Falling in love.

That feeling never really get Jimin at all. Not until she met Kim Minjeong.

It was during first half of her university year when Minjeong has accidentally bumped into her at the hallway. Jimin gasped and was about to ask if she was okay when Minjeong beats her into it.

". Are you all right?" Minjeong asked in a very worried tone but at the same time she's checking her watches and was frowning.

"Uh, look, I am really really sorry. I am running late for my class now and- Oh god, I really gotta go. I'll apologise properly the next time I see you okay! See you around!"

Jimin blinked her eyes in confusion and just watched Minjeong ran out of her sight. Later on, she found out that Minjeong was a new student there. She gained attention quickly as she was friends with Ning Yizhuo and Aeri Uchinaga, the popular pair who were also social butterfly. Jimin's friend, Ryujin who happened to be friends with them too has informed Jimin and their other friends about it.

"Dancing has never felt this intense before." Yeji grunted and lays flat on the floor. 

Jimin smiled seeing her friends whining for being so tired. They were inside the dance studio, practicing as the dance team in the university.

"Now I understand why Ms Hyoyeon chose you as the leader." Yeji said.

"Right." Chaeryeong agreed while the others nodded their head.

"But uh, please spare us next time." The other member, Yuqi commented. She was sharing a bottle of water with her best friend, Shuhua.

"Come on guys, it's not that bad. It was just a warm up." Jimin said.

"Excuse me?! That was a warm up? Please kill me already." Shuhua deadpanned while the rest of them just laughed at her dramatic antics.

Jimin was about to reply to her when the door was opened and there, they saw Ryujin was coming in with a silly grin on her face.

"Here comes the troublemaker." Yeji mumbled.

"Hi guys! Miss me?" Ryujin asked and winked causing the junior in the dance team to giggle while the older members only rolled their head.

"Yes Ryu? Why are you here this late?" Jimin asked.

"Oh, I'm here with- wait, where is she?" 

They only watched how Ryujin went out again and heard some murmurs and a cute whine until Ryujin entered again, this time holding someone in with her. Jimin recognised her right away. Of course. The girl who never left her mind since the day she bumped into her.

"I'm here to show Minjeong what is the dance team doing during practice." Ryujin said and everyone groaned after that, saying they just drained their energy with Jimin's crazy warm up.

"No, it's okay. I can watch another time." Minjeong said and was smiling sweetly to everyone.

Jimin hummed and looked at her team, she raised her eyebrows when everyone's glaring at her.

"You're lucky you are the leader, so we have no choice but to listen to you." Yeji grumbled but still stood up, calling for everyone's attention to get ready.

"Thanks, you're such a good assistant." Jimin said and patted Yeji's shoulder. She then asked Yeji to choose whichever song they wanted to dance to and won't comment anything about which lifted up her mood and the others instantly.

"Ryujin, you should dance along and show Minjeong yourself too." Jimin said.

"Oh, sure!" Ryujin ran towards Yeji and suggested what song she has in her mind.

Jimin then approached Minjeong who was still standing near the door alone.

"Hi."

Minjeong's eyes widened as she tilted her head.

"Oh my god, I remember you. I'm really sorry for the last time."

Jimin was surprised that Minjeong remembered her but she smiled nonetheless.

"Ah that, that's fine. Don't worry about it. How did you find the university so far?" Jimin asked and gestured her to follow her to the corner of the room.

"It's fun. I like it here." Minjeong answered.

"I'm glad."

They stopped talking when the team announced that they were ready to dance. Minjeong watched them with awe and clapped her hands in excitement seeing how good they were.

"Why weren't you dancing too, Jimin?"

"You know my name?"

"I basically know everyone's name. You know, when you are friends with Ning and Aeri."

Jimin chuckled and nodded in acknowledgement.

"So, you want to see me dance? Not the team?"

"Just want to know how great the Yoo Jimin is. Everyone's always praising you here and there so yeah, got me curious about you."

"About me or my dancing skill?"

"Hm. Maybe both?"

Minjeong turned her head to look at Jimin who was already staring at her. Jimin had this tiny smirk on her face and Minjeong gulped nervously. Her heart unconsciously skipped more beats than usual.

"You are really an honest person." Jimin said.

"I just- yeah." 

"Ahem! I really hope you watched us, Minjeong." They were interrupted by Ryujin's loud voice. Jimin looked at Ryujin who was wriggling her eyebrows at Minjeong then she saw the looks on her friends' face. From then, it clicked. Ryujin brought Minjeong there to see her.

"Practice's over." Jimin announced and dismissed everyone. She turned to Minjeong who pouted beside her.

