Key was lying on Tiffany’s couch after he finished cooking dinner. Tiffany didn’t open up when Key knocked. Key wasn’t sure his friend was asleep because he heard sniffle from the bedroom. Tiffany needed time alone, he thought.

The handsome boy dialed his boyfriend’s phone number. Two rings then he remembered JungSoo was at dinner and it’d be rude if he picked up his phone right now. He disconnected the call and turned the DVD on.

“Fany-ah, give me that. We’re going to film it.” The TV was showing Tiffany’s old bed upside down. “This is our first date! We have to remember it forever!”

“You don’t need a video to remember, Taetae.”

“You’re totally right but I still want to record it. It will be fun to watch it someday. Come on.” Tiffany gave her the camera, Taeyeon reached for it as Tiffany bit her bottom lip and shook her head cutely. The screen was full of Tiffany’s close up body, “Did you like the flower I brought for you?” Tiffany hummed bashfully and nodded.

“I don’t know what to buy, to be honest. The florist said red rose is for passion or something I can’t really recall it. It’s complicated and confusing. But then I saw this white rose and I thought it’d be perfect for you. White is pure exactly like you.” Tiffany’s face was red like tomato at the compliment.

“Anyway,” Taeyeon moved closer to Tiffany. She reversed the camera towards them. “Today, June the thirteenth, 2010, Tiffany and Taeyeon are going on a date. Our first date ever! We’re at Tiffany’s room right now and we’re about to leave as soon as I turn this camera off because I have to drive. It’s still a secret and Tiffany has been dying to know where I take her! I’ll ask someone to record us when we get there. Bye bye!”

Key never watched this before. He didn’t realize he was crying the whole time. How he missed his best friend badly. He always pushed the feeling away and now he saw this, it made everything realer. He couldn’t imagine how Tiffany faced all of this alone. He fast-forwarded the video and he cried a waterfall.

“Taetae, how did – how could you even…” Tiffany opened and closed . She couldn’t speak properly.

“Do you like it?” Taeyeon sounded full of hope. She wasn’t on the screen, only Tiffany’s shocked face was present. The camera must be hidden because Tiffany didn’t nag Taeyeon’s odd hobby to record every damn thing.

“How did you buy this? Oh my god!” Tiffany was clearly freaking out.

“I’ve saved for it… okay I may or may not used my scholarship funds to add it up. But look! Isn’t it beautiful?”

“It wouldn’t be enough,” Tiffany stated skeptically.

“I borrowed some. It’s not a big deal. I’ll give him back his money.”

“Who?”

“Key.”

“Are you insane? Taeyeon-ah, you can’t do this!”

“Why not?”

“You need the money. I can’t take it.” Tiffany shook her head.
