"Whoah."

A traditional Korean eating house was the sight the surprised us when we got to the next set, another village. A near-the-woods part at least. It gave us a feeling of a park or something of that sort, and truthfully, everyone in the set was amazed. Even JongHyun Sunbae, who was walking beside me, was no exception.

"Omona..." he whispered as we climbed up the stairs and found ourselves inside the beautiful infrastructure. I can't believe a lunch would be set in here. and what's more... it's for us. I couldn't believe my eyes as people in hanboks led us to sit down in front of exquisite korean cuisine. Everyone politely took their chopsticks and said their graces.

"Please, help yourselves. I know everyone had been tired. Especially our leading lady here..." Our director began, before tapping my shoulder gently.

"For everybody's knowledge, this is the second video she will be creating as a transition for her second debut. I hope everyone understands that having a debut in three parts isn't easy." The director continued to tell us. I looked at the people and tried to hide my smile as I saw them nod.

At least they understand how I feel.

"And we know of course how the concept of the videos go. Selene-sshi will be playing a girl frustrated over the loss of her former boyfriend's love for her. And her best friend for this video will be played by SHINee's Kim JongHyun..." He continued, now looking at a smiling JongHyun Sunbae, sitting beside me.

But the next words that came from the director erased the smile on his face.

"And for the role of the bestfriend's new girl to be realistic, we have asked JongHyun-sshi's girlfriend, Shin SeKyung-sshi, to film for the video!"

And I myself can't believe it.

A shy-smiling Shin SeKyung-sshi appeared in front of us. JongHyun Sunbae almost dropped his chopsticks. I held onto mine tightly with my left hand before tapping him gently with the right. But he was frozen.

And truthfully, I am too. For I had lots of questions in my head.

Why did she agree?

"Please, SeKyung-sshi, you can sit beside JongHyun-sshi." The director told her, leading her to the oher empty spot beside JongHyun Sunbae. He tried his best not to lose cool, and being the good actor he really is, he managed to smile and act like he and SeKyung-sshi are still together.

Why can she still smile?

"In our second set, we'll be filming on the beach, this is where the last scenes of Selene-sshi and JongHyun-sshi will take place. She'll just be saying a few lines, and so will JongHyun-sshi. After that, we'll see the dark transformation of Selene-sshi." The director discussed still as now, SeKyung-sshi was taking her own set of chopsticks and eating. Not one word was exchanged between her and JongHyun Sunbae, and there I was sure that they didn't know how to act.

How can she act like this to him?

I continued eating until I finished the food on my plate, and finally finding the reason to leave, I stood up. All eyes were on me, yet I still smiled at them, saying my excuse then running out of the eating house.

"I have to change clothes for the next scene. Plus, I'll be doing my languages homework. Excuse me..."

As I ran out of the eating house, I left new conversations behind. The fun still continued inside, not that I wanted to be a part of it. I continued to go to HeeSung-ah's van, opening the door and looking for my next attire. I looked into my own bag and found the notebook for my language assignment in French and English. I left the door open and hanged my next attire on the van handle located above the van door.

Deciding that I'd attend to my homeworks first, I went out and decided to walk around the area. The assignments still rang clearly in my head.

"Create a coded message in English. And, introduce yourself, your proffesion and preferences in French."

I said my homeworks out loud as I continued walking. Okay, let me formulate the introductions first.

Hmmm... I'll be saying 'Hello' to everybody, so I'll greet them, then I'll tell them my name. Then, I tell my proffession, not missing out that I am also a student of French. Then, I'll tell my preferences. I love music and theater, so I'll say that. Then, I tell them my dislikes. I hate pain.

Okay, so I guess that would be enough. Hmmm. Let's see if I can say it properly...

"Bonjour! Monsieur, Madamoiselle, Madame, Je m'appelle Shirin Song. Je suis chanteuse et actrice. Je suis etudiant de Francais aussi. J'adore la musique et theatre, mais, je deteste..."

Wait. What's 'pain' in French again?

Is it "la douleur" or "douleur"? Argh. I forgot..

I already heard it from my online teacher once...

"Hey."

I quickly turned around to find that a familiar face was approaching me.

Someone who left everyone after my disappearance earlier.

The one who now has me alone.

"JongHyun Sunbae..." I softly said as he walked towards me. I noticed that I was already a distance away from the van, and the sun was covered by clouds. But it wasn't going to rain anytime soon. It was still a fair afternoon.

"What were you saying earlier? I couldn't make sense of even a single word except your first and last name, which was surprisingly interchanged." He told me, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Well, it's French. I have to write the statements I said. I told you guys earlier that I have homeworks so I have to do it. But I can't do it with people distracting me." I just said, not bothering to notice his look. He's been carrying a sad smile since the moment I said 'But...'

"Oh, I see. Well, according to the director, Kyung-ah and I will be doing the scenes first so that you could rest. We'll be filming the confrontation scenes later." He told me, and I nodded before turning my back on him and walking away. But suddenly, I heard a thump behind me, and I turned.

