Project ZeloJongup is going to do something. Jongup is going to do something.
The thoughts ran through Youngjae's head as he paced erractically around the office, trying to find at least a little ounce of the sense he needed right now called reason. He was cut off from his panic at the sound of his phone vibrating in the regulation white jacket he had worn, previously used by Yongguk.
"Hello?" He croaked, trying to balance out his voice.
"Youngjae, it's your mother."
"Mom? What's the problem?"
"It's your sister. She's back in hospital..the doctor said it isn't good."
Youngjae froze.
"Usually it's never good if you are in a hospital." Youngjae retorted, cursing violently in his head.
Something had to go wrong right now, it seemed like it was fated to do so. He was one of the last remaining staff on site, apart from the security. It's not like they could bring back the other three needed to have this place running smoothly. Youngjae knew that if he left, anything would happen.
"Youngjae, I don't need your sarcasm. They said it's pneumonia. You know her body won't be able to fight it off very well, she doesn't have a working immune system."
"I'm at work. What do you want me to do?"
"She's your sister and I expect you to come and see her."
And with that, she hung up on Youngjae who then contacted security.
"I need to go for an hour and I need full attention on this hospital. You make sure no one gets in and no one gets out." He named Zelo's room and his patient ID. "You pay special attention on him."
"Is there any particular reason, Dr. Yoo?"
"He's known to be violent and he seems restless."
Youngjae hissed when his phone cut out, the battery running flat. He slammed the handset firmly on the desk in anger and left the room. Soon enough, he found himself outside Zelo's room.
Youngjae all but kicked open the door which revealed an almost shocked Zelo who was on all fours, grinding down waxy crayon residue onto a plain piece of paper. Right now, he certainly did not look fifteen years old. Zelo acted the innocent child and bowed at the doctor who glared with burning eyes.
"Evening, hyung."
Youngjae snarled at him, grabbing him by the scruff of his gown.
"You are a ing curse, you know that?"
Zelo nodded, as if answering a very straightforward question. When he realised that he had given Youngjae a response that he did not expect to get, he laughed in the doctor's face, seeing through him like glass.
"Don't you have somewhere you need to be?"
Youngjae kept Zelo close to his face, his half crazed eyes darting from one of Zelo's own calm orbs to the other. Half crazed eyes that looked as if he hasn't slept in at least a week. Zelo knew that this was his fault. Zelo embraced it, because in the end, he was convinced things would turn out his way. If they didn't, someone would pay. Youngjae opened his mouth to speak, but closed it again, looking remarkably like a fish. Zelo spoke for him.
"When is Yongguk coming back for me? He's the only one who understands, after all."
"He's not."
"He will."
"Choi. Jun. Hong." He spat out the syllables. "One day you are going to regret this so much that all your walls will burn down around you. You will be nothing. And it will kill you."
"Not if it kills Gukkie first." Junhong sang.
