Amber’s P.O.V.

I sighed checking my outfit in the mirror one last time and looking at my watch. 7:55… Okay, get it together Amber, this is your princess, the mystery girl, the one you’ve been obsessing over. Give the girl a chance! Okay, okay, you can do this Liu! As I was giving myself a pep talk I heard my doorbell ring and I looked at my watch again. 8pm, wow, punctual. I took a deep breath and opened the door greeting Suzy with a bright smile. I followed her back to her car and soon we were sitting in an Italian restaurant.

“Sorry, I wasn’t sure if you liked Korean food or not, so I figured this was a safe bet.” I smiled at her gently. What? You know I like Korean food… I’ve told you that. Maybe she’s not the girl… no, no she’s probably just nervous so she forgot. Okay, it’s all good.

“Hey no worries. I do like Korean food, but Italian is good too!” She smiled brightly at me.

“Okay, good to know, maybe I’ll take you somewhere else for our second date.” She smiled and reached over to me placing her hand on my thigh as she spoke. I was about to say something in response but the waiter came over and started speaking to Suzy. She immediately pulled her hand back from me and started ordering our food. I frowned at that and felt my phone vibrate. I took my phone out of my pocket unlocking it quickly before looking at my new message:

“수연: I’m mad at you.” I looked at my phone and then up at Suzy who was still talking to the waiter. How the hell did she do that? I typed back quickly.

“Dorkber: What? Why?” My phone buzzed again but before I could look at the screen Suzy turned back to me.

“Amber do you want wine with your meal?” I looked at her dumbfounded before shaking myself out of my trance and responding.

“Um.. no, I uh.. I don’t drink.” How in the hell is she messaging me right now?! I looked back down at my phone, reading the message I just got.

“수연: You didn’t message me all day!” I was about to respond when Suzy leaned over and started speaking.

“Oh, you have Kakao too? Here add me.” She quickly took out a piece of paper and started writing her screen name down. She handed me the paper and I stared at it for a long time:

Suzy nudged me after a bit and I looked up at her with a confused expression. “Hahaha, so cute! I forgot that you can’t write Hangul. Here let me type it in for you.” She reached for my phone and I tore it away panicked.

“Um.. I no! No… it’s okay… I um… I need to practice!” I forced a smile at her and she just nodded and accepted my answer. Holy … I got the wrong girl! What the hell do I do? “I um… can you excuse me?
