Get ready to be very confused!

Chapter Fifty-Four

Kyuhyun balanced the food out carefully. Normally he wasn’t really a klutz but whenever he would take the food down to Sungmin’s cell, he would get nervous. Sungmin hadn’t acknowledged his presence anymore after their kiss but it didn’t matter how frustrated Kyuhyun became, he still brought the food.

He carefully put down the food made by Ryeowook in front of the cell so that he could open the door. He took the key from his pocket and put it into the door. His fingers were trembling from the nervousness. Just Sungmin’s presence was enough to set him on fire, it was enough to made his insides turn, it was enough to make his heart bounce, it was almost too much.

He opened the door but didn’t look inside it because he wanted to get the food inside the cell without spilling something and that was a difficult task for him. So instead he decided to push the tray with food into the cell, he didn’t care that it looked stupid. Sungmin had seen him already so there weren’t many things to get embarrassed about anymore.

“Sungmin, here’s yo-”

He stopped in midsentence. His eyes widened and his breath was caught in his throat. If he had been carrying the tray at the time, he would’ve let it slip out of his hands. He wanted to scream, to alarm someone but he just couldn’t find any words anymore. His mind was blank and the only thing he knew was that he was staring at:

An empty cell.

His mind began working again and he quickly examined the area. The area was clean, there was no blood on the floor so Sungmin could not slipped have out of the manacles. There was also no sign of breaking in the cell because he would’ve seen it earlier.

The only logical explanation was that someone had gotten him out and that someone had a key.

He turned around, ready to exit the room when he saw another person standing in the doorway.

“Wait, Kyuhyun!”

There was a bump in the way. How he hated bumps in the way, it woke him up from his sleep but not fully which made him float in a bit of a dreamlike state with real influences such as light.

Donghae grumbled but as he felt the car speed up again, he fell asleep again.

It felt great, Hyukjae was cupping his cheek and slowly kissing him. The petals were falling on their heads as they drove by the trees. Hyukjae wiped a petal that was on his head away and kissed him. He couldn’t help out but call out the name of his lover, he had to let him know that he felt so good.

“Who are you dreaming about?”

That voice woke him up like a bucket full of ice water. He widely opened his eyes and lifted his head a bit up to look at the person who was holding his attention at the road. Sometimes his strawberry blond hair fell over his deer like eyes and he blew it away with soft plump lips though his eyes never left the road.

“Sungmin.” Donghae gasped before breathing the driver’s name out and confused he stared at the way in front of them. Sungmin belonged in the cell, didn’t he? He was the one who made it possible for Kato to kidnap him.

“You didn’t answer my question. Who are you dreaming about?” Sungmin asked again, he quickly flashed a quick smile to Donghae who was so confused that he answered: “I dreamed about Hyuk- I mean Eunhyuk.”

Sungmin nodded but didn’t answer verbally. It was quiet for a bit in the car and Donghae used the silence to look around in the car. The first thing he noticed was that he wasn’t restrained by anything but a seatbelt and that was quite normal since they were in a car. The second thing that he noticed was the little card on the dashboard which said: ‘Rent-a-Car!’. And the third thing was that they were driving on a high-way and that they were definitely not in Seoul anymore.

“Where are we going?” He asked Sungmin before he even rethought his decision but to his pleasant surprise, the bunny man answered: “We’re going to Busan.” He answered and just before Donghae wanted to ask something again, Sungmin added: “And from there we’re going to Thailand.”

“I’ve never been to Thailand.” Donghae murmured before asking: “But why are you taking Thailand?”

Sungmin didn’t answer and just focused on the road. Donghae figured that it was maybe for the best to stay quiet for a moment. He should try later again. His thoughts couldn’t help but wander to Eunhyuk. Did he know where he was? Was he alright? Would he be upset?

It were all childlike questions but Donghae couldn’t help but question them. Tears formed in his eyes and he couldn’t help but shed a tear while he looked out of his side window. Why was he taken away from Eunhyuk again? Had he not had enough hardships already?

“How did you get out of your cell and why are you kidnapping me?” He accused Sungmin in a sudden flare of courage and anger.

Sungmin began laughing but again, he didn’t answer but Donghae didn’t give up and asked again: “How is it that you were able to get out of the cell and that you’re here driving us to Busan?”

Sungmin stopped with laughing, it was abruptly and it seemed like his bipolar demeanour from when they met, was back. “You’ve got one person to thank for that…”

The last dead body was send overboard and Eunhyuk sighed while grabbing the railing. Hangeng leaned to the wall as he was watching Kibum at work; he was trying to save the last living person from the dead.

“A dead end, literally.” Daniel stared at the struggling male on the ground but it seemed like even Kibum couldn’t save him. Eunhyuk nodded grimly, there wasn’t anything indicating on the boat that had anything to do with the dragon’s eye. Kato had simply set them on the wrong track and now they where they began. It was disappointing and a real setback.

“Yesung!” He called out and saw the dark-haired male slowly walking up to them, “have you managed to contact Siwon?” Eunhyuk needed some advice from his under-boss because he was stuck and all his mind could think of now was the sad face of his lover.

“No, we can’t manage to get a hold of him, it’s like the line went dead or something.” Yesung answered while wiping his sweat from his front head. Eunhyuk found it stupid that he was wearing black clothes in this kind of weather but he didn’t say anything about it to his Capo.

“God what is that man doing in this kind of situation?” Eunhyuk called out but nobody answered him because they all thought the same thing and nobody had an answer.

Confused? Good, that was my intention >:) So who got Sungmin out of his cell? And why is he taking him to Thailand? What happened when Donghae was sleeping? Why did Sungmin do all this? Well it seems that we have enough stuff to go on with...

Chapter 65: This has got to be one of the best plots I’ve ever read, like it really kept me on my toes the entire time!! I just wish there was a bit more detail between the last two chapters cuz I’d like to know how eunhae picked themselves back up and how Donghae handled being a big brother. But all in all it was great! You did amazing!

Chapter 65: To tell you honestly, I first saw this story from a recommendation, seeing the upvotes and subbies, I really believe it is a good fic.. I started reading it and to tell you the truth, I got bored on the 7th chap (simply because I crave for eunhae and there's so many twist in this story).. So I browse your other stories and read and finished Art of Seduction.. And I didnt regret it ( I commented on that fic!! )

Thats the time that I decided to continue reading this and I also didnt regret going back to read it.. Honestly, I will regret it much more if I didnt read it.. Cause men!! I FREAKING LOVE THIS STORY!!

The mafia thing, the mystery, hyuks character, the whole twist, the mother's invovlement.. God!! You are genius!!

Finished reading it! really liked it, but while reading, the story reminded me of one of my favorite manga's.
Using dragon's eye, which, in the manga, was an artifact that can help control people's minds and when Donghae "died, I instantly thought of white water, as the same thing happened to the main in the manga.

To whoever is interested, the manga is called Red River.

Chapter 65: Finish reading this beautiful story for the second time!!
I really loved the way Hyuk changed from the cold guy to being all sweet with Hae! ^_^
I suffered when Hae "died" in front of Hyuk, although I knew what was going to happen next, but Hyuk's pain was heartbreaking :(
And I don't know what to say more of this fantastic fic!! Good job, author-nim! ^_^
