With a sigh, Siyeon looked over the data, which Mao had send her. It was a report about Ísos and another report about Mageíya with light as their main element and what they were capable of. The latter was a bit more interesting for Siyeon since she still wasn't quite sure what she could do.
A sentence sparked her interest even more. Mageíya with lightning as their main ability could control and create lightning, which was for hard for other Mageíya.

Siyeon remembered that the others had told her that as she had been kidnapped and as they had found her, a field of sparkling light had protected her. Had it been electricity?
“What are you sulking about?”
Surprised, Siyeon looked up, instinctively closing the files she had opened before. “Rui.” The black haired young man sat down in front of her, in his arms a whole stack of books.

“I'm not sulking about anything. Just... learning.” He raised his brow but didn't say anything further and simply watched her. “So, you survived that night.”
A laugh came over Siyeon's lips and she put her laptop away. “Why does it sound like you think that they would kill me any time soon?”
Rui did not laugh. He was completely serious as he answered, “Because they can.” Of course, they could. They never did it though.

“They aren't bad, Sehun and his friends.”

Even though he attended school late, Siyeon was sure that he knew how dangerous the children of the council members could be. “But they are still deadly.”
Serious, so serious but somehow, Siyeon felt quite comfortable around him. She had noticed that the people avoided him, despite his handsomeness, which Siyeon didn't understand. She felt at ease around him, which was pretty strange and she still doubted that feeling a bit.

“Yeah... they sure are but Rui, do you dislike them this much?”

He cocked his brow at her question, showing her that she had asked the wrong question. “I am just careful around them, nothing else.”
Sometimes Siyeon got the impression that Rui was overly careful with the way he acted and talked but then again he looked so aloof.

“Why do you need so many books?” she asked to change the topic and pointed at the books, which piled up in front of her. “Mr. Han said that I have to catch up a lot since I missed the first half of the year. Well... it all stands in these books and I have to write a test in three weeks.”
Siyeon's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. That sounded like an impossible task!
“Is Mao serious?” she called out and shook her head. “Yes, he is. But... well, it's fine. It's not difficult.”

A sigh came over her lips and she grabbed one of those books to look through it. “Do you need help?”
He seemed a bit surprised by her question but then he shook his head. “No, thank you. I don't think that you will be able to help me, considering that you didn't even know of our society until you started to attend this school.”
The slight smile on his face was a bit irritating and Siyeon didn't know if she should feel offended or not.
“Don't take my words too serious. I think you have enough to worry about, right?”

Few of the books suddenly fell from the desk and one of them nearly fell into a puddle of dirt and water. Someone chuckled as Rui bent over to pick it up. The rest of the books suddenly fell down and the whole thing seemed quite fishy since none of the books had laid weirdly.
