Selflessness
NeffyShortiesTaeyeon cleared when the car stopped at the traffic light. She glanced at the shotgun seat as the passenger raised her brow up in question.
“So I met my gamers club friends earlier,” Taeyeon started, hands playing on the hem of her shirt nervously.
“I know,” Tiffany commented. She averted her eyes to the lamp, just in case it turned green.
“We talked,” a pause. “You know, about things.”
“Tae, why are you so edgy? Did you do something that’d make me mad? Did you buy video games again without me knowing?”
“No – no. I didn’t – I mean, I pre-ordered one but it’s not that expensive and – and–“ Taeyeon grinned apologetically.
“Tae, you know this isn’t about money. It’s about you spending hours on your games when I’m at home when we could have quality time together!” Tiffany folded her arms, looking at her disapprovingly. “It’s green. Go,” she commanded flatly. Tiffany was pissed at her girlfriend. Their rule was clear, one new game per month. It hadn’t been a week ago since Taeyeon last purchased it.
“I’m sorry,” Taeyeon spoke lowly. Realizing it was totally her fault, she shouldn’t argue with Tiffany, especially if she didn’t want to sleep alone on the freezing couch.
Tiffany didn’t respond to that. She kept her eyes on the road impassively. No one opened their mouth till they reached home.

Fresh from the shower, Taeyeon cautiously approached Tiffany and took a seat beside her who was watching Pretty Little Liars marathon in silence. Taeyeon knew Tiffany was still angry at her but the restlessness in her heart was overbearing. She really needed Tiffany’s assurance right now.
“Babe?”
“Don’t babe me.”
Taeyeon gulped at the frosty statement. She probably shouldn’t scoot closer since Tiffany wouldn’t mind to bite her, but this overwhelming feeling had to come to an end.
