the ball with a bat to let it fly off and hit our window.

But it was no ordinary baseball.

Nope. Not kids who were playing in the neighborhood. Someone had deliberately let this ball fly in my window's direction. Someone who knew we were watching from the window.

Because there was a note tied to the ball. The ball was wrapped in a sheet of paper. Tao carefully untied the string and unwrapped the ball. There was a note on the paper. He read it and froze. I snatched the paper from him and read it too. Chanyeol looked over my shoulder.

"BAIXIAN! GET EVERYONE UP HERE. NOW!"

"Eeny meeny miny moe. Catch a Wu kid by the toe. You are next." Someone's really excited in catching a Wu now. *screams* Anyway, I can't right now. I just saw War of Hormone MV and I just can't seem to think clearly. I'm still disoriented. Dx Did anyone of you die watching the MV, too? Because I died. I'm just back alive to post this update.
