The sound of Chorong’s casual high heels was heard clearly in Chanyeol’s silent office. She bent down slightly to put the files Chanyeol wanted on his desk.

“Thank you.” Chanyeol said, not sparing her a glance until he noticed…

Chorong was startled by his sudden fixed gaze on her. However, she showed professionalism by displaying her usual aloof face. She couldn’t control her emotion nonetheless. Her heart were beating abnormally fast around Chanyeol again.

“You look kind of hot today.” His lips curled up into a lopsided smile.

Chorong bowed her head down to check herself out. She looked up at Chanyeol and then bowed low at him.

“I’m sorry.” She hurriedly buttoned her white shirt. It wasn’t her intention to make Chanyeol pay attention to her. The day was literally too hot, even when she wore that thin piece of fabric.

Chanyeol shook his head, smiling at her playfully.

She left his office shortly after. Her heart was still beating fast. She heaved a sigh of relief when Chanyeol was out of sight. The air back then was tensed. Or it was just her thinking so.

“Chorong, why don’t you open up to me?” Chanyeol asked, looking at her intensely. He was barely inches away from her.

Chorong looked up to his face and gulped. She couldn’t utter a word. Chanyeol was too close to her, she couldn’t help but stare at his eyes, then his full lips.

“Chorong, answer me.” He commanded with his low voice. Oh how y it sounded to her ears.

“Chanyeol… Boss…” She stuttered when he leaned even closer, hugging her with his hands grabbing her waist line.

“Please… stop it.” She couldn’t even believe how fake that sentence turned out. She sounded like she wanted more.

Chanyeol roamed his hands down the waist and then they both rested on her cheeks. He slightly squeezed them. The movement was rather gentle yet it sent her a sudden sensation all over her body. She felt so hot all of a sudden.

“Chanyeol! Please!” She begged helplessly, her hands were pushing his chest to move away. But the attempt failed. Chanyeol brought her even closer. Their covered bodies were brushing against each other.

He locked her lips with his hungrily. Chorong couldn’t help but follow his rhythmic lips movements.

Chanyeol reached one of his hands on the upper button of her white shirt. He was about to it…

“This movie is so good.” Bomi said, giggling at the kiss scene on the laptop.

Chorong was pulled back to reality thanks to her roommate. She was holding the button on her shirt for quite a while now.

She sighed at her own imagination. When did she start imagining such thing with her director? She shook her head and stood up.

“Won’t you watch this with me?” Bomi whined, pausing the movie. The screenshot was of the passionate couple making out.

“I’m not into these kind of movies.” She said. It was true. She never liked rated mindless production. Her imagining things didn’t mean she liked the movie. But there was no denying that she liked Chanyeol. For quite a while now.

Her phone vibrated on the makeup desk.

“Yes, Mister Park?” Chorong addressed formally. She had no idea why he was calling her this time. It might be about business again. But she always expected something else.

“Stop calling me so. How long have we worked together, my secretary?”

“You are still my boss.” She replied reluctantly.

“Okay then. So you are Mrs. Park. I’ll call you that.” Chorong could hear his light snicker on the other line. She blushed at his words. Didn’t it sound like she was his wife?

“What are you calling me for?” Chorong brushed off the random topic Chanyeol brought up.

“We are on a small business trip in three days. It will more likely be a ball. So find a nice dress on you, okay?”

A ball. Chorong sighed at his playful choice of words.

“I got it.”

She hung up and quickly changed her clothes.

“Are you going out now?” Bomi asked, her eyes were still focusing on the movie.

“Yes. I’ll go shopping. Want to tag along?”

“Wait for me!”

“As expected, Chorong. You look gorgeous.” Chanyeol praised as he spared Chorong a quick look while they were at the room for businessmen.

Chorong murmured a thank but she avoided Chanyeol’s eyes. She tried to calm down around Chanyeol with her hands balling tightly on her thighs. They were sitting to rest a bit.

“I just spot my Byun friend. Can you wait a bit?” Chanyeol nodded at her and then stood up, leaving his seat.

“Hey there, you look lost. Are you coming here alone?” A strange man in tuxedo approached her. He looked about her age. His features made him look really handsome but his playful expression made her aware.

“I’m Kim Jongin. Nice to meet you.”

Chorong bowed at him a little. She stood up and was ready to leave when Jongin pulled her by her wrist.

“You haven’t said your name yet.”

She glared at the guy, yanking her wrist off his hold. Jongin seemed pissed off as he stood up and leaned close to Chorong.

“Shawty girl? I like it.”

“Hey.”

Chorong turned around and was so relieved at the sight of Chanyeol.

“Kim Jongin, my favorite partner. How are you?” Chanyeol greeted friendly although Chorong acknowledged it as being sarcastic.

Jongin looked at Chanyeol, annoyed.

“Park Chanyeol. I’m not in the mood for talking. Go.” He raised his voice and jerked his head.

“Okay. But I’ll go with her.” Chanyeol pulled Chorong to his side. She felt delighted as her hand was being held by his warm hand.

“You don’t have the right to mess with my hon.”

“Your hon.” Chanyeol snorted. “For god’s sake, I have custody over her. She’s my secretary.”

Jonging pursed up his lips. He murmured something then left.

Chanyeol turned to Chorong.

“Are you alright?”

She nodded, looking down. She felt like running away. But Chanyeol was still holding her hand. The sensation Chanyeol gave her was gone. She felt like yanking her hand again.

“Chorong…?” Chanyeol trailed off, concerned over Chorong’s face.

She shook her head continuously. But she knew her movement was too unconvincing.

The reality hit her so hard. To Chanyeol, she was a plain custody.

Right… She was just his worker. To her, he was everything. Yet to him, she was nobody.

She should stop loving alone. She should stop hurting alone.

“I have something to tell you.”

“Say it.” Chanyeol replied gently.

“I’ll resign from this job when we got back.”

Chanyeol widened his eyes.

“Why all of a sudden?”

A tear escaped her eye. It trailed down her blushing cheek.

“You don’t need to know.”

“What is it? Tell me, Chorong. Tell me so that-“

“I’m in love with you, okay!? I have been waiting for three years. I’m so clumsy. Why am I expecting so much! I should have known my limits!” Chorong burst out. She left Chanyeol speechless.

She didn’t regret saying so. Finally, she confessed to him. It was a one-sided love. And Chanyeol deserved to know the reason he wanted to hear.

“Wait. Chorong.” Chanyeol called from behind. She turned around only to meet his gaze. He was already in front of her. They were standing so close to each other.

“You don’t know how jubilant I am to hear this.”

He locked his lips with hers without a warning. She opened her eyes wide in shock. But after that, she gave in, feeling his lips on hers.

The kiss was million times better than any of her imaginations before.

the ending was rushy, I know omg. I am too sleepy so I can't help it. An please excuse me with that imagination scene lmao. I hope you didn't have second hand embarrassment with that cringy scene I wrote. This person can't write hot scenes so excuse her~~
