“Can an employee be fired while on medical leave?? Is that even allowed?” Soojin asked looking directly at Sooyoung. “I don’t know.” Sooyoung mumbled. At the time she was having a late lunch with both her sister and mother at a cafe. “Choi Sooyoung, can you please tell me what happened exactly??” Mrs Choi asked with her angry face.

Sooyoung was somehow scared whenever Mrs Choi is like that and she really didn’t want to anger her mother even more. “Hmm I was chatting with my colleagues and then she came in saying that I need to go to the office tomorrow and bring all my ids and stuff.” Sooyoung mumbled innocently.

“Seriously that woman!” Soojin exclaimed. “First she slammed your thumb to a door and now she fired you???” Soojin was furious. “You could file a complaint to the labor law Sooyoung.” Soojin suggested.

“What? No I don’t wanna do that. It’s okay. I wanted to quit for a long time anyway. So it’s fine.” Sooyoung quickly said.

“But honey. This is not right!” Mrs Choi exclaimed.

“Guys, seriously, it’s fine.”

“I can’t let someone treats my daughter like this!” Mrs Choi exclaimed again in dissatisfaction.

“I knew something like this was about to happen. The woman is just weird. Who on earth doesn’t eat chicken??” Soojin questioned something so irrelevant.

“I know right.” Sooyoung smiled. “I’m thinking of taking a few months off before thinking of working again.” Sooyoung informed her mother.

“You know what, you deserve a vacation! No, we deserve a vacation!” Soojin got an idea. “That is a great idea Soojin!!!” Sooyoung screamed in joy. At that moment, Soojn straightaway checked on some places that they could go over this coming weekend.

“Mum, do you wanna go to a beach or somewhere up on the hill?” Soojin asked her mother.

“It’s been awhile since I last swam in the sea.” Mrs Choi closed her eyes imagining herself on the beach wearing a y bikini (please don’t imagine lol).

“Ergh.” Both Soojin and Sooyoung looked at each other because they imagined it way before the author could lol. “What about Jeju Jungmun Resort? It has a private beach in it.” Soojin suggested and then she showed them the picture of the resort and it was a beautiful.

“GREATT!!” Mrs Choi screamed her heart out. “Alright, I will book a room!” Soojin exclaimed excitedly. “This will be good for me right?” Sooyoung smiled looking at Soojin. “Yes. Get your mind off that .” Soojin said again.

“Sooyoung, since you are not working anymore, why don’t you come and sleep over the house with me?” Mrs Choi suggested. “Sure only if you let me bring my ps4.” Sooyoung replied. Her mother just rolled her eyes as a reply.

Soojin dropped Sooyoung back at her apartment later that day. “I am still not okay with what she did to you.” Soojin said as she parked her car in front of the apartment’s building.

“Soojin, please don’t think about it. We won’t be dealing with her anymore.” Sooyoung protested.

“Hmm okay. But I still think you should report on the woman.” Soojin mumbled.

“Can you pick me up tomorrow afternoon?” Sooyoung asked trying to get out of the topic. Since she agreed to stay with her mother for two days till their vacation started, she needed a lift from someone.  

“Eh? I thought you have to go to the office?” Soojin asked.

“Heh, I don’t wanna go. I’m already fired anywat, no point going back there.” Sooyoung had made up her mind. “Yeah. Good point.” Soojin nodded her head.