"Hey."

"Huh?"

"You can come and watch us practice anytime."

"Really?"

"Yes but there were times when I couldn't be here too so don't get disappointed when I'm not here. I'll see you around okay." Jimin smiled and left her speechless there.

That was when Minjeong realized that Jimin knows.

"My god." Minjeong covered her face with her palm.

Minjeong successfully became friends with Jimin after that. They usually hung out together when their friends decided to bond with one another. In just 4 months, Minjeong grew closer with Jimin. The two of them were so comfortable when they were together. Everyone can see how Minjeong is slowly becoming a part of Jimin as Jimin lets her in fully.

It has come to everyone's knowledge too that Minjeong is crushing on Jimin openly. Well, Minjeong was being too obvious with her admiration. She got jealous when Jimin got confessions from someone else or when someone tried to flirt with her. She sulked when Jimin lets her fans get close to her, thinking that maybe Jimin likes them too.

Just like now, Minjeong have been ignoring Jimin since two days ago when their senior, Kai asked her out for a date in front of other students. Minjeong just happened to be there and she saw how Jimin smiled and asked to talk to him privately causing the others to cheer on them as Kai only smiled shyly following Jimin to go somewhere else.

"She seems to be having so much fun." Yeji said when she noticed Jimin have been staring at Minjeong at the other end of the hall. 

It was the annual party for their university's anniversary. All of the students and professors attended the party, looking all good with their chosen dresses and suits. And oh, Minjeong looks magnificent in her sparkling black dress with her long black hair now dyed into ash grey color.

"Did you say yes to Kai?" Yeji asked when she just saw Kai has finally arrived. People are looking at him and Jimin expectantly.

Jimin ignored the stares and does not even spare Kai a glance as she was busy observing Minjeong who's pouting now, mumbling something at Ning and Aeri who only shakes their head at her and pats her back.

"I don't find a reason to." Jimin answered Yeji before excusing herself. People thought she is going to Kai as he waved at her. Jimin only nods her head once at him and continues to saunter at Minjeong's direction who is still have not aware of her coming closer.

"Hi." Jimin greeted and Minjeong looks at her in surprised while the couple smirked seeing Jimin was finally there.

"Hello, Jimin." Aeri greeted her back while Ning only smiled at her, still clinging on Aeri's arm.

"Is it okay if I borrow Minjeong for a while?" Jimin asked.

"Oh sure, you can have her all you want." Aeri said playfully and laughed when Minjeong glared at her.

"We'll leave her to you but if I see any scratches on her, you know that you're allowing me to bury you alive." Aeri said, smiling at Jimin. Jimin chuckled at her threat but still nods her head at her.

"What do you want?" Minjeong asked, sighing in boredom after the couple left them alone.

"Can we talk?"

"We are talking right now."

Minjeong then moved to the dessert table and her eyes sparkles seeing many types of dessert was served.

"Why aren't you with your boyfriend?" Minjeong asked in bitterness as she taps her chin, looking at the two desserts in front of her.

"I didn't know that I have one." Jimin said, amused with Minjeong's behaviour.

"Sure." Minjeong replied and took a tiny piece of chocolate cake, eating it right away. She hums in satisfaction.

"Is it good?" Jimin asked.

"Mhm." Minjeong then saw Kai behind Jimin. Jimin saw how her face turned sour so she takes a look and sighs seeing Kai is smiling at her.

"Hi Jimin." He greeted her.

"Hi."

"Are you getting some dessert?" Kai asked, trying to make a conversation with her.

"No, I am just here to accompany Minjeong." Jimin said, making sure he is aware of Minjeong's presence.

"Oh, Hi Minjeong." Kai greeted her too.

"Hey." Minjeong smiled awkwardly and waved before trying to walk away but Jimin was fast to grab her arm to stop her.

"Where are you going now?" Jimin asked.

"I want to get a drink. You guys can go on."

"Thank-"

"I promised your friends that I'll take care of you." Jimin said, cutting off Kai.

"I... I'm okay, I'm not a child anymore." Minjeong rolled her eyes.

"Sure you're not but..." Jimin paused and leaned closer to wipe a chocolate stain on the corner of her lips using her thumb. 

"You're still such a baby to me." Jimin said then showed her thumb.

"I am not." Minjeong glared and was about to wipe the chocolate on Jimin's thumb with her own finger but Jimin pulled her hand away.

"It's fine." Jimin said and her thumb clean.

"Sweet." Jimin winked and Minjeong blushed but she remembered Kai was still there.

"I can just wait over there while you guys talk." Minjeong said and Jimin has had enough of her thinking that Jimin prefers Kai over her.

