I Miss You

You Found Me

I’ve been coming to school earlier than I usually do so I could pretend to bump into Jin Young again.

His face was priceless when he saw me standing in front of my locker.

“Y-you’re early today.” he said, looking surprised.

“Yup.” I smiled.

He chuckled and took out a small paper from his pocket.

“I guess I don’t have to sneak it in your locker today.”

“Thank you.” I took the gift. “You don’t have to do this every day.”

“I want to.” He pouted. “Open it.”

I closed my locker and open the paper. There was a small flower hairclip in it.

“It’s beautiful.” I said, admiring it.

He took it from my hand and clips it on the side of my hair.

“So are you.” he whispered. I could feel my face burning.

He looked around for a while before kissing my cheek. “I’ll see you around.”

Days passed, waking up early was becoming easier for me.

But today, I didn’t get to meet Jin Young.

And, they weren’t anything inside of my locker either.

Maybe he stopped. Well, since I am the one who asked him to stop.

But I couldn’t help but to feel a little disappointed about it.

“Classes were hell!” Sandeul whines while Hana patted his back.

“Mia!” Gong Chan leans on my arm.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

“Teachers are all so strict right now.” Shin Woo who just came spoke. “So many projects and extended classes.”

I nodded while Gong Chan was still leaning on my arm.

“Where is oppa?” Yuri and I asked simultaneously.

“Oh, teacher wanted to see them.”

“Okay.”

After recess, the rest went back to their classes while I walked to mine alone.

Oppa, I’m going out with the girls after school today. Don’t wait for me.

I pressed the send button and went into my class.

“Mia! Over here!”

I sighed and waved back at Jin Ah. I’ve got no choice but to sit with her for the next one month since we’re practically partners.

“How’s your day?” she asked. “You looked tired.”

I gave her a smile. “A bit.”

“Is it about studies? Family?”

I shook my head.

“Jin Young oppa?”

I frozed. What the hell?

“Why him?”

She gave me an innocent look. “Well, I barely see you both hanging out lately.”

“Good morning!” my teacher greeted us.

We stood up and greeted him back.

“Oh, take a look at my part.” Jin Ah said, giving me a few sheets of papers.

I took it and looked at her again.

Why did she bring Jin Young up? Again?

-

Ever since that day we kinda faught, Jin Young told me to ask him any question I want to know. But when I talk about Jin Ah, he always avoided it.

Why?

“Yo! Hello? Yalu!”

I snapped out from my thoughts and saw Baro waving his hands in front of me.

“Oh, hi.”

“Is this seat taken?” he asked. I shook my head and put my stuffs away.

“Oh, Jin Young is still in class, the teacher wanted to see him.”

“Again?” I asked.

“Yeah.”

“Is he in trouble?”

“Nah, it’s about our project.”

“Sounds huge.”

“It is.” he nodded.

Jin Young has been busy for the whole week. We only met once during recess. He didn’t even walk me home.

And, no presents in my locker either.

Baro took out his book and looked at me again. “Are you guys okay?”

“Huh?”

“I don’t mean to pry but, I do realize the both of you are erm…”

“We’re fine, just you know, usual relationship stuffs. You should know that.”

He laughed. “Yeah, I do.”

I stare at the page of my book, still thinking about Jin Young.

“Hey.”

I looked up and saw Baro resting his chin on his folded arms.

“Do you want to talk?”

“With you?”

He put his hand on his heart. “Ouch.”

I laughed. “Sorry.”

He continued doing his things.

“Can I ask?”

He chuckled. “Yes?”

“Do you know Jin Ah well?”

He dropped his pencil. “Erm..not really.”

“But she seems so close with you guys.”

He sighed. “Well, what do you expect when you know who her father is?”

“So..You guys are forcing it?”

He shook his head. “She went to the same middle school with me.”

“What about Jin Young oppa?”

He looked up at me and pauses for a moment. “They were neighbours.”

“Neighbours, wait, were?”

“Yeah, she shifted.”

Before I could ask further, someone plop down on the seat next to me.

“Tired.” Jin Young whines and put his head on my shoulder.

I patted his cheek. “Have you eaten?”

He put his hand on top of mine and shook his head.

“You didn’t even eat during recess, go get some food.” I said.

“Hmm…” Jin Young snuggled closer to me. “Let me sleep.”

I swear I heard Baro feigned a yawn before telling us he’s meeting Yuri at the gate. He gave me a thumb up before leaving.

Jin Young was still holding my hand that was on his cheek.

“Oppa, people can see.” I said.

“Let them.”

“Oppa…”

“Why…Why can’t they see? Why can’t they know?”

“Because….”

“Why? Am I not good enough? Do I embarrass you?”

I lifted his head up. “No you’re not.”

“Then why..” he yawned.

He’s acting weird.

“You’re tired, let’s go home.”

He shook his head and lean back on my shoulder. “I want to stay with you.”

“Well, the library isn’t a good place you know.”

“I miss you.”

“Me too, but-”

“I haven’t seen you for three days.”

“That’s….true, but-”

“Shh…” he said.

His eyes were close and he was already half asleep.

I was glad I chose to sit at the corner back of the library again. Usually no one will come here.

Seeing him looking so exhausted, I decided to let him sleep.

I tapped his forehead. “Oppa, wake up for a second.”

“Why.”

I took my coat and folded it, placing it on my lap. “Here.”

He looked at it for a second before dropping his head onto my lap.

“You’re the best.” He murmured into my coat.

“Don’t be shock when I hit you okay? It means someone’s around.”

He nodded and took my hand.

“Hey, I need my hand to study.”

“Okay.” He released it and took my left hand.

“Yah…”

“You can write with your right hand.” he placed my hand on his cheek. “So warm.”

I his hair with my other hand. “Hush, just sleep okay?”

-

While Mia was reading her book, she didn’t know that she was actually being watched.

Little did she know she was actually being followed all the time.

“This isn’t supposed to happen!” Jin Ah screamed behind the shelves.

“So they were really dating?” Ji Yeon, one of her follower asked.

“Shut up will you?” Jin Ah snapped.

“Looks like being nice to her doesn’t work. I thought she will be annoyed and confess, but she didn’t!”

Soo Jung, another follower asked, “So what are we going to do now?”

Jin Ah clenches her fist as she saw Jin Young tickling Mia’s stomach.

“Girls” she said. ”How about we have some fun. It’s been a while, isn’t it?”
