“All lab seems good.” She then took the CT scan out of its holder. “CT also looks clean. I’ll talk to Doctor Oh, we’ll discharge him later.” Taeyeon nodded to her junior as she dismissed him.

Taeyeon sat behind the nurse station as she grabbed her phone, re-checking her exam schedule. Three weeks was all she has to prepare herself. The board exam was the latest exam she had to pass to be a real surgeon. It had been driving her mad lately. She had gone through every card her junior made for her, not to mention endless hours she spent at the medical record room to study real patients instead of a fake one.

“Even though that I agree that sleeping with the chief of resident does help in getting you surgeries, but that’s just… ugh! You gotta have more dignity, Tiff.”

“She’s like… way too older.”

“Guys, seriously,” Tiffany rolled her eyes. “Stay out of my personal life.”

“You mean your life. How is it, anyway? Is she really that good?” Sooyoung lowered her voice.

"I’m not going to discuss it with you.” Tiffany frowned as she shoved her best friend’s shoulder.

“I heard the chief of surgery has been promoting her to the board. She’s going to be a fellow here, if she doesn’t accept the offer from the other hospitals. I also heard that The Busan Medical Center is willing to pay her handsomely. Not to mention they’re also willing to give her a private lab to grow real skin. Fat chance she’d move there.”

“Where did you get that information, Yuri?”

“These walls have eyes and ears, Tiffany. You just have to listen closely. She didn’t tell you?”

“I – well, she…” Tiffany tucked her long bangs behind her ear. “She’s been really busy.”

“Told ya. She’s not going to be the ‘it’ girl for you. You’re the dust in this food chain and she’s like the king or something. She wouldn’t really consider a serious relationship with you. She’s just messing around with you.”

“Who’s messing around with who?” Taeyeon rose up from the chair, raising her brow at the bunch of interns in front of her.

They gasped loudly.

“I’m going to run to the ER.”

“Right, I’m on Doctor Yoo’s service today.”
