Scenerio: Chanyeol knows that he shouldn't propose to Krystal. He has been keeping that in mind. But just one mistake and it turns out a little unexpected at the end...

Chanyeol was waiting for the little kid to come out from the nursery. He rubbed his head upon being stared by a bunch of women around. They were whispering something about him and judging on their smiley faces, he could tell that they were praising him for being a good dad.
But he wasn’t a dad, to be correctly saying. The kid was his crush’ daughter. Today was his first day ever going to that nursery.
“Oh! You are here!” A tall, thin and rather tired-looking twenty seven year-old waved her hand as she walked to Chanyeol. She was smiling friendly at Chanyeol.
Chanyeol nodded his head and smiled back, his smile was toothy which made the woman bursted out chuckling a little. He was such a mood maker.
“I thought you were still lying on your bed, Soojung.” Chanyeol said as he carried her bag. She nodded as a thank and flipped her hair to her back again, showing her sweaty neck.
“The medicine you bought was really effective, I feel fine now.” Soojung informed, she tried to look for her daughter as the school ended with the bell ringtone.
“Mommy! Uncle Chanyeol!” Chanted a five year-old girl who was running on her short legs. She was tripping on a rock because her eyes were too focused on her mother and Chanyeol.
Luckily, with Chanyeol’s fast speed, he saved the girl on time. He swung the girl round and round making the girl laughing happily. The sight was beautiful to Soojung. She was smiling also, until someone talked in the back.
“Why didn’t her husband come but this ‘uncle Chanyeol’?”
“She must have divorced with the husband. Poor the little kid…” Soojung tried to calm down and she made her way out of the school gate, followed by Chanyeol and her daughter.
Chanyeol heard the women talk behind their back too. He felt sorry for deciding to pick the girl up. What was he thinking? He didn’t even consider about women’s talk and their gossips mastering.
“Don’t mind about them, Soohyun’s mother.” Chanyeol reassured Soojung who was staring to nowhere, her eyes not focused and her face looked sorrowful.
“Hey, Soojung.” Chanyeol called her for the second time. Soojung looked back at him and she forced out a smile. She then took Soohyun out of his hands and carried the girl in her arms. She kissed Soohyun’s cheek and went to her car.
“Thank you, Chanyeol. See you tomorrow!” Soojung said and Soohyun was waving at uncle Chanyeol too. Chanyeol just smiled back not knowing what to do but just hand Soojung her bag.
“Good bye!”
Chanyeol was lying on his bed. It was late midnight but he couldn’t go to sleep, his eyes were heavy but there was still something he wanted to go through with. He brought out a small red box. He clicked it open, revealing two beautiful couple rings. He smiled upon seeing them but then his smile faded quickly.
“You kept this box for five damn years already, Chanyeol.”
He then put the box inside his jacket which was next to him on his bed. He was always that messy and lazy. He had lived alone since his college years.
The next day he might wake up and put the box back to its right place.

“I want to see that snake right there, uncle Chanyeol!” Soohyun pleaded Chanyeol, her cute facial expressions and cute voice made Chanyeol smiled and nodded his head immediately. They were at the zoo with Soojung too. But the mother was scared of snakes so Soojung said no to Chanyeol who was pleading her to come with.
“You know me, Chanyeol. I’m afraid of snakes.” Soojung said, her face turned pale upon seeing the huge snake from afar.
“But Soojung ah! Your daughter wants you to go with her! Please~~~” Chanyeol made a face along with Soohyun. Soojung chuckled at the sight then she nodded. Although she was already cringing, she sighed and came with them.
“Look at those eyes!” Chanyeol walked rather as close as possible to the cage to have the clearest view of the snake. Soojung pressed her lips really hard trying not to scream her heart out. She was standing behind Chanyeol and held her grip tight on Chanyeol’s jacket, her eyes closed tight.
Chanyeol, after having some fun with Soohyun on his arms, turned his head around and looked at Soojung. Chanyeol smirked.
“Come on. you are Soohyun’s mother, Soojung ah!” Chanyeol teased Soojung and his hand was on top of her head. He rubbed her head as to ease her. However Soojung didn’t look like she was scared of the snake, or she looked rather unfocused. She looked up and smiled awkwardly at Chanyeol. he frowned in confusion but then showed his toothy smile and got back to talk with Soohyun.

The next activity they took part in was riding roller coaster. After the long ride Chanyeol felt his stomach roaring from inside, he felt hot so he took off his jacket and gave it to Soojung.
“Can you take this jacket for me? I’m carrying Soohyun so…” Soojung nodded although her face looked more nervous over something Chanyeol couldn’t figure out what.

The rest of the day Chanyeol swore there was something wrong about Soojung since she was always looking at nothing in particular; she was so out of the fun.

