Cynical Paradise
"Where did everyone go?" Lay asked Suho after looking around and seeing no one.
"Not sure." Suho answered. "Would you like some coffee?" he asked holding up his coffee cup.
"I'm more of a tea person. You drink too much coffee." Lay answered eyeing Suho's cup.
"I know, it's a bad habit. But we all have one."
"True."
They stook there quietly while Lay was making his tea.
"Have you told anyone about the things I told you?" Lay asked quietly.
Suho looked at him and thought back to the night before.
"Will Sehun be okay tonight?" Lay asked as he stepped into Suho's room after Sehun had left.
"He always is. He's a smart kid he can get by." Suho answered as he was finishing up his report on their mission on the laptop.
"It kind of reminds me of the first time I snuck away." Lay said.
"You? I don't believe you would sneak away," Suho raised an eyebrow at him.
"You don't know me Joonmyun," Lay smirked back.
"Then tell me about it."
Lay took a deep breath and started,"I was around 11 years old and my parents were fighting again so I couldn't take it anymore and left."
"That's it?" Suho asked.
Lay shook his head "I took a train to the other side of town, I didn't know where to go or what to do. I quickly made my way back home to my parents. When I finally entered my house that night everything was so quiet and still. I felt like everything was okay and that they had stopped fighting. Boy, was I wrong."
"It sounds like any normal story. A boy running away then realising they were wrong to do so and went back home." Suho shrugged.
"In the normal stories, do they come back to find their dad holding a bloody vase and their mom on the floor bleeding to death?" Lay asked.
