Two MoonsHis words made her frown heavily while she thought about what he just had said. His usual appearance was really cold, not necessarily arrogant but very, very cold and rather distanced to everyone besides his friends. The Sehun in his core world was... really different though. There still was a slightly cold aura around him but he seemed gentler and softer.
The core world was the center of a Mageíya's power but somehow Siyeon got the feeling that it was way more than just that. Kai had mentioned that she herself needed to give her core world something personal, a certain character, which would make her core unique and her own. Something... suddenly, Siyeon knew what both Sehun and Kai had tried to say with that. The core world was not only the center of a Mageíya's power, it also was something that had to do with the Mageíya itself.
“The core world does not only is the center but it also correlates with the character of a person?” she guessed and Sehun nodded. “Right guess. The core world is built along with your personality and not only that, your core world also shows a part of your true character and that's always like that. You can hide it, of course, it is your own core world after all, but here you are much more yourself than you pretend in the real world.” Sehun seemed to be more relaxes and less tense as well and somehow a bit... sad, though Siyeon couldn't quite tell if it really sadness or not.
“So this means you are actually less of a jerk?” Siyeon couldn't hold back that comment, whereupon Sehun cocked a single brow. “Actually, yes, I guess. You know, it is hard to survive in our world. That doesn't mean you will die or something like that but yeah, it is hard. A soft-sided person is more likely to be ridiculed than a person who looks tough.”
That was a reasonable answer and it also would explain why he behaved like he behaved. “Since when have you learned to be like this?” Her question was a whisper and this time, Sehun's expression turned sad, though he smiled a bit. “Since I was a little child. I needed to... because of my family and our society.” Shudders ran down Siyeon's spine because she somehow, and very slowly, got a picture of how archaic the society of the Mageíya was. “It wonders me that you never realized that you have changed as well, every time you entered your core world.” It surprised her that he said something like that because she really hadn't noticed any change in her personality. “You become nosier and more open, less calm and collected, if we don't take yesterday into account, of course.”
No, Siyeon really never has realized it but it was good to know it now. “Then why are you not like this in... well, the real world?”
With a sigh, Sehun sat down on the edge of the huge window right under the dome, his legs dangling in the air freely. “It's not easy to put a part of yourself away that you have kept for over the half of your life already and besides it, I rather keep that up because actually...” in split of seconds Sehun grabbed her leg and pulled it away. At first, Siyeon feared that she would fall down the edge but he had sat her down as well, her bottom barely sitting on the edge, “... even though I am nicer here doesn't that mean that I am actually a nice person. You never should make the mistake to assume that Mageíyas are nice people. Even Hikari and Matsuda can be very cruel, and I know the better than you do.”
It was hard to believe and imagine that Hikari would be like him, Jooyeon or Mori. Matsuda, yes, because Siyeon always had known that he was more than he seemed to be. But Hikari seemed to be such a soft and kind person, and maybe sometimes a bit too kind for her own good. “You will learn it because you learn very fast.” The kind aura had disappeared around him but now, as he let go of her leg, it returned slowly. With a fast beating heart, Siyeon watched Sehun drawing back slowly. Would he had pulled her off the edge? Something told her that he maybe would have done that but at the same time something else told her that he wouldn't have.
“I wouldn't have pulled you down... well, maybe I would have if you were someone else.” A chuckle came over his lips and a smile lightened up his face a bit. “There is something on your mind. Speak it out loud, I won't bite you.” Why could Siyeon imagine him biting her so perfectly then?
“If you it is exactly the way you told me, does that mean that the others... are like that as well? I mean like being a bit two faced?” She wasn't quite sure how to express it and that was the first thing that came up in her mind. This time, Sehun's smile was strangely wry as he answered. “Aren't we all a bit two faced and wouldn't it be quite hypocritical to say that