It was JongHyun Sunbae, kneeling down in tears.

"Yah! Why are you crying?!" I asked him frantically, not saying anything else when I held him in my arms.

"ShiRin-ah. Please, don't leave me with her there. I can't handle it anymore. I need you with me..." He said, and as I felt his tears soak the fabric of my dress, I sighed.

"I think you should learn to stand up on your own Sunbae. You can't always depend on me. If you think I haven't noticed... I'm pretty sure that how you acted earlier was how you act when you're around her. I can feel it Sunbae... so stop it." I said, trying to resist as he shook his head in my embrace.

"No, ShiRin-ah." He whispered as I struggled to let go of him.

"Please, JongHyun Sunbae, at least learn how to stand by your words of goodbye. If she really isn't a part of you anymore, and you even plan to tell the whole world about it, then act like the man you are and stand by it!" I shouted all of a sudden, not liking how childish JongHyun Sunbae is right now. With that, he suddenly stopped crying.

My heart was in a constant battle against itself for the whole day. Every move that he's been making had me stopping in my tracks and thinking twice. Is he really just treating me like a friend? But, I know, just like what I told him, when I'm sure of something, it becomes the truth.

That's why, instead of asking him if he could still handle SeKyung-sshi without me, I asked something else.

"Sunbae. I know you don't have feelings for me. And I want to hear it from your lips right now. I think that the woman in your heart is still SeKyung-sshi, so please say it out loud. Is it still her?" I asked him, and he could only nod as an answer.

"Say it. Out loud, Sunbae." I repeated, trying to once again build a wall around myself, once again strengthening my resolve.

I am NOT in love with JongHyun Sunbae.

"Yes. I still love her."  He said while standing up, and I couldn't hide my smile.

"Very good. Now go, and cherish the last moments with her. If you plan to stand by your words of goodbye for real, then at least, take something for yourself before you go, right?" I asked him, and as his tears were replaced with a smile, I motioned him to go back.

Aish, why the hell did I ask him that? Now, he might think that I have a crush on him or whatever. I'm certainly, certainly SURE that I don't feel anything.

I certainly don't...

...right?

= = =

"So, this is the last scene, please say your lines aloud, JongHyun-sshi and ShiRin-sshi..." The director said before motioning the cameraman to start filming.

"Ready... ACTION!"

"So, you've found another one, huh?" I said, my fists clenching, tears threatening to overflow. I am holding on to the last of my resolve, of my mask, of my wall.

Just like I rehearsed.

This is the confrontation scene set for me, SeKyung-sshi, and JongHyun Sunbae. This is the final scene wherein JongHyun Sunbae and I would talk for the last time, and I would ask him if he found another one. He'd answer yes, but even before I would have a chance to speak, his girlfriend arrives, and he would introduce me to her. I will just smile and go along, but as they bid me goodbye, I will throw the bracelet that JongHyun Sunbae gave to me to the sand, cry, then open my eyes. I will get my phone and call up my friend and ask for help in her lifestyle makeover.

"Yeah. I'm sorry I had to leave you. I hope you understand." He told me, and as I was supposed to say "But..." SeKyung-sshi arrived.

"Jjong-ah!" She saod, wrapping her arms around JongHyun Sunbae who was now smiling much wider than how he smiled with me earlier today.

He really does love her a lot.

"Oh yeah, before I forget, Kyung-ah, this is Selene, my childhood friend." He said, motioning to me, and as I shook hands with SeKyung-sshi, she looked at me fiercely.

It was a look that told me something along the lines of "Don't get near my JongHyun-ah."

I just nodded, after all, everything happening was in the script.

"Hey, we'll go now, Selene-sshi. It was nice meeting you." SeKyung-sshi said, before walking away from where I stood, hand-in-hand with JongHyun Sunbae.

Just like in the script, I took the bracelet JongHyun Sunbae gave me when we were small, and threw it to the sand of the beach where we are filming, and let go of the tears that I've been holding in for so long.

"How can she be better than me?" I said, following the script. But as I heard the intro of 'He Said, She Said', my dark Selene debut song play through the speakers in the beach, I stood up quickly and took my phone, dialling a number.

I began walking away, not looking at the second camera now filming me as I walked.

"Yeobosaeyo, SaChi-yah? I think I need you right now. I want to go to the club tonight..." I said, now having an evil smirk across my face.

"AND CUT! Thank you everybody!" The director shouted, and everybody cheered as the filming officially came to an end.

"Thank you very much, Selene-ah for acting so well." The director told me, and I just thanked him for a job well done.

From the corner of my eye, I saw JongHyun Sunbae with an arm around SeKyung-sshi, looking like he'd bring her home. Well, SeKyung-sshi manager came with a car, so probably, he's gonna ride there.

Oh well, it's time to ride in HeeSung-ah's van now.

As I climbed onto the van, now breathing a sigh of relief as filming came to a close, I closed my eyes for a bit of rest.

But once again, a text message interrupted my plans.

I couldn't help but smile as I read it.
