She could tell how tired Taeyeon was. The visible black circles around her eyes and messed up hair were enough evidence. Tiffany looked at her attentively. How she missed her best friend badly. She wondered how did she pass that awful moment in her life when Taeyeon was absent.
 
“Alright, I’m here.” Taeyeon placed her drink on the table as she settled down on the chair.
 
Tiffany closed her eyes, letting the well-known sense of pain burnt every inch of her skin. Disappointment, failure, sadness, regret – all rushed, washing her body from head to toe. She had prepared for this. She had written her speech on a paper she kept somewhere in her purse.
 
“Tiffany-”
 
“I broke up with him.” She said before she could stop herself.
 
“Oh.” She opened her eyes to see Taeyeon knitted her brows together. “I’m sorry.” She spoke softly.
 
“I’m not.”
 
Taeyeon looked up to determination on Tiffany’s face. There was fire in those gorgeous orbs. Taeyeon tightened her jaw and glanced away. She fell for those eyes before, she couldn’t afford to do that again. Not when she had no perfect assurance.
 
“I’m not, Taeyeon.” Tiffany repeated.
 
“Elaborate, please.”
