Winter Kim was focusing on the computer screen while her mind was flying somewhere far, that she did not hear a knock and someone entered her office room.

"I thought my best friend is going to fetch me at the airport."

Winter looked up and saw Ning Yizhuo, the hottest model from their company, she was famous globally too. 

"Ning!" Winter glanced at the time on her computer screen and smiled apologetically at Ning.

"You lost track of time again, didn't you?"

"I'm sorry."

Ning pouted, but went to her and opened her arms. Winter laughed, standing up to hug the younger girl. Ning sighed and giggled as she swayed their body.

"I missed you."

"Me too."

"Do I have to do this for a long time?"

"Well, this is your dream." Winter reminded her.

Ning laughed. Winter was a big help to her. She was the one who never stopped to encourage her in pursuing her dream career. Modelling was all Ning has ever wanted to do since she was still a kid. Her parents were not really supportive of her dream, but Winter was always there to assure her that her dream was wonderful.

She wouldn't be here if it was not because of Winter's full support.

"And I am living my dream." Ning grinned which made Winter laughed.

"Let's have our lunch together, my treat." Winter said.

"Only if I can order anything."

Winter rolled her eyes at that. 

"Yes, anything."

"You're the best! Let's go!"

The two of them walked out together and some of the employees greeted them and squealed when Ning smiled. 

"I'm so famous." Ning flipped her hair.

"Yeah, yeah." Winter shook her head fondly.

"Since when did your taste change to a fancy one?" Ning teased when Winter brought her to one of Uchinaga's popular five star restaurants.

There were not many people as the restaurants have a lot of outlets, and Winter chose this specific outlet that seems private and more cozy to avoid the attention for the sake of Ning. 

"It's not the price or their mains, but their desserts. You should try their desserts, they served the best ones in town." Winter sighed dreamily.

"Ugh. You and desserts. Why am I not surprised?"

"Uh huh." Winter chuckled.

"So, how's you and Jeno? I saw an article about the previous event, you two looks... too professional."

"It's our image, Ning. We can't be all lovey dovey. We don't want people to suspect Jeno is being biased at work just because I'm his girlfriend."

"Yes, but he have been trying to get a little touchy with you when you're in public. Poor him."

"I've given him enough affection behind the closed doors, don't worry about him getting lack of it."

"Ohhhh. Really? Tell me about it? Have you guys, well... You know..." Ning wiggled her eyebrows and Winter laughed, knowing what she meant.

"Ning. Please. No, we haven't."

Ning let out a dramatic gasp and covered with her palms.

"Five years of being together, no action yet? Don't you think he will find someone else? Jeno is not that bad looking, you know. Girls will throw themselves willingly to him."

"No. Jeno is loyal to me. He hasn't changed at all, and he respects me." Winter smiled.

"If I remember it correctly, he does get upset and sulked on you when you first rejected his advance to go on to the next level of your relationship."

"Ning! Oh my god. I shouldn't have told you." Winter grumbled.

"What??"

"We've moved on from that, okay? I've explained to him that I'm not ready for that yet, and he understands after we talked. He said he will wait, and look, he stays."

"Yeah. Okay. Good for you. I'm surprised that he is quite a gentleman." Ning nodded her head slowly.

"He is." Winter smiled.

After catching up a little, they have finally made their orders and started eating. Halfway eating, Ning excused herself to go to the restroom. 

While Winter was sitting alone, someone who just came in, saw her and decided to approach her. 

"A pleasure to bump into you in this lovely restaurant."

Winter looked up and frowned seeing Karina, already smiling at her with her black sunglasses. 

"Are you here alone?"

"No, I'm eating with my best friend. Go find another table." Winter told her coldly.

Karina ignored her, and grabbed a chair from the next table to sit beside her. 

"This is a table for two." Winter glared.

"I don't need a table, I just need a chair. And look, I got it." Karina answered smartly as she took off her sunglasses. 

"So, Winter, I've sent you a request to follow you on Instagram. Have you been busy? Kindly check your Instagram and accept me."

"No."

"Ouch. Why are you so mean to me, sweetheart?"

Winter glared at her again and Karina only smiled at her.

"Should I send you another bouquet-"

"Don't! Don't you ever dare. I don't want Jeno to know."

"Oh. I don't care about him though."

"He's my boyfriend!"

"Not for long." Karina smirked.

"What?" Winter narrowed her eyes.

"Before you misunderstand me again. No, I don't want him. I want you, sweetheart." Karina stated.

Winter opened to say something, but Ning came back already. She was surprised to see Karina there. 

"Uh, I'm back." Ning said awkwardly, sitting down again on her seat.

"Hello? My best friend is back, would you leave us now?" Winter asked and looked to the front at Ning who widened her eyes at her and tilting her head towards Karina. Winter only shrugged, ignoring Karina's stares.

"I will leave if you give me your number."

"No."

"Why?"

"Just no."

"Does that mean you want me here?"

Winter hissed and glared angrily at her. Karina chuckled and stood up, but bends down with one hand on Winter's chair's backrest and another hand on the table.

"You might say no to me now, but I'll make sure I'll get all of your yes in the future." Karina said.

She glanced at Ning, took note of the model being Winter's best friend.

"Good to see you, Ning Yizhuo." Karina greeted her and Ning bowed her head politely.

Karina then looked back at Winter who was crossing her arms now, not looking at Karina at all. 

"Until next time, sweetheart." Karina whispered.

She took one grape from Winter's plate, which made Winter look at her. Karina winked as she munched on the fruit, satisfied that she made Winter look at her before she left.

"Okay. What. Was. That?!" Ning set aside her food and leaned her body forward, eager to know what's going on between her best friend and the well known, successful and gorgeous CEO that everyone have been dying to date.