“It was a fun day, Chanyeol ah. Thank you so much for playing with us.” Soojung said as they were walking back to her house, since her house was near the zoo.
“Yeah… Said the mom who let me babysit her daughter the whole day!” Chanyeol joked which made Soojung laugh.
“If only Soohyun hadn’t sticked to uncle Chanyeol so much!” Soojung answered, she smiled at Chanyeol and pinched her daughter’s cheek lightly, who was carried by Chanyeol.
“She already slept. She sure was playing a lot today.” Soojung continued.
“You know it Soojung.” Chanyeol sighed in a joking manner. Soojung smiled afterwards. He never failed to make her smile.

When they reached Soojung’s house’s gate, she held the sleeping Soohyun out of Chanyeol’s hands.
“Thank you for playing with us again, Chanyeol.” Chanyeol nodded upon hearing her. He just felt content being with her and the kid.
“No, madam. It’s my pleasure to be with you!” A smack on the head for Chanyeol and a yelp came after that.
“Seriously, without you we wouldn’t be this fun and happy.” Soojung got back to be serious.
Chanyeol just smiled and nodded to Soojung then he turned his back and started walking. 

“Hey!” Soojung called loudly from behind. Chanyeol turned back, a little taken aback after some minutes of walking.
“I have been wondering about this…” Soojung seemed nervous, he knew it. Her cheeks went red and her hands sqeezing her own dress. He was so sure about the biting lips she had on. She was definitiely nervous about something. But it was related to Chanyeol?
“Let’s go sit on that bench over there. It seems to be taking long.” Chanyeol pointed to the wooden bench nearby. Soojung nodded and she went straight across the road.
“SOOJUNG!” Chanyeol ran his fastest to Soojung who was going half way. He pulled her into an embrace and made a turn around so that they avoided a motorbike driving fiercefully towards Soojung.
It was a huge relief that no one got injured. The guy was probably fine because he didn’t stop his bike.
But they still held on each other tightly; no, Chanyeol already let his hands out. Soojung was grabbing on his jacket, her eyes tightened and her head buried on his chest.
Chanyeol pulled her out after some seconds of standing still. He sighed.
“You gave me a heart attack, Soojung. Are you alright?”
Soojung looked up, her eyes like puppys’ because they turned red and watery.
“I-I’m alright. I’m sorry…” 
“Come.” Chanyeol took her wrist and they went to sit on the bench.
“Phew.. Finally here. Such a long way huh?” Soojung laughed at Chayeol’s joke, making the mood better.
“So… What did you want to say? You looked so lost and unfocused all this day.” Chanyeol turned hs head to the right to face Soojung.
“Well… I have been thinking over this so much recently…” Chanyeol nodded and gestured his hand to persuade Soojung to continue.
“So…” Soojung inhaled a deep breath. “I’m gonna be straight. I can’t decide whether I want to re-marry or not. Yet.”
Chanyeol stumbled upon hearing the words. What did he just hear?
“...What?” He choked on his own spit, his eyes kept rolling and staring everywhere. His crush wanted to re-marry? But he never saw her being intimate with any man. Or maybe… just maybe… was he the one?
“Yes. I don’t know if I want to re-marry. With you. Chanyeol ah.” Soojung looked the reddest he ever saw.
“But… all of a sudden…?” He thought he was just in his dreams., because it felt so familiar, because it always happened in his dreams…
“What do you mean? You just confessed to me when you handed me the box through you jacket!?” Soojung pointed her index finger to his jacket, right to his pocket.
Chanyeol looked down and put his hand in the pocket.
He just wanted to burst out laughing at the moment. Why was he so clumsy like that? Why didn’t he remember to put the box to its right place? Why did he put the box in his pocket anyways? And why did he handed the jacket to Soojung so naturally it became a perfect confession?
But the situation didn’t allow him to laugh. Rather than laughing he just stared in awe.
“Oh…” It wasn’t a good choice to say that he didn’t mean to confess Soojung, not in that way. But saying it would make the things messed up. He knew Soojung realized his love for her years ago. So why not pending on a lucky chance now?
“At first I thought I could never forget… you know… my old husband, our childhood friend.” Soojung was then facing the ground. She was not cofident enough to call her husband’s name. “But five years came and the time made my love for him keep fading like a good memory, which was just memory to be exact... It’s gone for good.”
“Soojung…”
“You were always there for me. You always took care of me and my child. Like you were her father. You always helped me babysit the kid, so we took them to the park together. People thought we were married.” Her words were going more firmly and fluently. “It happened so much so we just got along with it.”
“I’m sorry for that, Soojung…”
“But! Don’t you think… We look super cute with a kid?” Soojung turned her head to face Chanyeol but he wasn’t looking at her anymore. He was the one who faced the ground instead.
“You have gone too far Soo…”
“I was thinking like that lately.” She reached Chanyeol’s hand which made him shiver.
“It’s time to move on. So… I guess I accept your confession. Chanyeol ah.”
