#1. Guilt
NeffyShortiesTaeyeon removed her watch, placing it on the nightstand at her side of the bed. She then walked toward the dressing table as she unhooked the wrist button of her shirt. She sat on the chair facing Tiffany who was currently reading a journal.
“I don’t think we should work together anymore.”
“Why?” Tiffany looked up from her paper, meeting Taeyeon’s apologetic stare.
“I don’t want to yell at you.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re my wife?”
“And?”
“And I don’t want to yell at you,” Taeyeon repeated with a low voice. “I feel guilty every time I did it.”
“But I’m fine with it.” Tiffany set the paper away. “I’m your wife in this house, and I am your resident at the hospital. It’s okay if you really have to yell at me. I don’t expect special treatment from you.”
Taeyeon heaved a breath. “This is not a good idea. I’m afraid it’d taint our relationship.”
“We’ve been working together for the past four years, Tae. We’re going to be fine.”
“This is your fifth year. You have too much pressure already. I don’t want to be a burden to you, too.”
“You’re not–”
“I can still teach you at home, alright? We can study together.”
“No,” Tiffany shook her head firmly. “We’ve talked about this–”
