The next few days, Kyuhyun, Donghae and Henry had tried to figure out what that certain dragon’s eye exactly was. Much to their displeasure it hadn’t worked. Kyuhyun knew that they had to get a hold on a computer but that was difficult because the only rooms that held a computer were Eunhyuk’s, Siwon’s and Sungmin’s room. Though they had access to two of the three of those rooms, there was a very difficult password on it so even Kyuhyun couldn’t break in.

He had tried to hack the computer though and he almost succeeded if the bunny hadn’t come in to ask for his attention. Sungmin actually did ask often for his attention. Often teasing him with stolen kisses in the hallway or touching somewhere where Kyuhyun definitely didn’t want to be touched but the bunny was still the evil rabbit he was and did it anyway. Well at least he hadn’t tried to sleep with him again. Kyuhyun only needed to say that he would do it once of his own free will and the bunny stopped though it didn’t keep him from trying every time he saw Kyuhyun. And even though Kyuhyun definitely wasn’t planning on having with Sungmin again, sometimes he couldn’t help but feel tempted. Especially that time when Sungmin woke him up in the middle of the night:

Kyuhyun had to sleep with one of his hands cuffed to the bed. “Safety measures,” Sungmin had said to him when he asked why. Though that smile on his face made Kyuhyun highly uncomfortable, it told him that maybe that tied hand wasn’t only a safety measure.

Nonetheless had he gone to sleep and the first two days everything went alright. But the day after was when the trouble began. Kyuhyun had told Henry that it was his birthday today and Henry had been so nice to ask Ryeowook to make a birthday cake but nobody else would’ve known otherwise than those two and Hae. Sungmin had helped Eunhyuk with torturing a drugs-lord or something that had done some business without Eunhyuk’s consent, so he couldn’t have known.

And yet Kyuhyun woke up that night when a hoarse voice whispered in his ear: “I still have to give you a kiss, birthday boy.” Followed with a hot and searing pair of lips on his own. Kyuhyun couldn’t help but moan and from that point on everything went southwards, literally. And yet they ended up not doing anything because of a certain ‘angel’ or ‘devil’ (depended on how you looked at it) that came into the room with the name of Eunhyuk. “Rabbit, I don’t have time for your multiplying, hurry up!” He growled and walked out of the room without an explanation.

Sungmin’s whole demeanour had changed and he had walked out of the room with such an unnatural serious face that Kyuhyun involuntarily felt a bit scared. He didn’t focus on that though and he just  tried to do his best to calm himself down.

But ever since that certain night, Sungmin hadn’t tried anything anymore on the bed, in the hallways (and everywhere else) he was all over Kyuhyun except when they were in his bedroom. It was as if Sungmin didn’t want to get anywhere closer to Kyuhyun then necessary but he still didn’t want to give up all his fun so he did it where it couldn’t escalate to something bigger.

Kyuhyun didn’t mind though because he could now focus on solving that puzzle behind the dragon’s eye. He knew that it was the only way to stop this whole circus was to find that dragon’s eye and to make sure that somebody got it and that everybody knew it so that Anne and Donghae would be left alone. So currently he was finally busy with the internet. Apparently, Henry had found an old laptop in the attic (it wasn’t very old, just not the newest model anymore) and Kyuhyun had found a way to get around the password for the internet connection.

The three of them were currently sitting in Henry’s room. One of the rooms that wasn’t off limits for Donghae and Kyuhyun. Just as the kitchen, the living room, the bathroom, Sungmin’s room (for Kyuhyun) and Eunhyuk’s room (for Donghae).

It still surprised Kyuhyun that Eunhyuk let Donghae stay in his room. Donghae was still very scared of Eunhyuk. He always cowered away when the older was in the room and he was even too scared to sleep in Eunhyuk’s room but he still fell asleep after staying awake for four hours. Donghae had told Kyuhyun that he was very scared of the older one but that he still had to sleep on the bed with him. And when he did he couldn’t go anywhere. Not because Donghae was cuffed to the bed like Kyuhyun but because the mafia leader was a hugger. From the moment that Eunhyuk slept, he would pull Donghae’s figure to him and he didn’t let go until morning. The first few days, Donghae hadn’t slept those nights and he would fall asleep around breakfast time when Eunhyuk had left the room, now it only took him four hours.

Henry poked Donghae’s face when the other’s eyelids were drooping. “You have to stay awake, fish!” Henry told him, that was actually the nickname that Donghae had gained in the short time that Kyuhyun and he lived with the mafia. And it had slowly made him more comfortable with everyone. And now that Kyuhyun and Donghae knew that they weren’t going to be killed, they slowly became friends with everyone. Well, everyone except Eunhyuk. The mafia leader was still very cold to the captives not letting one moment go to remind them that he could kill them if he wanted. Though Kyuhyun knew that he wouldn’t do that, especially since he already should’ve done it when there was no purpose for them anymore. They didn’t even know where Anne was, so keeping them alive was not necessary and yet they were alive. When Kyuhyun had asked that question to Siwon. The older one had smiled and answered: “Eunhyuk doesn’t want to admit that he doesn’t have the guts to court the fish, but he knows that his chances would be reduced if he killed either you or the fish.” Kyuhyun had nodded, but he wasn’t really sure because he couldn’t really gauge the mafia leader. They actually didn’t see Eunhyuk a lot. He spend much time at his office or anywhere else but not in the rooms where he and Hae came in.

“I’m awake! I’m awake!” Donghae yelled after Henry’s poke and the younger one giggled.

“Good.” Kyuhyun answered while he was still furiously typing on the keyboard. He was almost through the lock and with a triumphant ‘enter’ he opened the internet!

“We have internet!” He said and Henry clapped in his hands. Henry actually couldn’t use the internet here because it was too dangerous. Even now it was dangerous. If they would be busted then they could count on a heavy punishment.

“Okay let see,” Kyuhyun said while going to google. “dragon’s eye.” He typed into the search engine and pressed ‘enter’ again.

Kyuhyun read the first result out loud and began laughing! “Why didn’t I think of that?” He smiled and he already moved the cursor to the page but Henry prevented him from looking on the site. “You know that it’s risky to do this. I know for sure that the Dragon’s eye isn’t a game so can we please continue our search?”

“Well, that’s sounds promising…” Henry said and Kyuhyun and Donghae looked at him, not entirely sure if he was joking or not. “But it’s a symbol, not an artefact.” Donghae objected while looking at the screen again to make sure that he was right. But Kyuhyun already understood at what Henry was hinting! “Yeah, but they could’ve named it that because the Dragon’s eye has the same shape as the symbol does.” He deducted and Henry nodded happily.

Suddenly they heard ticking on the door and as quickly as the three of them could, they shoved the laptop under the bed and picked up the cards that they had been supposedly playing.

Ryeowook came inside and with a small smile he asked: “It’s dinner time, are you guys coming?” He asked them and the boys nodded reluctantly because they wanted to continue with their research. So they left the room while leaving the cards forgotten on the floor.
