Two MoonsThe rush started at the early morning. Cars arrived, people got off and headed towards the college immediately. It was loud and full but there was a strange happy and up lifting. There were smiles on most of the students' faces and even on their family members.
Siyeon didn't invite her parents. They were normal humans and she didn't want them to get involved with the politics and danger of the mageíyan world.
Since many actually dressed up, Siyeon had done the same. She wore a black skirt with a white shirt with a black collar. Luckily she didn't stand out too much and could move around without anyone staring at her.
From afar she could see Jooyeon and someone from whom Siyeon guessed that it was her father. Taking another way that would lead her away from Jooyeon.
“Siyeon,” Rui said silently. Startled, she whirled around. “Oh god, you startled me,” she sighed and he gave her a sorry smile.
He was always like a silent shadow, her silent shadow but it still was creepy that he could move so silently. “Shall we walk around together? You seem a bit lonely.”
She couldn't walk around with Mao since he had to patrol around and because he still was a teacher. Kai and the others probably were with their families and the others as well.
“Sure, why not, but why are you not with your parents?”
The words came over her lips before she had thought about them and she felt quite dumb all of sudden. “My past is as cloudy as yours. I don't think the people who raised me are my real parents.”
His voice broke a bit, and for the first time she saw something vulnerable in him. “I feel you. Sorry, I talked without thinking,” she muttered and he smiled. “I know and no offense taken. It's stressing for all of us, even for Pýr. He doesn't show it much though.”
He patted her shoulder lightly before he gave her a slight push to another direction. They headed out of the crowd to a smaller garden where only a few people were.
“We are really mysterious, huh? I swear, if this all ends, I will go on a long vacation to somewhere else were no Mageíya is.”
Rui gave her an amused look but he raised his brow. “Well, you know that Pýr and I probably will be go with you, right?” Ah right, there was something. Her Warriors.
“We can't leave you alone, you know that.” A sigh came over Siyeon's lips and she stopped walking. “Rui, you are taking this whole Master-warrior thing a bit too serious. You are not tools, you are normal people to me. You are free to do whatever you want.”
He suddenly stepped closer, a faint smile on his face. “I know. I know. But this is something I would do on my own because you are precious to me.”
Strange shivers ran down Siyeon's spine and she couldn't look him into the eyes. With his fingers, he softly lifted up her face again and his smile widened a bit. “You look really cute when you are embarrassed.”
Someone suddenly pulled her back. A strong arm laid around her neck, the gesture very familiar to her. “Oh stop talking all mushy, dickhead. It's ing embarrassing.”
An amused glimmer appeared in Rui's eyes but his expression returned to his usual inexpressive mask. “I don't think this is none of your concern whether I talk all mushy or not.”
Pýr only rolled his eyes, and he pulled Siyeon's hair softly. “And you? Why do you let him talk like that? Rui is a damn soldier, not some washed down Casanova.”
The picture of Pýr as the always nagging father came up intro Siyeon's mind and it made her smile. “What were you guys talking about anyways?”
Strangely, Pýr sounded a bit possessive but mayb
