“Because you have just messed with my girlfriend.”

I tugged his blazer again and tried to push him away.

“It’s okay, I’m here.” He whispered into my ears and kissed me again.

I blinked my eyes to get rid of the tears. Jin Young just told everyone I’m his girl, now I have more haters to deal with.

“I know you’re here watching, come out and apologise.” Jin Young said again.

Is Jin Ah somewhere around? If only I didn’t hurt my feet I would literally throw my bag at her face right now.

“What’s going on?” I heard someone said.

“Teacher?” I asked.

“Yeah.”

“Oppa, let’s go.”

He my hair. “Wait.”

I heard Shin Woo’s voice but I couldn’t hear the exact words he was saying. I glance up from Jin Young’s shoulder and saw my friends talking to the teacher.

“All of you, back to what you’re doing.” The teacher said.

I heard footsteps and slowly the sound died down.

“We’ll discuss this in the office.”

“Sir.” Sandeul said. “She’s hurt, we’ll handle it.”

He looked over at us then nodded. The girls came over and squeeze my arm before leaving with the rest.

Jin Young pressed his cheek onto mine. “You okay?”

“I think so.”

He turned around and squat down. “Come on, let’s get you home.”

“OW! Wait, OW!”

“It’s okay dear it’ll be over in a second.” Mrs. Kim said. “Jin Young-shii, can you please hold her?”

“Of course.”

“No, don’t come near me I might hit you. C-can I do it myself?”

“You always say that and ended up not putting any antiseptics on your wound.”

Jin Young climbed on the bed and hug me from behind.

“Shh, just relax.” He said and covered my eyes.

“Covering my eyes isn’t helping. Ow!”

“Alright, just a wrap and it’s done.”

I sigh and lean on Jin Young’s shoulder.

“That’s the way babe.” He murmured on my cheek.

“Don’t kiss me.”

Mrs. Kim laughed as she closed the first aid kit. “Alright, no making out when I’m still here.”

“N-no we’re not-”

“I’ll leave the rest to you, is it okay?”

Jin Young nodded. “Count on me.”

“He’s just probably going to take a nap again.” I muttered.

Mrs. Kim shook her head and closed the door.

“What a day.” I said.

Jin Young laid his back on the bed, bringing me down with him.

“Hey, I’ll be choking you, let me up.”

He chuckled and laid me on his side.

“Sleep, okay?”

I shook my head. “I’m not tired.”

“Yes you are.” He said and my cheek.

“Will you leave if I sleep?”

He shifted closer to me, hands still on my cheek. “I’ll stay as long as you want.”

“Sleepover?”

“Baby, it’s still weekdays.”

He pecks my lips when I pouted.

He gave me an apologetic look as he brushes his thumb over my bottom lip. “I’m sorry.”

“Why?” I said softly.

“I fail to protect you.”

I took his hand and placed it back on my cheek. “Don’t blame yourself.”

“I’m sorry.” He said again.

He came closer and rested his forehead on mine. I tilt my head up and kiss his cheek. “It’s okay.”

He smiles at me as he sat up. “I’ll explain everything to Mrs. Kim.” I grab onto his arm before he hop off the bed.

“Can you say good bye before you go?”

He placed a knee on my bed and lean down to kiss my forehead.

“I will.”

Mrs. Kim placed her cup of coffee on the table and looked at Jin Young.

“Please tell me you’re just making it up.”

Jin Young wished he was, but he shook his head.

“Oh dear, what a monster.”

“I’m sorry she got hurt. I should have known. She was acting weird last week.” Jin Young whispered softly.

Mrs. Kim put her hand over his, giving it a squeeze. “Don’t blame yourself, sometimes things happen.”

Jin Young smiled at her. Mia and she sounded so much alike.

Suddenly the door open, causing Jin Young to jump out from his seat.

His eyes widen when he saw a lady walking in.

“Good afternoon, madam.” He heard Mrs. Kim greeting her.

Jin Young can’t believe he’s now standing face to face with Mia’s stepmother, the one whom he dislikes even though he had never met her before.

She gave him a weird look before handing her bags to Mrs. Kim.

“Who is this?” she asked. He quickly greeted her.

“This is new. She never brings any boys home.”

Jin Young opened his mouth and closed it, he didn’t want to lie, but he knew Mia wouldn’t like it if he told the truth.

She turned around and meets eyes with him. “Did she leave you all by yourself? What a way to treat a friend.”

“It’s okay, Mrs. Choi. I’m leaving.”

“Hmm.” She said before turning back to the housekeeper. “Prepare dinner for 5, we have guest tonight.”

He watched her walked up the stairs while checking her phone.

“Guest?” he asked.

“Yes boy. Maybe it’s best if you leave now, I’ll handle Mia.”

“Okay.” He nodded. “Is it okay if I say goodbye?”

Jin Young practically run up the stairs as he doesn’t want to get caught by her stepmother. He opens her bedroom door slowly and tip toed in.

He smiles as he kneels beside Mia, who was sleeping on her stomach.

Bringing his hands through her hair, he slowly lifted her and turned her around so she’s sleeping on her back.

Jin Young traced his fingers over her face and stopped at her lips. Hesitating, he kissed her softly but to his surprise, she kissed him back lightly.

Mia unconsciously smiles as he murmured three words on her lips.

“I love you.”
