Sooyoung was looking at Jessica’s laptop with her back facing Jessica. She was sulking over what Mrs Jung said to her. She just didn’t like the feeling of being unwanted. “Sooyoung..” Jessica called out for her.

She didn’t respond to the woman. She was pretending that she’s busy looking at the slides whereas she couldn’t focus a thing. Till that moment, she didn’t know what BPO was.

“Sooyoung..” Jessica called again softly. “Am I talking to Sooyoung’s back now?” Jessica asked. She was lying down on her comforter at the time. Sooyoung was still sulking.

“Sooyoung..” Jessica softly held on her back. “Talk to me.” Jessica said again.

“I don’t know what is BPO.” She mumbled innocently. Then she finally turned her back and looked at Jessica. She decided to let the issue go. There’s no point sulking over mean Mrs Jung.

“I’m sorry, I haven’t brief you anything.” Jessica said weakly and then she slowly tried to get up. Her body was still burning and she had a terrible migraine at the time.

“You don’t have to get up..” Sooyoung quickly muttered but she helped Jessica up anyway. Jessica then sat up straight on the comforter in front of Sooyoung. She then brushed her hair with her fingers before she tied her hair up. Sooyoung could see how red the woman’s face was.

“Come here.” Jessica asked Sooyoung to come closer to her. Sooyoung brought the laptop and went closer to Jessica. “Are you sure you don’t wanna lie down?” Sooyoung asked looking at the woman closely.

“I need to do this.” Jessica said with her eyes looking at her laptop that was on her lap.

“Alright Sooyoung, pay attention okay. I’m just gonna explain this once.” Jessica started to speak. “What if I don’t understand?” Sooyoung asked innocently.

“If you don’t understand, I will explain it again.”

“But you said just now you would only explain it once.” Sooyoung mumbled innocently.

“Sooyoungggg..” Jessica whined softly.

“Okay okay.” Sooyoung smiled. “Okay. BPO is Business Process Outsourcing. It involves contracting the operations and responsibilities for a particular business process to a third-party service provider.” Jessica explained seriously. She was always serious when it comes to her work.

“For your information, the outsourcing not just involves the customer services tech support but also include payroll and human resource. Once they agree to this, a small management will be set up over there to handle anyone who works with us.” Jessica further explained.

“Are you okay so far?” Jessica asked.

“This is easy.” Sooyoung replied.

“Alright, why do companies outsource?” Jessica asked her a question.

“Because not only does it save cost, it is also to get quality work done by resources who know their job. Therefore, it is essential for companies to outsource certain processes.” Sooyoung said proudly.

“Good.” Jessica smiled. “What is the connection between call centers and BPO?” Jessica asked her another questioned.

“Call centers are one of the very first processes of a business that were openly outsourced. Every company in this ing world outsourced their call centers.” Sooyoung smiled.

“Good. But please don’t say the word ‘ing’ tomorrow okay.” Jessica looked at her.

“You know what; I’m not used to cursing before. Call centers taught me that.” Sooyoung told Jessica.

“Well, regardless of whatever call centers taught you Sooyoung, I don’t like it when you curse.” Jessica replied. “Don’t curse in front of me.”

“But the other day you said to me. TWICE!” Sooyoung muttered.

“When did I say to you?” Jessica asked weirdly.

“When you found out about the complaint letter Soojin submitted.” Sooyoung sulked.

“Sooyoung, that was a different case. You would curse too if you were in my place that time.” Jessica replie
