New Jang Jia
Say "No!" to L. Joe
Chapter 30: New Jang Jia
Early morning, So Eun carried the heavy plastic to their door while the twins followed her behind, “Eonni, don’t you really want us to help you?” Min Young asked.
“No, it’s alright. You’re going to be late. I can handle this, I’m really strong!” So Eun pretended to have muscles on her arms.
She bid her goodbyes to her twin and went outside, “Okay, let’s get going. I can’t be late.”
When she tilted her head up, she saw L. Joe leaning against the wall of their apartment. Looking at her while his hands were inside his uniform’s blazer.
She gaped and stared at L. Joe, “What are you doing here, L. Joe?” she asked.
L. Joe sighed and walked close to So Eun, he grabbed the heavy plastic and carried it for her. He walked off without saying anything.
So Eun raised an eyebrow and shrugged, “He’s really weird.” She mumbled as she followed L. Joe behind.
*That ert ahjumma, she didn’t even greet me good morning!* L. Joe angrily thought as he walked faster away from her.
They both stopped at a bus stop and waited for a bus to arrive. So Eun kept glancing at L. Joe who was just looking left and right. So Eun didn’t know that L. Joe’s mad at her because of her being with Chunji last night and calling him key when he called for the first time.
“L. Joe, are you… mad? You looked mad.” She whispered, bending her body a little to see L. Joe’s expression. L. Joe didn’t respond and didn’t even look at her.
So Eun pouted and put her arms behind her back, “If you’re mad about last night, I’m sorry. Look, I don’t know why I am apologizing. I thought you were key oppa because you didn’t speak. If you did, I would easily recognize you.”
L. Joe softened a little, he doesn’t like when she sound so sulky. He’s not used to it. *No, L. Joe. Make her bother you more.* he evily thought as he stepped inside the bus.
So Eun sighed and followed L. Joe inside. She scanned her T-card and went to look for L. Joe. She stood a foot away from him, thinking that he might be mad and doesn’t really want to talk to her right now.