"Look, Kai. I told you, we can't go out together. I am not interested." Jimin said to kai, holding Minjeong's wrist and makes sure she stays close behind her and not going anywhere else without her.

"But, I haven't-"

"I know. I'm making this easy for you and I. I don't like you that way, won't ever be, even if you want to court me to make me like you. I have someone else in mind already. I hope you understand."

"Wha- what? Who?"

"Isn't it obvious. It's this clueless Kim behind me." Jimin said.

"Eh??" Minjeong tilted her head from Jimin's shoulder to look at her in a surprise face.

"O-oh. I-"

"Please, I would appreciate it if you will leave us alone now." Jimin told Kai.

"I... I understand. I'm sorry to bother you, I- yeah, I'll leave you two alone now." Kai smiled awkwardly and scratces his head in embarassment.

"Yah, you cannot use me like that to reject someone." Minjeong hit Jimin's shoulder.

Jimin scoffed and turned around.

"Really now? I never use you, Kim Minjeong."

"Woah, wait. Why are you angry at me?"

"I'm not angry but I am frustrated."

"Why?"

"Because I like you and you cannot see it."

"..."

Minjeong blinked her eyes stepped back, she scanned Jimin's face before she frowned.

"Since when?" Minjeong asked.

"The day you bumped into me." Jimin answered and Minjeong gasped.

"Are you for real?!" Minjeong asked that out loud, gaining some attention.

"Of course."

"No, I don't believe you. You're saying this because I'm still sulking on you and you are trying to get me talking to you again." 

"What?" Jimin laughed and pulled Minjeong into her arms. She tightened her hold when Minjeong protest. 

"Can you keep still, Minjeong?" 

"You're annoying." 

"But you like me." 

"Yeah and you still hurt me knowing that I like you." 

"Not my fault that someone's too shy to confess." 

"I am literally saying it now." 

"Only after I've said it first." 

"Wait, you really do?" Minjeong pulls away to look at Jimin. 

"I do. You are the reason why I keep rejecting everyone else. I am waiting for you to finally confess to me but well... I think I'll have to wait forever for that so that's why I'm telling you first that I, Yoo Jimin, is in love with you." 

Minjeong gasped and tried to pinch her own cheeks. Jimin only watched her, amused at her reaction again. Jimin chuckled when Minjeong tried to pinch her cheek then but she put Minjeong's hands around her neck before hugging her waist. 

"No you are not dreaming. This is real. I like you, Kim Minjeong. Please accept my confession. I've had enough of keeping my feelings to myself. I'm letting you know now so please tell me that we're on the same page." 

"Damn, I wouldn't even want to wake up anymore if this is a dream." Minjeong muttered. 

"Then don't. I want this." Jimin said and cupped Minjeong's face lovingly. 

"I don't know how to be romantic but... I hope I can still make your heart fly. Minjeong ah, would you like to be my girlfriend?" 

Minjeong raised her eyebrows before scoffing as she looks away. 

"What's with that reaction?" Jimin asked, frowning. 

"You!" 

"Huh?" 

"I was literally still sulking on you and I am mad here. You can't just drop your confession out of nowhere and ask me out like that. I mean, how am I going to continue sulking if you do this to me?" Minjeong pouted. 

"Why do you want to continue sulking?" Jimin laughed. 

"Well it's because of you!" 

Jimin laughed harder but then she kissed Minjeong's nose causing Minjeong to blush but still pouting. 

"All right. My sulky Minjeong." 

"I am not yours yet."

"I am confident that you will never say no to me."

"Ugh." 

Jimin hugged her tightly and rubbed her back soothingly. 

"Hush. Don't sulk anymore. I'm sorry for taking too long. Now, let's date and be happy together. Isn't that a great idea?" 

"I still want a proper proposal." Minjeong mumbled as her hands finally hugged Jimin back. 

"Yes ma'am! Your wish is my command. Tomorrow at 7pm, wear a dress. I'll prepare everything. Sounds good?" 

"Are you going to ask me properly then?" 

"Yes."

"More romantic than just now?" 

"Yes." 

"Make it very official?" 

"Definitely. So I can call you my baby already." 

"Mkay." 

"Okay?" 

"Yea." 

"Now, would you smile for me?" Jimin asked and pulled away to look at her. Minjeong gave her a small smile. 

"Pretty. Cannot wait for you to be my girlfriend officially by tomorrow." Jimin grinned. Minjeong finally laughed hearing that and Jimin cheered in her head seeing Minjeong has stopped sulking. 

"I cannot wait too."
