First day back at school.

After the New Year celebration.

First period.

Jungkook hands me his Christmas gift. And I gave him mine. He had been speechless as he gave me his gift. He just smiled as he handed me the box.

JK: I... Uh...hope you like it.

Me: I hope you like my gift too.

JK: Of course.

Me: You haven't even seen it yet.

JK: Okay.

And he opened the box.

I had given him a jade bracelet with a dragon carving.

I opened his gift.

He had also given me a jade bracelet with a phoenix carving.

Jade is believed to protect the person who wore it. And I wanted something that would symbolize something that I cared for him. To Chinese, giving somethingmade of jade is like giving someone a part of you.

I guess you could say that there were no words needed after we saw each other's gifts.

I think there were more than butterflies in my stomach. There were gymnasts turning somersaults in there, too.

He just cleared his throat and wore the bracelet.

JK: It's nice. Thank you.

Me: You're welcome. Thanks...too.

JK: Uhm...yeah... *chuckles*

I wore the bracelet as well. He smiled a knowing smile.

JK: Now I'm sure you'r protected.

Me: Nado.

And we both laughed.

I had given Taehyung a late Christmas gift as well. I was surprised that he also had something for me. He told me that since I was the first friend he had when they transferred to the school, it was but fitting to give me something.

FISSkT had practice that day. First day back at school and first day back at practice for the boys. It was for the best, since the last eliminations were near.

Yoongi's swimteam had practice that day too, as he advances to the semis.

Kris had basketball practice, because his next game was up in a week.

Luhan and Xiumin's first soccer match would be up in a week's time too, so they had to practice.

I had a bad feeling though.

I couldn't put my finger to it, but I felt something was going to go horribly wrong.

I whispered a small prayer to keep the boys safe while they were practicing. I had to ride with Suho back home, since most of the oldies had game practice. As usual, I got to the school parking lot ahead of them. Jungkook, J and Jimin had trooped to Jin's car to dump their stuff in. Jin arrived with Suho and Lay.

J: Hyung, drop by Lo's juseyo.

Jin: What for?

J: The usual chocolate stuff...Yumm yumm...

Jin: Want me to come pick you up later after practice?

Jungkook: Yeah, please.

Jimin: I'd rather, too.

Jin: Alright.

J: Bring the choco back okay? I wanna eat them as soon as you come pick us up.

Jin: Pshhh... fine.

And they bade goodbye to Jin who chuckled to himself. Suho and Lay waved at Jin who drove away first, since we were waiting for Chen and Kyungsoo.

That night, Kim Seok Jin was on the headlines.

Suho had turned the TV on to watch the news while he read through his lessons for the next day.

Jin was reported missing that evening.

WHAT?!?

We were scattered in the living room and lounge upstairs doing our homework. The ones who were upstairs had to dash down to watch the news.

This. Couldn't. Be. Happening.

*Cries*
