Goodbye
Project Zelo"Zelo, are you ready to go?"
The young boy looked confused.
"You're getting fostered, remember?"
Zelo's eyes widened. Clearly he had not been informed. Yongguk let his protective guard drop drastically, letting his eyes bore into Zelo's widened glacial orbs. The doctor waited a couple of painstakingly long seconds for Zelo to collect his mash of thoughts.
"What?"
Yongguk swallowed the lump in his throat.
"We don't have any more reason to keep you here. You're healthy enough to rebuild your life independantly so Jongup found you an experienced family to help support you until you can get there. It's a remarkable opportunity, not many kids like you have a chance like this in their entire lives."
"I'm not going."
Yongguk placed his hand on Zelo's shoulder in support, but he just squirmed in response.
"Hyung! You told Junhong you wouldn't leave him. I was promised."
"I never promised you anything."
"You said no one would hurt Junhong. What if Junhong gets hurt? What if Junhong hurts someone again?"
"I can't baby you."
"Do you not like us? Junhong thought we were friends.."
"I get paid. It was always for the money."
Yongguk bit his tongue to stop the croak from edging up his traitorous throat. Junhong didn't utter another word, instead his body shook as tears fell from his face onto the cold hard floor he slipped down to. Yongguk heard a quick rap at the door which then opened.
"The couple are here." Jongup smiled at the scene, not phased by Yongguk's slightly pink face and Zelo's being on the floor. Yongguk glared at the remorseless man who quickly ducked out of the room.
Junhong grinned at Yongguk.
"You shouldn't lie."
"What am I lying about?"
The boy got to his feet quickly and made himself look presentable. "It was never for the money. We both know that you have more than enough money to play around with."
"That's beyond the point. I'm not a liar."
"Maybe it's not your lips that lie, but your eyes. Or your mind."
Junhong winked and swiftly left.
He was gone.
By the time Yongguk had let himself consider what the boy had said, he looked out of the window to see him. Zelo. He saw the couple too. Both stern faced and grey haired, though the shining glint in their eyes were youthful. Strict, but children at heart. Anyone could see that they were good people.
"I suppose it's good for him then." He said aloud.
Behind him, Jongup cleared his throat. "It's good for you, too."
